Cast Up A Highway

Will You Choose to Accept

Posted on July 29, 2016 at 7:40 AM

Last blog ended with a challenge:

Will you accept the assignment Jesus has for you?

If you are not yet in Jesus’ Kingdom, I invite you to come today. Choose to accept our loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as your King. Open your heart to Him, and see how much He loves you. Earnestly bowing down your pride, your ego, before His throne will result in an infilling of love and joy. It will bring a new quality of life into your journey, and it will guarantee you entrance into an eternity of unimaginable joy with God.

I spoke of the chaos in our world of today, of the terrorists spreading their evil violence around the earth aiming for total domination. This is not the first time in history for this to occur. Take a look at Isaiah in the Old Testament of the Bible, and see what God says about it:

Isaiah 25:5-12 (AMPC)

5 As the heat in a dry land [is reduced by the shadow of a cloud, so] You will bring down the noise of aliens [exultant over their enemies]; and as the heat is brought low by the shadow of a cloud, so the song of the ruthless ones is brought low.

6 And on this Mount [Zion] shall the Lord of hosts make for all peoples a feast of rich things [symbolic of His coronation festival inaugurating the reign of the Lord on earth, in the wake of a background of gloom, judgment, and terror], a feast of wines on the lees—of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

God does not sit idly by and watch terrorist torment and murder:

7 And He will destroy on this mountain the covering of the face that is cast over the heads of all peoples [in mourning], and the veil [of profound wretchedness] that is woven and spread over all nations.

8 He will swallow up death [in victory; He will abolish death forever]. And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; and the reproach of His people He will take away from off all the earth; for the Lord has spoken it.

9 It shall be said in that day, Behold our God upon Whom we have waited and hoped, that He might save us! This is the Lord, we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.

Isaiah was a prophet and he was given this to speak over what I believe are these end times. You see, our God has a plan for these days, and we must continue to pray for His plan to come forth.

At this time of the political conventions in the United States and the coming elections, I ask all to pray that God’s will be done. I plead with all God’s people, exercise your God given right to VOTE. Pray earnestly for whom to cast your ballot, then do your duty. I myself will vote for Trump, e's not perfect, but I believe he, as a non-politician with a commitment to America and its constitution, can and will do things necessary to restore our nation to the place God created it to be. That’s my vote. I will never tell anyone to vote for a certain person, but I will say pray and look for God’s will. All are imperfect candidates, but who can God work through?

Did not intend to get into politics, so I stop here. What is essential is to know that all the devil’s evil trampling in the world today, will not continue and triumph. God will have the last Word on it! Jesus won the victory over evil when He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for us. Jesus will prevail! Will you choose to be in His army?

God gives us the armor for fighting the enemy. Read Ephesians 6 and you will find your armor for battle. We do not just fight flesh and blood:

Ephesians 6:10-12

In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].

11 Put on God’s whole armor

[the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies],

that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.

12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood

[contending only with physical opponents],

but against the despotisms, against the powers,

against [the master spirits who are]

the world rulers of this present darkness,

against the spirit forces of wickedness

in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere..

As you continue to read the rest of Ephesians 6, you will see that God supplies us with all we need for the battle. We have nothing to fear when we choose to be in God’s hands. My friends, make that choice today. Join the battle on the side that is fighting from the place of victory already won by Jesus!

Oh dear friends, my heart is so full today! I know the awesome love of God; He lives in my heart, and our relationship is deep and intimate. He knows everything about me, my every thought, and He loves me anyway. He helps me grow into the person He created me to be.

He loves you that way too. Will you not taste and see that the Lord is good?

Psalm 34:8

O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good!

Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied)

is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him.

                                        AWESOME GOD

Sometimes the terrible awesomeness of God hits me and sends me reeling into deep meditation. It always carries its reward of a new closeness with my God. It happened this morning. In the beginning I was distracted with my mind wandering here and yon. Then I ‘woke up’ and commanded it to return. God is so good! Holy Spirit began to lead me in prayer.

Sorry, my Lord. I come to our meeting this morning with scattered thoughts; help me, Lord, to rein them in. That You even desire to meet with me is so amazing! Deep breath. Moses asked God, “what shall I say when they ask 'Who sent me’?” You responded, “Say the Great I AM sent me.” You, God, are not hemmed in by time. For You there is no ‘was, will be’, there is only I AM. Before You I bow down my heart, my 'who I am' I submit to You; help me become who You created me to be.

Exodus 3:13-14 (AMP)

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them? 14 And God said to Moses, I Am Who I Am and What I Am, and I Will Be What I Will Be; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you!

  • Footnotes: Exodus 3:15 To know the name of God is to witness the manifestation of those attributes and apprehend that character which the name denotes.

Can you feel the depth of that name? 'I AM' signifies so much ~ timelessness, absolute love, supreme power, unimaginable expansion ~ an incomprehensible being, totally surrounding. There simply are not words to express the grandness of Who our God is. HIS LOVE FOR US  S SO APPARENT IN HIS WORD!

Psalm 91:14 (AMP)

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

Isaiah 52:6 (AMP)

Therefore My people shall know what My name is and what it means; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks; behold, I Am!

Indeed my God! You are the great I AM! This measures so deep and so high and so wide. You revealed Your staggering magnificence to David, and it comes out here:

Psalm 139:1-10

O Lord, you have examined my heart

and know everything about me.

2 You know when I sit down or stand up.

You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.

Even when it’s my mind traveling on tangents.

3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home.

You know everything I do.

4 You know what I am going to say

even before I say it, Lord.

5 You go before me and follow me.

You place your hand of blessing on my head.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,

too great for me to understand!

7 I can never escape from your Spirit!

I can never get away from your presence!

8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;

if I go down to the grave, you are there.

9 If I ride the wings of the morning,

if I dwell by the farthest oceans,

10 even there your hand will guide me,

and your strength will support me.

You are always with me.

You will guide me.

You will always be my support. Your strength

upholds me, protects me, supports me.

Lord, You are so good! What a privilege to know You! Thank You that You continue to grow me closer to You. Thank You! I love being together with You, my Lord.
