WHAT IS THE ANSWER?

My friends, sadly our enemy has been hard at work to bring hatred into our culture, and it is a strong weapon. However, Jesus has provided us with the alternative. If we choose Him, we can see peace reign again.

Picture one person sitting on one side of a table, and another sitting on the opposite side. Between them hangs a ball that is half painted green and other side is blue. The two people will argue all day about what color the ball is, and swear they are right.

That is what is occurring today, and building a huge darkness in our culture. One side listens to liberal ideas; other side listens to the conservative, and each forms their ideas thusly. They are opposite in many ways. Now our country has always accepted that we don’t all think alike, and we don’t have to be enemies.

However, the evil  enemy has entered into our culture manipulating truths and emotions and causing hate to build between the two sides. Those who are old enough remember when voting for a president was a debate between friends and family. But no one hated the other. They remained friends. This is how our country was formed, and that is the destiny  purposed for us. Anger was not part of it; rather the opposite is true, and Jesus taught us about it. Look at John 15 in the Bible:

 Jesus the Living Vine

John 15:1-17 “I am a true sprouting vine, and the farmer who tends the vine is my Father. 2 He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches[a] and pruning[b] every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest. 3 The words I have spoken over you have already cleansed[c] you. 4 So you must remain in life-union with me,[d] for I remain in life-union with you.

For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so your life will be fruitless unless you live your life intimately joined to Mine.

This is a clear message from Jesus to us. We must have a true heart connection to Jesus, so His life can flow into us; so our spirit can connect with His Holy Spirit, then we can hear and live by His thoughts~

“I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches.[e] Recall that a branch that is attached to the vine receives life giving sap.

As you live in union with Me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from Me you are powerless. 6 If a person is separated from Me, he is discarded; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire to be burned.

7 But if you live in life-union with Me and if My words live powerfully[g] within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done. 8 When your lives bear abundant fruit, you demonstrate that you are My mature disciples who glorify My Father!

9 “I love each of you with the same love that the Father loves Me. You must continually let My love nourish your hearts.

10 If you keep My commands, you will live in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commands, for I continually live nourished and empowered by His love.

Jesus does not say love the ones who agree with you. He goes so far as to tell us to love our enemies, the ones who hurt us and mistreat us, and maybe even abuse us.

11 My purpose for telling you these things is so that the joy that I experience will fill your hearts with overflowing gladness!

Our obedience to His commands will result in joy filling our life.

12 “So this is my command:

Love each other deeply, as much as I have loved you.[h] 13 For the greatest love of all is a love that sacrifices all. And this great love is demonstrated when a person sacrifices his life[i] for his friends.

14 “You show that you are My intimate friends when you obey[j] all that I command you. 15 I have never called you ‘servants,’[l] because a master doesn’t confide in his servants, and servants don’t always understand what the master is doing. But I call you My most intimate friends,[m] for I reveal to you everything that I’ve heard from My Father.

Have you ever considered the thought that Jesus considered you an “intimate friend”? Do you see Him as your intimate friend? He can be you know; how does an intimate friendship develop? Time. Spending time together. Make time each day to spend in prayer, meditation on His Word and in His presence; then intimacy can grow.

16 You didn’t choose Me, but I’ve chosen[n] and commissioned you to go into the world[o] to bear fruit. And your fruit will last, because whatever you ask of my Father, for My sake,[p] He will give it to you!  Bearing fruit is to love others, to live love and share love, and teach love. That means do not allow the enemy to poison your thoughts and emotions with hatred. He is successfully accomplishing this in our culture today. Resist him! Allow love to flow through you.

17 So this is my parting command: Love one another deeply!”

Love its the key to removing the enemy weapon of hatred from our culture. It all begins with us. Spread the word. Love people even those who think differently than you. Open up your heart to overflow with “love”.

SEARCHING FOR A CLOSER WALK WITH GOD

                                        AWESOME GOD

 DIGGING DEEPER

Sometimes the terrible awesomeness of God hits me and sends me reeling into deep meditation. It always carries its reward of a new closeness with my God. It happened this morning. In the beginning I was distracted with my mind wandering here and yon. Then I ‘woke up’ and commanded it to return. God is so good! Holy Spirit began to lead me in prayer.

Sorry, my Lord. I come to our meeting this morning with scattered thoughts; help me, Lord, to rein them in. That You even desire to meet with me is so amazing! Deep breath. Moses asked God, “what shall I say when they ask 'Who sent me’?” You responded, “Say the Great I AM sent me.” You, God, are not hemmed in by time. For You there is no ‘was, will be’, there is only I AM. Before You I bow down my heart, my 'who I am' I submit to You; help me become who You created me to be.

Exodus 3:13-14 (AMP)

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them? 14 And God said to Moses, I Am Who I Am and What I Am, and I Will Be What I Will Be; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you!

  • Footnotes: Exodus 3:15 To know the name of God is to witness the manifestation of those attributes and apprehend that character which the name denotes.

Can you feel the depth of that name? 'I AM' signifies so much ~ timelessness, absolute love, supreme power, unimaginable expansion ~ an incomprehensible being, totally surrounding. There simply are not words to express the grandness of Who our God is. HIS LOVE FOR US  S SO APPARENT IN HIS WORD!

Psalm 91:14 (AMP)

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

Isaiah 52:6 (AMP)

Therefore My people shall know what My name is and what it means; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks; behold, I Am!

Indeed my God! You are the great I AM! This measures so deep and so high and so wide. You revealed Your staggering magnificence to David, and it comes out here:

Psalm 139:1-10

O Lord, you have examined my heart

and know everything about me.

2 You know when I sit down or stand up.

You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.

Even when it’s my mind traveling on tangents.

3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home.

You know everything I do.

4 You know what I am going to say

even before I say it, Lord.

5 You go before me and follow me.

You place your hand of blessing on my head.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,

too great for me to understand!

7 I can never escape from your Spirit!

I can never get away from your presence!

8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;

if I go down to the grave, you are there.

9 If I ride the wings of the morning,

if I dwell by the farthest oceans,

10 even there your hand will guide me,

and your strength will support me.

You are always with me.

You will guide me.

You will always be my support. Your strength

upholds me, protects me, supports me.

Lord, You are so good! What a privilege to know You! Thank You that You continue to grow me closer to You. Thank You! I love being together with You, my Lord.
