TRUST

Posted on August 16, 2019 at 3:50 AM

I'm remembering when the  kids were small. We were swimming and they were just learning. They were at the steps entering the pool and and I said "jump to me" as I held my arms out. They trusted me and I caught them. One time she didn't jump far enough and went under water before I could catch her. Of course, I was close enough to grab her up quickly.. Because we had already  built a trust relationship, she continued to jump to me.

We have that situation with God too. Our ability to trust God is of critical importance for us to live a peaceful and powerful life. My little ones knew I loved them and would not abandon them. Do you have any idea how much Father God loves us? I know some do, but if you do not, then how can you trust Him? How do you begin a new friendship? You arrange to spend time with that person so you can get to know them on a deeper level sharing ideas and getting to know their character. That;s the way we come to know God also.

Once you become acquainted with Who He truly is, You will  be aware of His faithfulness and His love for you. Begin by getting to know His Word in the Bible. Find a good Bible Study and a good church that teaches the Word. Ask God to lead you  to the place He has for you to learn and grow.

My friends, this will be the most exciting time in your  life! Connecting with God, I mean truly getting to know Him and how much He cares for you, is a joy filling time. As you continue to build your relationship, with Him, You can experience His help as you meet challenges in life. He doesn't promises to take them awy, but He does promise to walk through them with you. Some Scriptures that have held me close are:

Romans 8:28  (NIV)

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Psalm 138:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;

Isaiah 43:1 (AMP)

I have called you by name; you are Mine!

He promises to help us through our trials and storms; He will never abandon us. To us it may seem like He is not listening, but He is listening and working behind  the scenes for us. Trusting means we do not turn away from Him, but continue to trust Him to be faithful to His promises no matter what the circumstances look like. Our powerful God is not bound by worldly ways. Keep thanking Him for being faithful to His Word. Trust Him. He never fails us. That does not mean He aslways gives us what we want in our timimg, but He'll always give us what's best for us in His best timing. We are  called to trust!
