Scriptures talk about 'Fear of the Lord' . That is not necessarily fear 'be afraid of Him.' You see another definition is "reverential awe". So I asked myself, Do I have reverential awe of my God? Do I have fear of the Lord in my heart? I have a close relatinship with God, but. . .
Lord help me. Do I have reverential awe of You, or have i gotten too familiar? Holy Spirit You are awesome and great, mighty with power, the fire in my bones. You love me, and when You told me that, it drew me to You like moth to a light. Since then, I feel Your love; know that indeed You do love me. I feel close to You.
And You, Father God, have loved me as Your daughter and I know that and love You as well. You are my Father and my God. I bow down at Your feet and place myself and my trust in You, my God, Who created the universe! You are so huge, so magnificent! Your glory fills the temple. Your power is fearsome! You speak in a still small voice so we can hear and comprehend and not be scared out of our wits by a booming sound.
Jesus, last I bow down to You, my Savior who made it possible to have a relationship with my God. You removed my sin nature; caused me to be a true child of Almighty God, with His DNA. Your love Jesus built us a beautiful world, then You entered into it by stepping down to become human, one of us, so we could really come to know our God. Jesus sometimes I see You as less great than the Father and the Holy Spirit, I repent of that false idea. For You are full of almighty love, power and grace.
Then I sit in my prayer closet in the quiet of my home, and His mighty power is contained in the moments of His Presence. Listen to Hebrews 1:3 describing Jesus:
Hebrews 1:3 The Passion Translation The Son is the dazzling radiance of God’s splendor,[ the exact expression of God’s true nature—his mirror image! He holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of his spoken word. He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins, and then took his seat on the highest throne at the right hand of the majestic One.
Don't you think these are great Words of the Bible to describe Jesus who holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of His spoken word? He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins. Now He sits at the right hand of the Father.
Thank You my Jesus for making all joy possible!
