Walk in the Wilderness

Posted on May 3, 2017 at 9:40 AM

Love You Jesus! I give my heart to You. You have everything I could ever want! Help me Jesus to be whom You call me to be. I bow before You feeling that I am no one special that You should grant me anything, but I also know that You love me enough to go through intense pain and suffering to cleanse sin from me. I know I am the daughter of a King whom I worship and adore. Just know that I will for my life to be led by You every moment of every day. Holy Spirit come indwell me with all Your power; lead me that I may live a life pleasing to You, my God!

"Come I will lead you Mary “There are ways thru the wilderness you do not know.”

We walk. Sun gets hotter; dusty ground burns thru my soles; stones on the path try to turn my ankles to pain. We always face attacks of all kinds from the enemy.

Where are we going Holy Spirit, or is it too soon to ask?

“Trust Me Mary.”

The wind begins to blow. It’s a little refreshing until I’m breathing in dust. Rounding a bend I see a hole in the rock face. . . it's old empty tomb. Knowing my Guide, it must be Jesus’ tomb from which He arose. I look in and it's abandoned. There’s no angel, only some old cloth.

He's gone from here. Do I not look forward instead of backward?

You always move forward, Mary, having knowledge of the past.

"How can you see the future if the past is not honored?"

The empty tomb signifies that Jesus rose from the dead; the tomb is empty now. Where is He?

Sitting at the right hand of the Father.

Yes, but more important~ is He also in your heart? Have you invited Him in?

Yes, my Lord, I have invited Jesus to come be Lord of my Life!

The trail continues upward ever upward. Tiredness pulls down my energy; muscles burn from fatigue. It’s a painful journey, and my breathing is beginning to be strained. The sun is setting; day is ending. Jesus is faithful. I see a cave with a small fire lit outside the opening. Rest. Ahh, finally there is rest. I make my way there; dumping off my gear I collapse on a rock and lean back against the wall. Eyes almost closed in sleep; then I ask, “where did this all come from?” I see Holy Spirit ‘face’ smiling in the reflected fire.

You are so good, Holy One! Thank You!

Indeed, He is always with us to provide what we need!

When life grows weary, and pain knocks at the door, what do you do? Remember Jesus and His body bloody from the cruel scourging? Meditate on your own pain? Offer God the pain to use. . .

As my Mom lay close to death, I watched the hospice nurse pull away the long bandage that packed her bedsore. When it was all out I saw bone. Somehow I knew she was offering up this suffering for one of us. How does this work? I don’t know, but she was uncomplaining. When my Dad died, it took awhile. He repeatedly would go, then come back. I asked the Lord why it took so long for him to die? Then He asked me, “When did you ever see your father bow down to anyone?"

True, he was a proud man. Then Father God showed me a vision of my Dad, dressed in a glowing white tunic down on one knee like a knight bowing before a king; it was King Jesus also dressed in the same white tunic. My Dad is with King Jesus now, as is my Mom! Did her suffering offered up as her cross to bear for my Dad help His decision to bow before Christ? I do not know.

Matthew 10:38-39 (NKJV)

And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

How does this Scripture relate to our "life of ease?" Questions today. More understanding required. I love You Lord! Please teach me. And Lord ease the pains of Your children suffering hugely under cruel ISIS.

My husband and i were joyous that Jordan could conclude his survey through the entire precious recommendations he grabbed through your web site. It's not at all simplistic to just be making a gift of thoughts that many other people could have been making money from. Therefore we discover we need the blog owner to appreciate for this. The specific explanations you made, the easy web site navigation, the relationships you will make it easier to create - it's got most spectacular, and it's really leading our son and us recognize that the article is thrilling, and that's wonderfully pressing. SEARCHING FOR A CLOSER WALK WITH GOD

                                        AWESOME GOD

 DIGGING DEEPER

Sometimes the terrible awesomeness of God hits me and sends me reeling into deep meditation. It always carries its reward of a new closeness with my God. It happened this morning. In the beginning I was distracted with my mind wandering here and yon. Then I ‘woke up’ and commanded it to return. God is so good! Holy Spirit began to lead me in prayer.

Sorry, my Lord. I come to our meeting this morning with scattered thoughts; help me, Lord, to rein them in. That You even desire to meet with me is so amazing! Deep breath. Moses asked God, “what shall I say when they ask 'Who sent me’?” You responded, “Say the Great I AM sent me.” You, God, are not hemmed in by time. For You there is no ‘was, will be’, there is only I AM. Before You I bow down my heart, my 'who I am' I submit to You; help me become who You created me to be.

Exodus 3:13-14 (AMP)

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them? 14 And God said to Moses, I Am Who I Am and What I Am, and I Will Be What I Will Be; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you!

  • Footnotes: Exodus 3:15 To know the name of God is to witness the manifestation of those attributes and apprehend that character which the name denotes.

Can you feel the depth of that name? 'I AM' signifies so much ~ timelessness, absolute love, supreme power, unimaginable expansion ~ an incomprehensible being, totally surrounding. There simply are not words to express the grandness of Who our God is. HIS LOVE FOR US  S SO APPARENT IN HIS WORD!

Psalm 91:14 (AMP)

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

Isaiah 52:6 (AMP)

Therefore My people shall know what My name is and what it means; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks; behold, I Am!

Indeed my God! You are the great I AM! This measures so deep and so high and so wide. You revealed Your staggering magnificence to David, and it comes out here:

Psalm 139:1-10

O Lord, you have examined my heart

and know everything about me.

2 You know when I sit down or stand up.

You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.

Even when it’s my mind traveling on tangents.

3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home.

You know everything I do.

4 You know what I am going to say

even before I say it, Lord.

5 You go before me and follow me.

You place your hand of blessing on my head.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,

too great for me to understand!

7 I can never escape from your Spirit!

I can never get away from your presence!

8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;

if I go down to the grave, you are there.

9 If I ride the wings of the morning,

if I dwell by the farthest oceans,

10 even there your hand will guide me,

and your strength will support me.

You are always with me.

You will guide me.

You will always be my support. Your strength

upholds me, protects me, supports me.

Lord, You are so good! What a privilege to know You! Thank You that You continue to grow me closer to You. Thank You! I love being together with You, my Lord.
