What Is Your Mountain?

Pastor Mark is covering serious business. Father, it’s past time Your Body of believers woke up. You have sent warnings, and they have been ignored. We, as a church, must work now to regain the 7 mountains of influence: 1) government, 2) education, 3) media, 4) arts and entertainment, 5) family, 6) religion, 7) business.

Some are looking at the whole picture and feeling overwhelmed like, it’s impossible; our nation is too far gone. Evil has gained too much ground. We can never win our nation back from evil. Give up, sit back, live my life good, and wait on God.

But God never told anyone to just sit. He always requires a response from us. Look at Jonah and Nineveh: God forced Jonah to do what he did not want to do, because God wanted Nineveh saved: once he warned them, they repented and God saved them. Whether we like our assignment or not, if God gave it, we must do it.

It is necessary for the body of Christ to wake up and begin to repent for our nation; it needs to open eyes to see where each individual can gain access to their mountain of influence; then they can enter in and bring the Light of God back to fight evil that is gaining the influence. Some are doing it now. One church for instance is making good movies like the movie Courageous. My nine year old loves that movie! It’s about fatherhood and family.

Every single one of us has a responsibility to pray and to ask God for our own assignment. Which mountain of influence can we affect? What gifts has God given us that will lead us to know our mountain to climb? We each have a purpose and an assignment. We are called to step out remembering God is with us. God told Joshua to be courageous as he began his new responsibilities:

Joshua 1:5-9 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you.

6 Be strong (confident) and of good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

7 Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

8 This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

9 Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Joshua 1:8 This is the only place in the early English versions where the word “success” is found. The secret of success is given in verses 5 through 9. Joshua accepted Moses’ place of leadership without misgivings. God’s will for him was his will, and he did not hesitate. To go “all out” for God was already habitual with him; it is the unfailing prerequisite of eternal success

Almighty God has the same message for you and me. if God has a new assignment for us or wants a paradigm shift in how we see our current job, then remember, God is always with us. He will never forsake us! We just keep in the Word, schedule an appointment to meet with God every single day and be faithful to keep it.

Psalm 1:1-3 (AMP)

1 Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.

2 But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.

3 And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].

This new year is unlike any other new year. We are called to come forth out of our routine, to step out in unfamiliar territory, to follow where the Holy Spirit leads us. Be not afraid! Prayer is a two-way conversation; we listen well!

Life Is a Play

Good morning Lord! This is the day You have made! We shall rejoice and be glad in it! Awesome and full of majesty and wonder You are. We're exhilarated in Your presence!

We can count on You! So we greet the morning with joy no matter what the day holds. We bow before You and worship You! You created this world and all the planets in the universe. You arranged for everything to work together. You made all things good. You designed man and woman in all our intricacies. You created us to live together in love and harmony and righteousness.

Lord, You put the generational play in motion. Only problem is You left the enemy to roam the earth like a roaring lion seeking whom he might devour [1 Peter 5:7-9]; he is not underfed these days. But then You also sent Your Son Jesus to be our Savior, to give us strength against the enemy. You even gave us Yourself to live in us, yes, to dwell within us; so we have Your power in us. Father, in all the scenes of this life play, You are the director, the screen writer Who gave us the script ~ Your Word. Those who follow the script become the victorious ones. You did not leave us to be the beast’s fodder.

Jesus, You agreed from the time before time began to rescue us, to allow Your blood to be sacrificed for us, to cleanse the original sin from our nature, our souls, our bodies. Once forgiven and shriven of sin by You, we exist in a new paradigm shift where freedom opens heaven’s doors to us. The absolution You provided is more than our humble minds are capable of understanding; yet as we choose to believe and invite You to come live in our hearts, be the Lord of our lives, we are free as the running colt, the newly released calf or frolicking bear cubs ~ interesting the pictures in my mind are all recently birthed creatures.

That’s the joy we have as we are born again into Jesus’ kingdom, freed from our old sin nature, blessed with a fearless new life. Yes, fearless because we now know the truth. God, our Father, loves us more than we can know, loves us as sons and daughters. Thus He protects us and teaches us, and provides joy unspeakable!

Because of this, the enemy’s conniving schemes, his plans for our destruction, are not able to cause us worry, because we know our God is in control. He calls us to do our part ~ and He will reveal to us what that is, and He will support us in any undertaking He calls us to perform. So, my friends, worry not about anything. Trust in our mighty Creator God with all your heart, and receive the peace of the Savior everyday.

Know the Great I AM!

Sometimes the terrible awesomeness of God hits me and sends me reeling into deep meditation. It always carries its reward of a new closeness with my God. It happened this morning. In the beginning I was distracted with my mind wandering here and yon. Then I ‘woke up’ and commanded it to return. God is so good! Holy Spirit began to lead me in prayer.

Sorry, my Lord. I come to our meeting this morning with scattered thoughts; help me, Lord, to rein them in. That You even desire to meet with me is so amazing! Deep breath. Moses asked God, “what shall I say when they ask 'Who sent me’?” You responded, “Say the great I AM sent me.” You, God, are not hemmed in by time. For You there is no ‘was, will be’, there is only I AM. Before You I bow down my heart, my 'who I am' I submit to You; help me become who You created me to be.

Exodus 3:13-14 (AMP)

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them? 14 And God said to Moses, I Am Who I Am and What I Am, and I Will Be What I Will Be; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you!

Footnotes: Exodus 3:15 To know the name of God is to witness the manifestation of those attributes and apprehend that character which the name denotes.

Can you feel the depth of that name? 'I AM' signifies so much ~ timelessness, absolute love, supreme power, unimaginable expansion ~ an incomprehensible being, totally surrounding. There simply are not words to express the grandness of Who our God is.

Psalm 91:14 (AMP)

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

Isaiah 52:6 (AMP)

Therefore My people shall know what My name is and what it means; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks; behold, I Am!

Indeed my God! You are the great I AM! This measures so deep and so high and so wide. You revealed Your staggering magnificence to David, and it comes out here:

Psalm 139:-1-10

O Lord, you have examined my heart

and know everything about me.

2 You know when I sit down or stand up.

You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.

Even when it’s my mind traveling on tangents.

3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home.

You know everything I do.

4 You know what I am going to say

even before I say it, Lord.

5 You go before me and follow me.

You place your hand of blessing on my head.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,

too great for me to understand!

7 I can never escape from your Spirit!

I can never get away from your presence!

8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;

if I go down to the grave, you are there.

9 If I ride the wings of the morning,

if I dwell by the farthest oceans,

10 even there your hand will guide me,

and your strength will support me.

You are always with me. You will guide me.

You will always be my support. Your strength

upholds me, protects me, supports me.

David knew You great I AM! We can know You too!

You Were Born for These Times!

We were born for such a time as this. It is no accident that at this time in our history we are walking this earth. Mighty God has prepared you and I for these turbulent days and those ahead.

Sermon tonight spoke of being warriors, prayer warriors. God has called us all, but how many will hear? The enemy has seductively placed veils in front of many eyes that they cannot recognize truth. There are tears on my cheeks for those who have been blinded. We have put our national trust in a government who actively radically endorses murdering of babies. God forbade sacrificing children to Baal. In Jesus day the leader sent his soldiers out to murder all male babies under 2 years old. How would people react today at a command like that? Then Jeremiah speaks of baby killing as sacrifice.

Jeremiah 19:5(MSG)

3-5 “Say, ‘Listen to God’s Word, you kings of Judah and people of Jerusalem! This is the Message from God-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God of Israel. I’m about to bring doom crashing down on this place. Oh, and will ears ever ring! Doom—because they’ve walked off and left me, and made this place strange by worshiping strange gods, gods never heard of by them, their parents, or the old kings of Judah. Doom—because they have massacred innocent people. Doom—because they’ve built altars to that no-god Baal, and burned their own children alive in the fire as offerings to Baal, an atrocity I never ordered, never so much as hinted at.

We have murdered over 50,000 babies in the last 10 years, sacrificed them to Baal, to a false god. . .The god of self, of inconvenience, of selfishness ~ all false gods we worship. And we are all responsible for this heinous sin.

Now the push for gay marriage is escalating and will redefine marriage totally against God’s laws. Look at homosexuality in the New Testament:

Romans 1:25-27 (AMP)

25 Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen (so be it).

26 For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one,

27 And the men also turned from natural relations with women and were set ablaze (burning out, consumed) with lust for one another—men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong-doing and going astray, which was [their] fitting retribution.

This is sin. So we have leaders who are all for redefining marriage. Even our president is one who is undermining the foundation of our country which is God Himself. He stated “America is not a Christian nation.” Now he’s making every effort to fulfill that prophecy.

The building national debt is enslaving our nation. We are born to be free. Under Jesus Christ, our Savior, we are free. Let us not be seduced into slavery!

Any man or woman who has eyes to see can acknowledge the truth of these statements. Why have we allowed ourselves to be blinded for so long? Let us make 2013 a year of repentance. As a church body of Christ we need to begin building altars to our almighty God! Prayer is our major weapon against satan and the evil that is sweeping our nation. Build your personal prayer altar to the Almighty!

God Is Jealous

Posted on January 16, 2013 at 6:55 PM Comments comments (0)

Charles Spurgeon inhabits the heart of God. His writings are so right on with God's desires! This post comes from his writings. I have placed a short meditation after each paragraph. You may want to do the same for yourself as it speaks to you.

The Lord is jealous of your love, O believer. Did He choose you? He cannot bear that you should choose another. Did He buy you with His own blood? He cannot endure that you should think that you are your own, or that you belong to this world. He loved you with such a love that He would not stop in Heaven without you; He would sooner die than you should perish, and He cannot endure that anything should stand between your heart's love and Himself.

Jesus, You are jealous of my love. You love me so much You died for me~ Jesus how can I allow the world to draw me away from You? Why do I give in to the tug of the world becoming involved with its perks and problems? I am ashamed. I know the truth, yet still I cannot seem to remain fixed to Your love in my heart. I recognize that my answer to every concern, situation, or challenge always is You Jesus. You love me so completely, You would do anything to help me; so, Jesus, help me be fixed to You!

He is very jealous of your trust. He will not permit you to trust in the arm of the flesh. When we lean upon Him he is glad, but when we transfer our dependence to another, when we rely upon our own wisdom, or the wisdom of a friend-worst of all, when we trust in any works of our own, He is displeased and will chasten us that He may bring us to Himself.

Jesus my trust in You can be total! You are the One Who died to save me. I can trust You to walk safely along every cliff with me, to be a fortress of protection, to heal any part of me that gets broken. I choose to come to You first for any need in my life. Only You can be my source of wisdom for every circumstance.

He is also very jealous of our company. There should be no one that we converse more than Jesus. To commune with the world, to find sufficient solace in our carnal comforts, to prefer even the society of our fellow Christians to secret intercourse with Him...this is grievous to our jealous Lord.

Hello Jesus! It’s good to be with You this morning! Be with me throughout this day leading and guiding, speaking through my mouth and sharing Your thoughts with me. Help me to be aware of Your constant presence.

Let this jealousy which would keep us near to Christ, be also a comfort to us, for if He loves us so much as to care about our love, we can be sure that He will allow nothing to harm us, and will protect us from our enemies.

--Charles Haddon Spurgeon Thank You Jesus! You love me; You lift me up; You protect me from the schemes and lies of the enemy. I love You too!
