Cast Up A Highway

God's "Muscle"

Posted on June 15, 2018 at 5:15 AM Comments comments (115)

Sometimes we think of the Holy Spirit as this invisible spirit without substance and really unknowable. However, this concept totally changed for me at a powerful service we had one Sunday when Chip Brimm spoke! It impressed a fresh awareness in my spirit as he revealed a new perspective of Holy Spirit! His words were: "Holy Spirit is the "muscle" of God"!  Wow!! And this power of God, this muscle of God dwells in all born again believers! With the "muscle" of God indwelling me, protecting me, why should I ever fear anything?

Chip gave an analogy of a losing basketball coach who so wanted to win, but he kept losing. This coach had Michael Jordan sitting on the bench, but he never played him. Finally, someone showed him the problem, he began putting in Michael Jordan and everything changed!

We have Holy Spirit within us. Is He just sitting on the bench in your life? He was in mine for awhile, but never again. Holy Spirit is third Person of the Trinity. He is God. I'll never forget the morning about a year ago when Holy Spirit told me that He, Himself, as the Third Person of the Trinity, loves me. Holy Spirit loves me. From that startling moment on I've had a totally enjoyable personal relationship with Holy Spirit. He makes me smile! You can have it too!

What Benches the Holy Spirit?

Ephesians 4: 30[MSG]

Don’t grieve God. Don’t break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for Himself. Don’t take such a gift for granted.

31 [Amp] Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind).

These things will bench the Holy Spirit in our lives. They will deprive us of His power.

Put Holy Spirit Back in the Game

Restore His power to us:   32 And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted  (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another [readily and freely],  as God in Christ forgave you.

Also, a more thorough listing of love’s attributes is found in:

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (AMP)

Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy,

is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.

It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride). . .    Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. . . .

Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, it's hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

Studying the intricacies of what is involved in love, and asking Holy Spirit to reveal where we are lacking, will help us increase our Holy Spirit muscle!

Love is absolutely crucial; without love there is no power. All else is worthless if we have not love. Jesus taught us we must love God with all of our heart, soul (mind, will, and emotions), In old Hebrew this word ‘mind’ was actually ‘resources’. So we love God also above everything we own. And we love our neighbor as we love ourselves. These two commandments covered the sum and substance of all the 613 Hebrew laws - past and also in the future.

We must be born again to have Holy Spirit muscle in us. He is the miracle worker! We can only be the vessel in which God works "raising -the-dead power" if we have Holy Spirit muscle surging through us!

Remember love is a requirement; we must get coached in love, learn the complexities of love, the intricate parts of having, showing, and sharing it: the elaborate nature of God’s love. This love encompasses first a loving relationship with God, then love of others and keeps Holy Spirit clout roaring and active in our lives, so He's never just sitting on the bench.

Depth 3 Treasure Chest Discovered

Posted on September 13, 2017 at 7:35 AM Comments comments (632)

Rest time over; the journey to find the treasure is renewed. Continuing to swim has become more difficult, for my body is weary from its struggles. “Jesus, I am really getting tired.” He responds, “So you want to stop?” Again I realized this was a defining moment. Do I have the determination to continue? Is my will committed enough to pursue this journey through exhaustion to the end? Am I passionate enough about finding the heart of God to push through the fatigue?

Closing my eyes I looked into my own heart, for we cannot know the heart of God if we do not know our own heart. There I found a desperate desire to know my Lord and my God at a deeper level, to push our relationship to a farther depth. “Jesus, let’s continue” I respond.

Then the thrill hits as in the distance I see a treasure box! Yes, just like a pirate’s treasure box holding lots of golden coins. Wow! Extra energy empowers my body to move more swiftly through the water until. . .

I see large shadows swimming around it. Ok. I never even considered sharks and other dangers lurking in the darkness at this level. Jesus, what will we do now? I hear no response, though I know He is near. Looking around, I see His eyes peering at me, but no words; it’s up to me.

Pondering what I know to be true, I search my memory for an answer. There is the treasure chest which holds answers my heart deeply desires. But the bodyguards of the chest are formidable, and wisdom is required here. Check the Word. . .

Psalm 19:11-14 (MSG)

There’s more: God’s Word warns us of danger

and directs us to hidden treasure.

Otherwise how will we find our way?

Or know when we play the fool?

Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh!

Psalm 55:16-19 (MSG)

I call to God;

God will help me.

At dusk, dawn, and noon I sigh

deep sighs—he hears, he rescues.

My life is well and whole, secure

in the middle of danger

Even while thousands

are lined up against me.

God hears it all, and from his judge’s bench

puts them in their place.

But, set in their ways, they won’t change;

they pay him no mind.

It's ok. My God watches over me and He is in control.

Psalm 55:16 (AMP)

16 As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord will save me.

Jesus, Your Word says if I call upon my God, He will save me. It says my life is secure in the middle of danger. I have the authority to command the truth of the Word to take place against my enemy. I am secure in His hands, in Your hands Jesus, the great Lion of Judah!

Let us go and secure the treasure. With firm conviction I take the lead to the chest, and reaching it I give praise to my God for His wonderful goodness. The dark shapes keep their distance. I am protected.

When was the last time you called upon the faithfulness of our God? Has He helped you through a dangerous time? Did you trust in Him and His Word?

More prayers

We lift up our brothers and sisters in Houston asking God to provide comfort in this time of great loss. As flood waters decrease, the count of those who lost their lives continues to rise as death claims souls who were unable to escape the flood waters. Some survivors are suffering from lost family members and friends; plus many have lost their homes and everything in them. It's a great tragedy and many in our nation are sending physical help and/or prayers for the flood victims.

Oh Lord, in Your might we ask You to bring special miracles to Texas displaying Your mercy and grace. Lead and guide them on how to recuperate from this disaster. Help them to locate family members and special friends who got disconnected. Lord, You know what they need; we thank You for providing for them.

Dear Lord, it seems the weather is displaying on earth the spiritual battle happening in the heavenlies. This huge hurricane hitting Texas with destructive wind and rains causing flooding and calamity to many is so like the adversity caused by those who hate our nation and our President. Their evil conspiracies will not succeed no matter how many deceptions and false interpretations the enemy plots against President Tump; because our nation is full of basically good loving people who will discern the truth.

Lord God, only You have the answers, the wisdom to guide our nation through various tragedies. We thank You that this is Your nation and You will take care of us. We know we too must change, so we offer these prayers~

More from GPAN:

Father, there is a work that must be done. There is a ministry that must be accomplished before Jesus returns. The time is at hand for we see things happening in the world—wars and rumors of wars, pestilence and famines hurricanes and earthquakes. Men’s hearts failing because of fear. You said when we see these things coming to pass to rejoice, for our redemption draws near. Father, we ask in the name of Your Son Jesus, for Your anointing and power to move in the Church.

We bow before You in praise and worship!

Evil Forces Will Be Defated

Posted on August 24, 2017 at 7:40 AM Comments comments (2204)

I've pretty much had it with the enemy's works in our country!:

Lord I see this army of evil that has risen against us in this nation. It has been planned for a long time, and continues to rush in to plant it’s evil ideology into our youth. It began by taking over the schools and teaching false doctrines, and continues by feeding the minds of our people lies and deceptions.

They rally together to rise up against our President to destroy him and our nation. They use many foils to distract and to create disharmony. It has been well thought out and well planned. It has indeed become an army of demons of hate using people to do its work. Lies, deception, distractions. It becomes stronger like dark clouds of a vicious storm seen on the horizon marching forth.

Late last night I found this from Global Prayer Alert Network. In reading this petition below, the truth shouts out:

Father, You have said in Your Word:

1 Timothy 2:1-2 (AMP)

First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people, 2 for kings and all who are in [positions of] high authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.

Father, we come humbly but boldly before Your throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need for our nation—the United States of America. And by rights of creation, this nation belongs to You for surely You have created this United States of America.

This nation did not come from men. It came from You. You put the seed of this nation in men's hearts even before they knew. And You have saved other nations for Your Name’s sake. We implore You to come in the fullness of Your glory for the sake of Your Name in this nation.

You are the one and only God of the United States of America. Our heritage goes back and back to You, the founder of this nation. We thank You and praise You for it, Lord. You did not forget about us; You are mindful of that which You have said, Father.

No, You are not done with us, for You who have begun a good work will see to it to completion Thank You that You are working in and through the church of the living God. You are building Your church, and the gates of hell will not prevail!

Matthew 16:17-18 (MSG)

. . .God himself, let you in on this secret of who I really am. And now I’m going to tell you who you are, really are. You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out.

Declaring that the church is increasing and growing in these last days! We are moving from one degree of glory to another! Calling forth the glory of God to be seen in this nation!

Therefore Lord, we bring our plea before You. We set our case before You. We offer it in the Name of Jesus, guaranteed by the Blood of Jesus, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and laid out before You by Your own people. You are righteous and You will not let Your Word fall to the ground, and You are faithful to those who have sowed their lives for You. We fully expect the course of this nation to be aligned with Your plan, with Your ideas, with Your thoughts, with Your ways, and that You would sweep this nation up in Your arms, and again draw her to You. Draw her to You. Oh Lord. Draw her to You. Draw Your people to You in a great sweeping across this nation--a great sweeping, oh Lord. We request this of You. We require it of You.

Father, raise up the church and help us to shake off those things that have hindered us. Break off the bonds of tradition and religion that have held us bound. Cause us to go forth with the pure revelation of truth that’ll cause the lame to leap for joy and the blind to see both spiritually and physically.

Continue to seal Your promises in our heart by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Help us to hold fast to the confession of our faith without wavering, for You, the One who has promised, is faithful to bring it to pass. Strengthen us in our inner man as we feed on Your Word and solidify our complete trust in You.

Thank You Lord! We know You are faithful. Even as we see evil plans unfolding, we know You are in control and we bow before You trusting You.

Perfect Plan For You

(Romans 12:2 Amp.)

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

We thank You Lord, that You have a plan for each of our lives! We join in prayer, Lord, with GPAN:

We will reach the lost and bring in those souls, Father

Thank You for supernatural change in the church of the living God

Each and every believer has been called to be an ambassador of Christ

Calling for advancement in the name of Jesus

We cast off those old garments that would hinder and limit; You will clothe us with Your majesty and with Your righteousness

Thank You for those time-released anointings, that they would be released in these last days

We declare~ We will be doers of the Word and not hearers only!

Get your feet out of concrete and get moving and get going

Hallelujah, to the Lamb of God who says,

“Don’t wait for another day when you hear My voice—get up and obey!”

Calling for a change in the media, change in the media!

They will change and conform to the plan of God,

to the will of God and to the Word of God

Every evil way is being rooted out of the media and every form of the media

Calling for godly men and women to arise to a greater degree and a greater level

Grant unto them utterance of and by Your Spirit, O God

That they would speak clearly the truth in Jesus’ name!

We pray for greater accountability for the media outlets

No, they will no longer speak what they feel, but they would speak the truth Let the people rise up and hold them accountable, Father

We will no longer tolerate or listen to that which is not born of You

Thank You for discernment in the body of Christ,

that they would be able to discern that which is right, Lord

Father, we will stand with You and Your Word of truth. We lift our President and Vice President and the governments up to You calling for Your hand of protection to be over them all.

Thank You for bringing us strong honorable men to lead our government; we ask You to be with them, guide them, and dispense wisdom to them.

We ask You to disassemble the shadow government that is disrupting our nation with lies and deceptions. Block the enemy, Lord, their plans and their wicked machinations. You have indeed successfully handled this same dragon in the past, and we know You will do it again.

We are full of joy knowing that You are our God, our leader, our Savior. We praise You and worship You!

Only By Prayer

We are so blessed to live in this country. Lord You have placed Your hand over it. We began to slide on a slippery slope of evil for awhile; but you have now given us a President who wants our country to return to the righteousness You originally created it to be. He is working hard to do that, but the enemy began to set up and has created it's plan to undermine and attempt to thwart everything our President is trying to do. They control the media and even create fake news to come against President Trump. They will do anything to beat him down. But Father, You are God of this universe, and You are God Creator of this world, and You established this nation for Yourself.

The enemy has a goal to defeat Your good man and drown him under attacks; but there are many in our country who have come to respect him deeply for not caving in to the attempts against him.

What the liberals are doing is treasonous, especially as the enemies of America are creating more warlike schemes to become top dog in the world. North Korea is trying to get to the point of threatening us with nuclear bombs, and China is supporting them; Russia is not trying to stop them. From the Middle East comes ISIS and Muslim Jihadist spreading out to become a destroying power to all who do not choose to be Muslims.

It could be downright depressing Lord~ IF ~ we did not know, love, trust and rely on You. If we trust You and pray for our nation we know You will stand with us:

2 Chronicles 7:14

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,

then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

My friends, we live in dangerous times right now, but you and I were all chosen to live out our lives in this time and space. That indicates that we have a mission, and it is our goal to discover what God would have each of us do. If you do not know yours, seek God’s face. He loves us dearly and will help you. He promises us in His Word:

Isaiah 41:10 NIV

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

My friends let us join together in prayer for our nations asking God’s divine help to fight the enemy and then we will be victorious in our battle!

Blog Is Healed, and Me Too

Hello my friends! I've had technical problems with my blog, but hopefully they are now cleared up and we can get back on our track of 2/week.

During this time I have also had hip surgery, so my life has been in the healing mode~ hopefully my body and program are recovering quickly!

One of the lessons that opened my eyes during this season of frustration~ don't allow multiple attacks of the enemy to weaken my will or to put blockages in the way of progress. My solution has been to find encouragement in His Word and turn the whole situation over to God and trust Him to create the best outcome.

Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Guess what? It works. Frustration seeped away. My focus stayed on track. Cast Up A Highway continues to build faith and joy. Healing progresses.

Hope the God's Words of hope and love will help bring a soothing balm of warmth and restoration to your souls too.

God Can Do It!

Yesterday I learned Steve McQueen had become a Christian later in his life. This star who excited many hearts a few decades ago died from cancer with Billy Graham’s Bible clutched in his hands. Steve’s childhood was tragic; his mother was a raging alcoholic, and he grew up with 'fathers' abuse rather than love (except for a heavenly Father he didn’t know back then, but who watched over him), yet he became a famous movie icon!

From early on, motorcycles and fast cars delighted his heart! He had such a spirit in him, and You saw it, Lord, and grew it to fill his life. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. At his death, the "King of Kool" said his one regret was that he could not share with others what a tremendous grace it was to have Jesus in his life.

God brought Steve through all the abuse he suffered. The enemy preys on children, but we need to be determined to do all we can to protect our kids and grandkids. It is God who looks over them, and so I call upon His protection by declaring a prayer quote from Bro Hagin: a confession of faith:

My children, my grandchildren are growing up in the nurture and instruction and the protection in the care of the Most High. Everyone of them will live free. Everyone will serve God. Everyone will be faithful in the things of God. Our children are faithful to God. They’ve been raised up and they shall fulfill what they’ve been called to fulfill.

Steve McQueen was abused as a child, but he was “saved” by a kindly uncle who loved him. Love is so powerful! Steve returned to his uncle's farm several times as a child. When his mother came to claim him after each remarriage, he was in and out of trouble until he decided to reform. He became a marine and learned discipline managing to successfully overcome at least some of his rebellious traits of the time.

I cannot imagine deliberately abusing a child. How someone can intentionally cause hurt to any age kid is beyond my understanding. The cruelty is so demonic, and the affects of childhood abuse can be devastating. It travels in victim's souls all through their lives. Usually the pain and hurt is buried deep, and it seeps out at different times. At some point, if it is not healed, it will erupt causing drastic changes in behavior; it can promote addictions to drugs, alcohol or dangerous hobbies. Anger comes from hurt, and that old pain will boil out as anger; but God’s grace can heal it.

Remember that smile and charm of the irresistible man of action? A good looking man was Steve McQueen. Later in his life, Jesus was able to remove the negative effects of his challenging youth, replacing fear and anger with His love. Do you live with the effects of abuse? Jesus can heal you too!

Heart For the Children

Posted on June 21, 2017 at 7:00 AM Comments comments (2)

I felt a heaviness in my quiet time this morning. It seemed as though God was telling me about His care and concern for the kids today. His heart was on the young ones, the preteens and teens. Indeed it is the time in our maturing process which is most difficult. All the hormones are changing, physical bodies are developing, attractions to the opposite sex is growing with it. Challenges in school are increasing, and moral values are not taught. These years are hard.

If a child has had a loving home with Mom and Dad both caring for and supporting them during younger years and that is continuing, they are fortunate and their path is easier. Unfortunately, the “Leave it to Beaver” age is rarely found these days. The enemy has been busy during the last decade attacking families and getting at the kids. Suicide rates are increasing. There is a girl being prosecuted for encouraging a boy friend to kill himself; he is dead.

it is time for the enemy to be shut out, for churches to be speaking truth, not tickling ears with what some want to hear. Kids these days can see through and are tired of ‘fake’ teaching. They want a truth to hang on to, and God has that. We as adults must bow before our God in humility to seek His heart.

As parents we can influence our children, but it must be with the ‘real’ and truth, and with enduring love through everything that nothing can change; no behavior can stop it. Youth must know that they are loved, worthy of love, just because of who they are. Parents who show this kind of love to their children will be the strength and foundational support for them.

Our Father God has that kind of love for all of us. Jesus came and suffered and died for us, not because we were worthy of it, but because we are God’s kids. He loves us just as we are, and He wants us to accept the gift that Jesus brought: salvation, so we can spend eternity with Him. That’s not all, He wants to live our earthly life with us, empowering us, guiding us, enjoying it with us. When kids get this, they will have supernatural help to march through these hard years as well as the rest of their lives.

How can I explain the wonder of a divine connection? Look at Hubble pictures of space; they are amazing and beautiful. This is just our universe, and many more exist. The huge grandness of this God creation is so far above us, we barely understand it. Our minds seek to grab onto it and ‘know’ it. So boundless it is!

Think of the Creator God and how vast He also must be! This immeasurable God is the divine Creator who brought us forth and Whose love for each one of us is individual and infinite. To truly have this planted in our soul brings peace, joy, confidence, and strength. My friends, let us shout out this true reality of life with God!

A recent reminder of God's power and love blessed me, and I'm sure it will bless you as well It was a quote from a prophecy given by Brother Hagin back in October of 1970, so be blessed my friends~

Walk not in your own strength nor be strong in your own power, for the strength of man is as nothing, and the power of man is even as the grass that withers and falls away. But be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His power for the Lord is the Almighty One.

Yea, He is the one that brought into being out of nothing, the earth on which you stand. He is the one that brought into being out of nothing the sun, and the moon, and the stars. Yea, He is the one that delivered His people from the hand of Pharaoh. He is the one that divided the Red Sea.

Yea, He is the Mighty One.

Be strong in Him and in the power of His might, so He’ll rise up in thee and show forth Himself mighty to work on your behalf. Yea, ye shall find that there shall be strength within you that you never knew you had.

Ye shall find that there shall be wisdom on the inside that shall rise up out of your inner most being and pervade your mind until

you’ll know the right course to take and the correct steps to make the right decision. And ye shall be guided in all the affairs of life.

For the Lord is thy guide. And He is thy portion forevermore. So bring your thinking into captivity. Every thought and let your mind be stayed on Him. And in the midst of stress and in the midst of strife when all the world around about runneth rife, ye shall live in the God life. Yea, ye shall rise up in the strength of the Lord and speak the Word of Faith, and it shall come to pass.

Ye shall even speak unto the heavenly messengers, even the angels and say, “Go ministering spirits.” And they shall go and minister on your behalf. For power and authority is given unto the individual member of the body of Christ. For what belongs to the whole body belongs to the least member of that body.

Take your place, stand your ground, and accept the challenge. Do not wait for Satan to come and challenge you. Go out to challenge him and put him on the run. For remember that it is written and this is not just a pun. But it is the holy sacred Word of the heavenly writ. Resist the Devil and he from you will flee, that is run from you as one in terror. So be not terrified, nor afraid. But put the enemy on the run. And ye shall be victorious, everyone.

It's a Choice of Perspective

Posted on May 25, 2017 at 11:30 AM Comments comments (3)

Life can fly up in your face and spit in your eye. It can scalp your finances down to nothing. Life stress can eat your insides like worms. It can be a bloody picture from a monster show, a heart stopping series of scenes. . . but‘can be’s’ are not reality.

Only we can make them reality. Our thoughts and beliefs can turn a situation into a plague. How does your mind work? Is it negative focused? Did you know by changing your perspective you can change your whole life? My friends, the best way to change a perspective is to find the ultimate answer. There is no more ultimate than God!

“Oh, I’ve tried that and it does not work” they say. Well, as Yoda from Star Wars said “there is no try, there is only do”. ‘Do’ implies commitment. So you don’t try God, you commit yourself to Him. This enables a relationship to form which can carry you up out of a pit. A relationship can also allow you and I to experience how much God loves us; He doesn’t promise a storm free life, but He will walk through every storm with us, helping us, bringing strength, and support where needed. He brings joy and assurance that our life is worthwhile, and we can discover the purpose for which we were created.

My friends, I heard a piece of advice I thought was good: "if you are walking through a hellish time right now, just keep walking." Now we know that we are not alone when we know Jesus. His peace and rest can fill us no matter how crashing the thunder, nor sizzling the lightning. Trust in Jesus. He can turn our life into a new grace filled direction. He is faithful!

A Lion Or A . . .

Posted on May 19, 2017 at 5:55 AM Comments comments (4)

Recently I’ve puzzled with the question: Who am I? Who do I see me as? I really like that picture of a kitten looking in the mirror and the refection shows a lion. So when I look~ What do I see? Sometimes my reflection shows a self confident woman ready to go out and face the world, the flesh, and the devil. [I can even conquer chocolate.] Other days the eyes see a blurry vision of despondency; no joy here. So what makes the difference?

I am discovering that tiredness~ insufficient sleep, poor diet~ eating sugar and fried food [French fries]. . . leaves me feeling soggy the next day. I am just realizing this trap of the enemy~ it is true. I’m addicted to chocolate. I’m captured by potato chips [you can’t eat just one], and can crave french fries. I don’t fall as a slave to all at once, but they do have a captivating allure when I don’t pay attention to what I’m doing, or am feeling down.

We just returned from a road trip which meant constantly eating out plus having salty and sweet treats in the car. Our relatives usually chose the restaurant we were to eat in. So I chose the things I can eat with my dairy free/gluten free consumption. My choices were not always wise~ plenty of French fries.

Later one day I told my husband we needed to start our walking regimen again when we got home, as I was gaining weight. He said, “I’m not surprised with all you’ve been eating.” Eyes popped open as he spoke the message I’m sure God meant for my ears.

Home now and determined to eat much better. This blog is not suppose to be about diet, but I guess eating right is a message from the Lord, as He created our bodies to be healthy if we treat them right. He has taken the addictive desire for chocolate and fried salty foods away from me, and I’m already seeing that strong gleam returning to my eyes.

Strong, yes, it is a strength within that builds and causes me to see the lion as my reflection in the mirror. After all, I have the God-head indwelling me. His might fills me when I obey Him (and this taking care of the body is necessary).

Philippians 4:13 (AMP)

I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency;

I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]

Obedience and relationship are the keys. All God’s promises have routes we must follow to receive them; here in this Scripture we have strength to “do all things He has called us to do”. My close relationship with our Lord reveals to me what He is calling me to do. This connection empowers us to do “anything” through Him who infuses us with that inner strength and peace. Yes, He gives us peace when we trust Him to fulfill His promises. He imparts His force into us enabling each of us to do all He asks.

When my will is bent to His will, and my desire is to obey His will, I have full confidence that what He wants me to do will turn out well in all areas. So with His power working in me I have peace that I will accomplish His will and all will indeed be good.

My friends, do you see the lion in the mirror? Then roar! Feel His love and forcefulness working within; no challenge is insurmountable; obey with joy! If you have not yet begun to know His love, what do you need to change? It is worth the effort!

Hail/Heart Wounds

At first I heard noises like someone was upstairs. That was a little freaky. Then the noises came steadily pounding harder and harder. Oh no, I thought, it’s hail! I ran to the patio doors and watched these larger than marble size white balls blowing and bouncing off the roof and the walls. It was truly ferocious, and I was so happy our cars were in the garage, and that I was under a good roof. Farther north the hail was more golf ball size, and they did a lot of damage to any cars unlucky enough to be exposed! [The storm also created havoc in many businesses; a whole mall will be closed for months for repairs.]

As I watched in fascination the bedlam of criss

crossing balls zinging around our patio, I began thinking of the motorcyclists we saw on the road yesterday. Just picture being out in that~ could be a deadly assault either walking or riding exposed on a vehicle.

Life can be like that too, you know? All is cruising along smoothly when suddenly a phone call of hail stones arrives, or an accident hits; where is there to go with the fear or the pain? To some it’s just you and the 'hail'. However, one thing I have learnedd in my Christian walk with Jesus, is that not only am I never alone, but He is there with all the tools to repair the damage to the body or the heart. Our God loves us so much, and He is always ready to heal our wounds when we go to Him in faith and love.

Proverbs 18:10 (AMP)

The name of the Lord is a strong tower;

The righteous runs to it and is safe and set on high [far above evil].

He is a strong tower offering us shelter from any situation or enemy. Yes, enemy~ example: satan deceived Adam, causing him to lose paradise. Our ancient enemy is still looking for ways to take us out, or cause our minds to doubt God; it is a ruthless foe! But we have a powerful God!!

My friends, keep His faithfulness tattooed on your heart. It will carry you through any storm. Know Him. Trust Him!

Heart Prayer

Posted on March 17, 2017 at 6:35 AM Comments comments (733)

A simple but powerful prayer of my friend Sharon:

Grant to me

the gift of hope

the gift of love

the gift of joy

the gift of unity with Your heart

Grant to me

my desire of humility

and the rich understanding of

the unworthiness of my soul

Let me see

the darkness of my soul is to be made

Radiant in unity with

the Father, the Son, the Spirit . . .One

Help me Lord to see my own unrighteousness. I am no better than any out there with hostile words of hate. I don’t live in some ivory tower; I know that I am imperfect, but Lord I bow before You asking for forgiveness for any arrogance I may have in my heart. Show me Your will and Your ways.

Grant to me the gift of hope, of true agape love, of Your joy Jesus, and unity with Your heart. Let me love what You love and hate what You hate. Bring my brothers and sisters under Your covering of hope and love shedding peace abroad into all hearts. You, my God, are mightier than the destroyer ever thought of being; You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the land and the seas. In You is all goodness and faithfulness!

Lord God I know all this disharmony among Your children is hard for You to see; You are love. Demonstrate Your agape love to Your children, Lord. Send Your legions to clear out our cities, our states, our nation, and our world from the enemy and its demons of hate and destruction. I remind You Lord that this is Your nation, established with Your blessing to honor You and have You as its foundation. Return it to the original precepts on which it became a nation. Thank You Lord, my God.

My friends, nothing and no one is mightier than our God. The devil thinks he is; he got evicted from heaven for rebelling against God trying to be mightier than Him. So satan came to earth to finagle Adam into giving him rule over the earth~ until Jesus came and took back the keys from him. Now the devil is a toothless dragon defeated by Jesus. My friends, do not allow the enemy to cause fear in your heart. Rather focus on Jesus and call on the Son of God to help you conquer any situation and be at peace.

We humble ourselves and bow before God worshipping Him as our Lord Almighty. Let Him teach us and rescue us from the chains of the enemy’s hatred. Submit ourselves to the love of God, our Father, Creator whose love is bigger and deeper than we can imagine. I don’t know why, but He does treasure us as His beloved children. Let us love each other in obedience to His commands with thankfulness and humbleness of heart.

End of 'Death-as-an-End'

I invited a young friend over for coffee one day. We began to chat. She had been contemplating getting baptized. So, she said, “Why should I get baptized?” I could not think of a better teacher than Jesus; so I let Him speak:

Romans 6:5-14 (MSG)

3-5 That’s what baptism into the life of Jesus means. When we are lowered into the water, it is like the burial of Jesus; when we are raised up out of the water, it is like the resurrection of Jesus. Each of us is raised into a light-filled world by our Father so that we can see where we’re going in our new grace-sovereign country.

Could it be any clearer? Our old way of life was nailed to the cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life—no longer at sin’s every beck and call!

What we believe is this: If we get included in Christ’s sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word.

When Jesus died, he took sin down with him, but alive he brings God down to us. From now on, think of it this way: Sin speaks a dead language that means nothing to you; God speaks your mother tongue, and you hang on every word. You are dead to sin and alive to God. That’s what Jesus did.

Nicodemus seemed not to understand the concept of “born again”, So Jesus went on~

5-6 Jesus said, “You’re not listening. Let me say it again. Unless a person submits to this original creation—the ‘wind-hovering-over-the-water’ creation, the invisible moving the visible, a baptism into a new life—it’s not possible to enter God’s kingdom. When you look at a baby, it’s just that: a body you can look at and touch. But the person who takes shape within is formed by something you can’t see and touch—the Spirit—and becomes a living spirit.

I explained that it is the spirit that needs to be born again into God’s life. The real us is spirit, soul, and body; we are comprised of all three. We are a spirit having a soul (mind, will, and emotions), and living in a body. The soul and body feed information to the spirit and it determines who we truly are. We are creatures of the world or creatures born of God. This last is our original design. When we first enter this world, we are creatures of the world; but then when we choose Jesus, we are born again as Children of God with His DNA~ He is our true creator FATHER, and with His spirit in us, our perception of life becomes totally new. Our eyes into truth are opened.

We are made anew, a joyful experience! Relationship with God becomes real and satisfying. When accepting Jesus gift of dying for us to delete our sin nature, our opportunities to build an authentic personal one-on-one connection with God are immense. Nothing is more satisfying than communicating with God, feeling His personal love for us. Any challenge that satan uses to come against us can be put in God’s powerful hands and He will take care of it for us.

Crystal Beauty

Posted on February 10, 2017 at 7:40 AM Comments comments (15)

Wow! Walked out into a fairyland of crystal coated earth this morning! God is such a wonderful designer! Trees frosted white. Even the grass had its winter coating. It felt life a wonderland as I drove to my appointment. God's presence brought His peace inside my car. Love it when He does this! My whole day blossoms in joy.

As you know, some days are just days with same ole same ole activities. Other days carry surprises that can be good or disappointing. In the ‘same ole’ days I thank God for His many blessings. When disappointing surprises pop up, I thank God for His many blessings. When good surprises smile in my day, I thank God for His many blessings. Sounds pretty good, aye? It would be if I could truly be that way.

That is my ideal goal; however, I have a long way to go to live up to it. I don't think I’m the only one who has a hard time focusing on my Lord when one day follows another with same tasks, same kid behaviors to deal with, same laundry to get done. . . I have my quiet time in the morning which is good, but I want to stay heart connected all day long, like a child whose whole heart loves God.

Of course good surprises are nice, and blessings that keep me thankful. So I have learned to EXPECT thankful things to happen.

But then, there are days I encounter the negatives that jump out at me and knock me down, I get up and call on my Lord. This occurrence can arrange my focus to remain on Him, for when the enemy screams all the bad things in my mind, Jesus name alone will force it to be stilled. I put the crushing blows in God’s hands and He is always faithful to handle it for me. Our communication link stays “on”.

OK, yesterday a negative surprise hit my mind and heart. “Jesus”, I cry, “please help me”. I will not allow it to take my mind down that slippery slope of darkness! I will expect You to fix this situation, totally. His answer began last night as I opened a letter from Joyce Meyer, and it starts out:

“You are in a battle! A war is raging all around you! A battle for your health. An assault on your emotions. A fight for your children and grand children, or a difficult issue in any area of your life.

To you it might just seem like luck or bad circumstances. But you need to know, more often than not, it is more than that. It’s a war being waged by your greatest adversary. And he wants nothing less than your total defeat.

But even though war rages, there is no need to fear.

You are saved, redeemed, empowered, and protected; you're strengthened by the Holy Spirit and able to walk in victory, because Jesus has already won the battle. God’s Word promises you

. . . Isaiah 54:17 . . . no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper. . .

That means no matter how bad the news, how difficult the situation, how discouraging the betrayal, or how unexpected the obstacle, as you stand on His Word, and believe His promises for you, you will not be defeated!

You can live your life with confidence knowing that the battle~the real one~belongs to the Lord:

2 Chronicles 20:15.

12 . . .we are powerless against this great multitude which is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”

13 So all Judah stood before the Lord, with their infants, their wives, and their children

14 Then in the midst of the assembly the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph. 15 He said, “Listen carefully, all [you people of] Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and King Jehoshaphat. The Lord says this to you: ‘Be not afraid or dismayed at this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

That's why Isaiah 54 goes on to say:

. . . this [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition,] is the heritage of the Lord. . .

[end quote The letter continues with more uplifting words.]

Now I am encouraged, because God always answers my prayers. He reminds me of His promises, and I know His faithfulness. He will bring good out of this situation.

Romans 8:28 (AMP)

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us]

causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God,

to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.

My friends, if you are going through a battle right now, remember your adversary is the devil. Yes, he is putting everything he has into stealing and trying to destroy God’s kids. Do not allow anything to give him victory. Any negative in your life needs to be put into God’s hands. Trust Him with it remembering He loves you and wants only the best for you. Stand on His promises and He will bring all things to good.

Though my day began with a lovely surprise: God decorated the earth in crystal beauty just for me (LOL), the day did turn into a challenge. Our Father is a good Dad who loves you and me. He began answering my prayers last evening, and I know that I know He will take care of the whole situation for me. He will do the same for you!

God in a Box

Posted on February 8, 2017 at 5:05 PM Comments comments (175)

Yesterday: Lord, I am feeling numb, help me to remember who loves me. You are my Father and hold me as a precious daughter. Jesus, You suffered terrible pain for me, that I might spend eternity with You. Holy Spirit, You spoke to me telling me that You love me. You also indwell me. So why am I just wandering around without joy in my heart? The enemy is after us big time, and I need your extra strength to keep my focus on You! I love You; I need You. You are my tower of strength, my shield of faith. I belong to You, so I know You take care of me.

Last night: Toss and turn. Scratch the itch. Bend the knees. Turn over. That was the physical body. But the mind was the biggest deterrent to sleep; felt like a game of “keep away” with the ball being tossed here and then there, and soon as a thought came, I caught it, but away the thought would fly. I know the night is when the devil loves to bring bad thoughts to mind, and last night he was true to form. It got to the point where I threw myself down weeping before God’s throne, feeling beaten, alone and helpless.

Then I asked my Holy Spirit for help. He is so faithful. He brought me one thought, a Scripture verse: “Why so downcast, O my soul?” It brought me back in line. I didn't recall the whole Scripture, but I knew David wrote the line and then thought about the greatness of God. I looked it up this morning:

Psalm 42:5-8 (NIV)

Why, my soul, are you downcast?

Why so disturbed within me?

Put your hope in God,

for I will yet praise him,

my Savior and my God.

6 My soul is downcast within me;

therefore I will remember you

from the land of the Jordan,

the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.

7 Deep calls to deep

in the roar of your waterfalls;

all your waves and breakers

have swept over me.

8 By day the Lord directs his love,

at night his song is with me—

a prayer to the God of my life.

That verse grabbed my mind to truth~ why am I downcast? Holy Spirit showed me that I had put God in 3 little boxes. Ha! Don’t we do that? Don’t we sometimes put God in a little box? Some people think that God should live by their ideas and ideals, and if He doesn’t then "I won’t believe. . ."

Well I wasn’t that far out of line, but I had boxed up God as too small to handle my problems. No wonder I felt alone and helpless. If I only depend on me, That’s weak! So I went and opened the 1st box~ Holy Spirit. Soon as it was open, “Whoosh” out flew Holy Spirit filling the room and the earth and the universe, and finally me. Yes I felt His love filling me up settling a little satisfied smile on my face. I was back.

Then I moved over to box #2, and as I got the top barely beginning to open, up sprang Jesus, standing tall as a mountain. He began bending over and picking up little somethings and tossing them to His angels. Then I saw they were small demons, Jesus would pick them up and the angels would cart them away. He picked from individuals, families, churches, other groups, and finally over governments. (These government demons were bigger and darker.) What I noticed was that when the devils were cleared out, Jesus light filled the spaces. One of my “negative toss and turn thoughts” was there and as Jesus removed the demons, Christ light filled that home. Peace.

The third box just disappeared; it was simply no longer there; but Father God was everywhere working all over the world. He was activating His plan in each individual and each country. My God is so huge and mighty, and I have Him indwelling me. I am not small and alone! I have Him with me all the time! His Presence, power and protection is always with me. Nothing is impossible for God, and that is true with His plans for me too, for my God lives in me.

Friends, if you have put God in a little box, Ask Holy Spirit to help you open it up and release the mighty power that is yours, because God is for you, not against you. His love is a strength that stands with you always. Do not fear, He has given you a spirit of power, might and love. Feel His love for you, and thank Him for His awesome blessings!

And get Him out of that box!!

Save Our Nation

Isaiah 1:6

From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness or health in [the nation’s body]

—but wounds and bruises and fresh and bleeding stripes; they have not been pressed out and closed up or bound up or softened with oil.

[No one has troubled to seek a remedy.]

This morning I came across this Scripture and it rang a bell. It sounds like our nation. We are in a spiritual battle; we are a wounded people. The enemy wants us to become a defeated nation, and it is stirring up strife wherever it can. Our country is bleeding and bruised; people are being led to look at every negative they can find or make up, and encouraged to rebel.

We have a duly elected President, and he is our rightful President and those who rebel against him are doing the work of the enemy to split our nation and destroy it. They refuse to work together with him to begin his presidency and give him the rights that the conservatives gave to Obama despite their total disagreement with his liberal policies and methods. Conservatives did not march against Obama, and the media certainly would not cover it if they did. Now the liberal media are working with the Democrats attempting to stir up strife and break our country apart.

Liberals are unhappy with HRC’s defeat, so they are attempting to wreck President Trump’s way of bringing our country back to its original aims as written in our Constitution, which, by the way, made us a mighty nation. I remember as a child that it was said by our enemies that this nation could be conquered only from within. That is what is happening now. Is that what we really want?

Allow our President to do the job we elected him to do. Stop trying to turn national security into religious oppression; our country is much too vulnerable now! It was the people’s total disagreement with Obama’s and the Dem’s policies that made it possible for President Trump to be elected. If after 4 years we don’t like it, we can elect another. That has been the ways and strength of our nation. It has lasted over 2 centuries and grown strong. Rebellion within will destroy us. God has blessed our country and been our strength. We can pray to Him to help us; or we can reject Him and die as a nation. It is our choice.

I for one refuse to die without a fight. Our nation has been envied throughout the world. Many would be happy to see us conquered. We will suffer if that happens. But I trust in Almighty God. He enabled President Trump to be elected. This is His nation and I do not believe He will abandon us~ but we must live as an obedient people. We have a chance to look at our culture and change the ungodly ways it was heading.

You may disagree saying murdering babies is ok if the mom doesn’t want them, or removing God from our schools and communities is just constitutionally correct. You are wrong! There is nothing in our constitution that says anything about separation of church and state. That came from a letter that was saying we cannot allow government to restrict our ways of honoring and worshipping God. That’s why people settled here to begin with. England was forcing people to worship their ways only. Our forefathers did not want that to happen here, but that has been the goal of some in our government.

Thus our bruised and battered nation will go unhealed if we do not settle down and work together for ourselves under a rightfully elected president. Come, my friends, let us bow our heads together before God and pray for our leaders and our country’s unity. Let us command our media to cease and desist its attempts to keep the strife going. Who are the owners of our TV stations, our newspapers? They are using media for propaganda; the Dems want their way. We don’t.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (AMP)

and if My people, who are called by My Name, humble themselves, and pray and seek (crave, require as a necessity) My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear [them] from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land.

15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer offered in this place. 16 For now I have chosen and sanctified and set apart for My purpose this house that My Name may be here forever, and My eyes and My heart will be here perpetually.

This is God's land. His people settled this country to be free to worship Him. Our Christian religious freedoms have been under heavy attack. Godly change is required.

An Organic Relationship

Posted on February 1, 2017 at 6:20 AM Comments comments (2)

Good morning Holy Spirit! Praise be to You!

Again this morning I am greeted with soft pink clouds. They almost seemed to be saying~ Spring is coming! But I know that cold winter weather is working up some more snow and chillin! And that’s ok, because it’s the story of life. There is a demon trying to blast all the King’s kids off of His highroad. But Jesus, the Son of God, has us securely by the hand with no intent of letting go.

Jesus Loves us dearly, and He is the Good Shepherd. We are the sheep of His pasture. Jesus loves us and cares for us and John 10 puts the meaning so clearly:

John 10: 1-6 (NIV)

“Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. 2 The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. Only Jesus can be our true shepherd.

3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him, because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” 6 Jesus used this figure of speech, but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them.

We hear the voice of our true Shepherd and follow Him. Our obedience brings rewards, for Jesus always leads us down the best path for us to travel walking it with us. We can depend on Him and trust Him. A BFS Bible study gives a great description of our relationship as “organic, authentic, and eternal like the connection between the Son and the Father”.

He calls us by name; we belong to Him. Another Bible verse that tells us this is

Isaiah 43:1

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you [from captivity];

I have called you by name; you are Mine!

This is so deep; take it in~ Our relationship with God is personal! He ‘knows’ our name meaning He knows each of us completely~ all our thoughts, our strengths and weaknesses; He knows the anxieties we have, even those that came from our ‘raising up years’. He calls us by name! His love is constant, deep and abiding.

9 [Jesus says]“I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

11 “I am the Good Shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13 The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.

In the summer the sheep pens have stone walls and an opening~ no gate. The Shepherd himself sleeps across the opening and becomes the gate. Jesus is our Gate; He is our guard and protection through the dark times as well as through our sunshiny days. He is our only Gate into God’s Kingdom.

14 “I am the Good Shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd.

Jesus is our Shepherd who takes care of us, leads us to pasture for food and rest; He protects us from the devil wolf who seeks to steal us away, kill, and destroy us. Jesus is our true Shepherd who laid down His life for us; His crucifixion paid our penalty, and we gained His righteousness. Our Shepherd gives us, His sheep, a peace that permeates our life when we hear His voice and follow Him; He gives us security:

John 10:28 NIV

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish;

no one will snatch them out of my hand.

Somedays, Just Gotta Praise!

Clean the counters; put the coffee on; wash my hands; look out the window. Smile. My busyness ceased for a few, as I beheld the sky full of lovely pink tinted clouds. A smile immediately burst upon my face. “O God, You are so good! Thank You for this gift!” We have so much to be thankful for, little things and big things.

Yes, good morning, my Lord. There is none like YOU. When I looked out my window this morning, and saw those pink tinted clouds saying “I bless your day, Mary!” My heart sang, “You are almighty God, Creator of the universe. You are the Alpha and the Omega! You have set the stars in place and named them all. You ordained beauty in our skies and on our earth. There is none greater than You! And You love me?”

Lord not only did You give us Jesus to teach us and die for us, You then sent Holy Spirit to indwell us, and from that close position, teach us, guide us, and protect us. We are Your kids and You love us so much! Because You love us we can trust You; You even wrote us a book, and in it You promised us many things, and You are always true to Your Word! Oh my God! Thank You!

As the years fly by, it becomes more work to remain healthy. The activities of youth have used up some of the body stamina and joint usage. Yes, pain has become a part of life, but it’s ok. I can deal with it, and it is not constant. It just reminds me to be thankful for the wonderful physical condition God designed for me. When nasty C attacked my body, You, Jesus, were right there walking every step of the way with me, bringing me to victory; and You brought out of me a book telling the world how one can go through hard times with joy in their hearts. [Cast Up A Highway]

Loving Father, this morning I want to thank You for mercy and grace. I am so imperfect, but You love me anyway! You continue to work with me, molding me, shaping me into the person You created me to be. Help me fulfill the potential You put in me. Give me words to convict, to open eyes to see. Let Your love flow through me to everyone I come in contact with; pour Your Words through me to hearts today as I work; guide me Holy Spirit today and everyday.

Psalm 103:1 (NLV)

Praise for God’s Love

Praise the Lord, O my soul. And all that is within me, praise His holy name.

My God, You love us all so much! We are Your beloved children, and You care for us each moment of the day (when we let You). I trust You. I love You. I praise and worship You alone, my beloved Lord!

                                        AWESOME GOD

Sometimes the terrible awesomeness of God hits me and sends me reeling into deep meditation. It always carries its reward of a new closeness with my God. It happened this morning. In the beginning I was distracted with my mind wandering here and yon. Then I ‘woke up’ and commanded it to return. God is so good! Holy Spirit began to lead me in prayer.

Sorry, my Lord. I come to our meeting this morning with scattered thoughts; help me, Lord, to rein them in. That You even desire to meet with me is so amazing! Deep breath. Moses asked God, “what shall I say when they ask 'Who sent me’?” You responded, “Say the Great I AM sent me.” You, God, are not hemmed in by time. For You there is no ‘was, will be’, there is only I AM. Before You I bow down my heart, my 'who I am' I submit to You; help me become who You created me to be.

Exodus 3:13-14 (AMP)

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them? 14 And God said to Moses, I Am Who I Am and What I Am, and I Will Be What I Will Be; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you!

  • Footnotes: Exodus 3:15 To know the name of God is to witness the manifestation of those attributes and apprehend that character which the name denotes.

Can you feel the depth of that name? 'I AM' signifies so much ~ timelessness, absolute love, supreme power, unimaginable expansion ~ an incomprehensible being, totally surrounding. There simply are not words to express the grandness of Who our God is. HIS LOVE FOR US  S SO APPARENT IN HIS WORD!

Psalm 91:14 (AMP)

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

Isaiah 52:6 (AMP)

Therefore My people shall know what My name is and what it means; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks; behold, I Am!

Indeed my God! You are the great I AM! This measures so deep and so high and so wide. You revealed Your staggering magnificence to David, and it comes out here:

Psalm 139:1-10

O Lord, you have examined my heart

and know everything about me.

2 You know when I sit down or stand up.

You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.

Even when it’s my mind traveling on tangents.

3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home.

You know everything I do.

4 You know what I am going to say

even before I say it, Lord.

5 You go before me and follow me.

You place your hand of blessing on my head.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,

too great for me to understand!

7 I can never escape from your Spirit!

I can never get away from your presence!

8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;

if I go down to the grave, you are there.

9 If I ride the wings of the morning,

if I dwell by the farthest oceans,

10 even there your hand will guide me,

and your strength will support me.

You are always with me.

You will guide me.

You will always be my support. Your strength

upholds me, protects me, supports me.

Lord, You are so good! What a privilege to know You! Thank You that You continue to grow me closer to You. Thank You! I love being together with You, my Lord.
