Jesus, for every stripe the whip laid on Your back, every hole the crown of thorns and nails made in Your body, my heart bows down to You. It isn’t just words. . .  You suffered horribly for me. Because of that, my sin nature is now changed and I am able to know You, the Father, and Your Holy Spirit. I know my Father God because You, Jesus, chose to come and teach us Who He is, and made it possible for me to be cleansed of sin. I have an intimate relationship now with Father God experiencing, being overwhelmed by, and grateful for His love and care of me.

God knows My name! Wow! Of the billions of people on the earth, He knows ME. He cares about ME. He protects ME, all because He’s my Dad and He loves me specially. I am unique to Him. I am irreplaceable. My God leads me, guides me, protects me from all danger, gifts me generously, and keeps me close. Hey guys, develop a relationship with Him, and He will do the same for you. I do love You Daddy God!!

Jesus, what You did for us is so remarkable, yet many people discount it, or whitewash it, or simply refuse to understand! Because of You, I can live a worthwhile life in any degree of worldly importance, and know that to You I am especially significant. You send me as Your ambassador out into the world to teach people about You; I was translated into Your Kingdom when I became born again ~ I am a citizen there. (I’m reminded of the StarTrek series “beam me up Scottie!”.) You beamed me up from the world and into the “Kingdom of the Son of His love”.

Your Kingdom is my home now Jesus, thank You Holy Spirit; how remarkable is Your plan for us! You do not expect us to live life all alone or accomplish deeds by ourselves. Jesus sent Holy Spirt to dwell in us, to be intimately connected to us. I choose to remove my ego and have You just live Your life in me. Wow my friends! We have the Godhead indwelling us ~ Astounding!!

We can accomplish any task, because God lives in us and helps us do whatever He ask of us. I've dedicated my life Him, to serve Him as ambassador in the world; Holy Spirit only You can guide us to the people who need to hear Your Word spoken through our mouth. Only You can give us the appropriate words to speak that will seed in people’s hearts or that will water the seeds others have planted. Live Your life in us, Holy Spirit. We can  choose to dedicate ourself to You. Thank You for the precious care You take of us!

Thank You that You are our protection, shielding us against the evil one's deceits and traps. You lead us in safety through every fear, every situation, every day. Thank You!

Oneness With God

My Lord, I love what Your snow does to the earth covering it in purity. Of course, it is just a temporary cover-up. After it melts all the barrenness returns. Yet the melting snow becomes part of the cycle causing green to return, refreshing the wonderful fruitfulness of Your creation.

Your touch in my life Holy One enables me to desire that purity of soul where my life’s highest dream is to be all You created me to be. I bow down and worship You! I want my will to be only Your will, my eyes to see what Your eyes see, my ears to hear Your words, my heart to love as Your heart loves, my heart to break for what breaks Yours. Let Your tenderness fill my heart and my soul. I crave a deeper intimacy with You, my God. Knowing this, You gifted me with Holy Spirit, that I might be like Jesus one day. That is what I want. I know You want that too, because Jesus said so. Yes, Jesus, You prayed for me. You actually prayed for me personally, well sure for others too; but I am included and I thank You Jesus for Your powerful prayers for my life!):

John 17:20-23 (AMP)

20 Neither for these alone do I pray [it is not for their sake only

that I make this request], but also for all those who

will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me

through their word and teaching,

21 That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You,

that they also may be one in Us,

(Holy Spirit in me brings that oneness into reality

for He brings me into that oneness.)

so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me.

22 I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me,

that they may be one [even] as We are one:

23 I in them and You in Me,

in order that they may become one and perfectly united,

that the world may know and [definitely] recognize

that You sent Me and

that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me.

You, Holy Spirit, bring me into the oneness. I feel like I’ve been invited to a party, or like You Holy Spirit are wrapping me up as a gift to the Father. "Oh, sorry, that seems a little presumptuous", I said to Holy Spirit. Then He responded to me,

“Do not underestimate the great value, the treasure, you are to the Father”.

Oh Holy Spirit, You are so good to me and for me! Thank You! You bring God love to me in so many ways! I feel all tender inside! Not powerful right now, just filled with Your tender love.

Do you live with the tender love of the Spirit inside of you yet? If not, seek Him! You will enjoy a fuller life; a oneness with God is an awesome gift!

Imagination, Gift or Curse?

This morning I arose with a nagging cloud of disturbance hanging over my heart. Then I remembered an incident from yesterday that really caused an agitation in my spirit. And that hampered the entering this morning into my usual close presence with the Lord. Distractions bombarded; the situation kept fighting to find its solution in my imagination; this ever happen to you? It was the enemy’s way of keeping me from meeting with my Lord. So I began perusing the subject of imagination.

Imagination is a gift of God; it helps our creative nature to build beautiful ideas and bring them to life. Authors use their’s as a canvas to paint vivid word pictures. Children create friends and imaginary situations for playing together; it can take you on journeys to distant places. Artists apply paint to build pictures that tell stories with colors. We can use it as a God given tool to picture goals and focus on them, thus using our imagination to help accomplish goals. The imagination is a truly amazing gift!

Imagination can also be a tool of the enemy; he can plant darkness and negatives in it. He can use it to create fear, hate and other ugliness. Sometimes he’ll use it to distract our focus, especially from things of Almighty God. False imaginings is another weapon of the enemy which can also cause tension between people and a rift between those who care about each other; these mind pictures see situations and then the enemy infuses evil interpretations on them. I went to the Old and New Testament to see what it says about the imagination, and I found that God recognizes these things:

Genesis 8:20-22 (AMP)

And Noah . . . offered burnt offerings on the altar.

21 When the Lord smelled the pleasing odor [a scent of satisfaction to His heart], the Lord said to Himself, I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the imagination (the strong desire) of man’s heart is evil and wicked from his youth. . .

Isaiah 65:1-2 (NIV)

. . . To a nation that did not call on my name, I said, ‘Here am I, here am I.’

2 All day long I have held out my hands to an obstinate people who walk in ways not good, pursuing their own imaginations—

Ephesians 2:3-6 (Amp)

Among these we as well as you once lived and conducted ourselves in the passions of our flesh [our behavior governed by our corrupt and sensual nature], obeying the impulses of the flesh and the thoughts of the mind [our cravings dictated by our senses and our dark imaginings]. We were then by nature children of [God’s] wrath and heirs of [His] indignation, like the rest of mankind. . .

4 But God had so much loving-kindness. He loved us with such a great love. Even when we were dead because of our sins, He made us alive by what Christ did for us. . .

Knowing the imagination can cause good and evil in us, we look at our options. The closer we are to God, recognizing His immense love for us, the greater will be our ability to curve our imagination into the goodness of the gift. When our minds are transformed, we have a more substantial ability to fight the enemy’s invasion. The Word instructs us:

Romans 12:2 (AMP)

Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude] . . .

Since the imagination is part of the mind function of our being, when we renew our mind, we gain insight into controlling our imagination. For me this morning it was difficult, but I finally put the destructive “pictures” under the blood of Jesus for a cleansing and erasing, and He was, as always, faithful. I could once again move in close to God’s presence and be blessed. If you have found another way to fight the enemy distractions, please let me know.

Have a day focused on the Lord, gaining new insights and wisdom. May His light of love guide you on your way.

                                        AWESOME GOD

Sometimes the terrible awesomeness of God hits me and sends me reeling into deep meditation. It always carries its reward of a new closeness with my God. It happened this morning. In the beginning I was distracted with my mind wandering here and yon. Then I ‘woke up’ and commanded it to return. God is so good! Holy Spirit began to lead me in prayer.

Sorry, my Lord. I come to our meeting this morning with scattered thoughts; help me, Lord, to rein them in. That You even desire to meet with me is so amazing! Deep breath. Moses asked God, “what shall I say when they ask 'Who sent me’?” You responded, “Say the Great I AM sent me.” You, God, are not hemmed in by time. For You there is no ‘was, will be’, there is only I AM. Before You I bow down my heart, my 'who I am' I submit to You; help me become who You created me to be.

Exodus 3:13-14 (AMP)

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them? 14 And God said to Moses, I Am Who I Am and What I Am, and I Will Be What I Will Be; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you!

  • Footnotes: Exodus 3:15 To know the name of God is to witness the manifestation of those attributes and apprehend that character which the name denotes.

Can you feel the depth of that name? 'I AM' signifies so much ~ timelessness, absolute love, supreme power, unimaginable expansion ~ an incomprehensible being, totally surrounding. There simply are not words to express the grandness of Who our God is. HIS LOVE FOR US  S SO APPARENT IN HIS WORD!

Psalm 91:14 (AMP)

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

Isaiah 52:6 (AMP)

Therefore My people shall know what My name is and what it means; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks; behold, I Am!

Indeed my God! You are the great I AM! This measures so deep and so high and so wide. You revealed Your staggering magnificence to David, and it comes out here:

Psalm 139:1-10

O Lord, you have examined my heart

and know everything about me.

2 You know when I sit down or stand up.

You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.

Even when it’s my mind traveling on tangents.

3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home.

You know everything I do.

4 You know what I am going to say

even before I say it, Lord.

5 You go before me and follow me.

You place your hand of blessing on my head.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,

too great for me to understand!

7 I can never escape from your Spirit!

I can never get away from your presence!

8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;

if I go down to the grave, you are there.

9 If I ride the wings of the morning,

if I dwell by the farthest oceans,

10 even there your hand will guide me,

and your strength will support me.

You are always with me.

You will guide me.

You will always be my support. Your strength

upholds me, protects me, supports me.

Lord, You are so good! What a privilege to know You! Thank You that You continue to grow me closer to You. Thank You! I love being together with You, my Lord.
