BETTER OFF DEAD?

Jesus was speaking of the last days

Matthew 24:5-12 (NKJV)

5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for [a]all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, [b]pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

Love of life is already growing cold. Babies are being murdered anytime now. Some states want this to take place anytime before they are born into this world. They call it “a woman’s right to her body” But it is not just her body, it is the infant growing inside of her also has a body and the right to life. Some justify it by saying the baby is better off dead. God gave that child life, and who are we to judge an infant's right to being?

     A TRUE STORY:

I recently learned what real love is. My friend chose right out of high school to be a “care giver for the severely developmentally disabled. These are children that do not grow mentally more than a baby, need care of all bodily functions, and cannot walk or talk. How many would say, “surely they are better off dead, they have no purpose. Why should they live?”

My friend has lovingly cared for nine and cherished them until they passed on.

However there were two special twins that were her heart-children. One passed some years ago, but the other passed days ago. I’ll call her Pammie. She was with my friend 38 years. Pammie was special to my friend; she loved Pammie as a daughter ~ she was her heart-mother. Her eyes saw Pammie as her beautiful daughter, a companion, a source of joy that helped her through many difficult times. My friend told me “She was my rock!.”

Pammie could not speak and I asked how she knew she was happy? My friend’s eyes glowed as she answered me,  “Pammie smiled, her eyes sparkled, and she had her own little laugh". My friend 'admired Pammie by the way she tolerated her life'. I thought about that ~ what an awesome statement! It brought to mind a verse from Scripture~

Eph 3:21 NLT Now all glory to God, Who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.”

This verse was not conditional, did not say, “if you had a certain IQ, or physical ability, or a job, or a becoming appearance…”, no, it says “ Who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. God was at work within Pammie: He helped Pammie to fulfill her purpose in life for my friend and that of her family.

Pammie had very little vision due to cataracts, but her hearing was good. She knew when my friend was there and if she would stumble or drop something, Pammie would laugh. Sometimes they would watch TV together. It seems Pammie loved Star Wars and they watched many episodes. My friend and Pammie were bonded. My friend said, “She was such a wonderful person.”

Yes, she was a lovely kindred spirit come to bless my friends’s life.

At her passing, many of all ages spoke with tears about fun times together and life lessons learned thru Pammie’s life. My friend will miss her terribly!

Jesus promises us gifts through life, and Pammie was my friends gift!

This is true love as Jesus designed it.

John 13:4-10 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”

7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”

8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.”

Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”

9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!”

10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” 12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s. (Jesus was doing a servants job.)

 Then in Luke 10:29-35 (MSG)

29 Looking for a loophole, he asked, “And just how would you define ‘neighbor’?”

30-32 Jesus answered by telling a story. “There was once a man traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho. On the way he was attacked by robbers. They took his clothes, beat him up, and went off leaving him half-dead. Luckily, a priest was on his way down the same road, but when he saw him he angled across to the other side. Then a Levite religious man showed up; he also avoided the injured man.

33-35 “A Samaritan traveling the road came on him. This man did not see anything except a hurting human being, and immediately began helping him. When he saw the man’s condition, his heart went out to him. He gave him first aid, disinfecting and bandaging his wounds. Then he lifted him onto his donkey, led him to an inn, and made him comfortable. In the morning he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take good care of him. If it costs any more, put it on my bill—I’ll pay you on my way back.’

These two Scriptures were 2 of Jesus messages about love.

My friend’s life is about love.

Question: How do i fit in?

Thunder Crashes!

Standing on this cliff above the ocean as a storm rolls in. First, I see the sky darken as black roiling clouds approach, and the wind begins tearing at the trees, and it ripping at my hair and clothes. A bolt of light breaks the darkness and thunder crashes as the atmosphere slams back together again. Huge drops of rain soak me in seconds. Regal ocean becomes huge waves slamming against the cliff reaching up to grab me. Again lighting bolts crack the darkness and thunder explodes in surround sound. Ship at sea becomes a child's toy. I exult in the power of my God!

There is no one like You Lord! You created everything and You alone can play the tunes that You gave to Earth's nature. Exhibit power? Yes? Bring calm? Yes. Create restfulness? Yes. Thrill our eyes with beauty? Yes. There is none like You indeed!

When I see/ hear of those that refuse to know of Your existence, I am greatly saddened for them. They miss out on so much! The wonder of who You are excites me, for I see all the potential I can experience. Living in Your Presence is such a pleasure, a true aid in life. My God, how I do love You!

I stand here alone, yet not alone, for You my Holy Spirit are with me. You inspire me. I can count on You to light my path. You show me the steps to take, the choices to make. With You as my Guide I know life will always bring exhileration and success. No matter the storms that are ahead, I know You will bring me through! Following Your will in joy and obedience brings blessings always!

                                                         Ephesians 3:19-21 (TPT)

Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!

2

Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.

There is nothing slse like the love and power of our Almighty God! Sometimes I love to just sit and soak in it! It empowers me to continue walking or running the path! My friends, if you do not Know this amazing GOD, please choose to have relationship with Him. He is our Lord and Savior who wants to know you. Make the choice today and enjoy His love for you.

THE BRIDE

Jeremiah 33:11: The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth forever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.

Can the bride think of anything but her groom? Yet you think of many things that do not include Me, saith the Lord.

Where are My devoted ones, My set-apart ones who hunger for My presence? (I felt deep sadness and grief)  Where are those who long after and watch for My return?

Where is the worship due My holy name? Where are My worshipers? Why do they sing songs of praise to the world and not to Me? (terrible grief in His voice)

Why, after all I do for you, do you chase after other gods, other lovers? Why is it you will bow to the opinions and desires of those around you and not bow before Me?

Am I not worthy of your praise? Your worship? Your devotion? Is there not honor due My holy name?

You see the dirty, stained condition of My bride. She is stained with the filth of the world around her. I desire for My bride to come aside with Me, but she tarries in the world instead. (I sensed the Lord had some anger at the bride's unfaithfulness)

My bride is indifferent to Me.

In soon times to come, she shall realize the gravity of the err of her ways. She will seek Me and cry out for Me in her distress - then she will let Me wash her clean in the water of My Holy Word.

Only then will she truly see her great need of Me. For now she is content with her lover the world, but then she shall long for Me, she shall long for My presence. She will long to feel the security of My love and she will truly seek Me then.

How I long for you, My bride! How I long to hold you near Me, safe from all that is coming, but you would not.

Those who seek Me early shall find Me. Those who wait shall know great distress, for many shall perish in a short amount of time.

When there is nothing left for her to cling to but My word, then will she enter in with Me. My bride abides in the world, not in Me, where I desire she would be found. In Me she will find safety. In Me she will find all her needs met in My endless supply. In Me she can take refuge, but her eyes are on another, on the world, and she is polluted with gazing at evil and corruption.

(I thought of how gazing at worldly television programs and movies and news reports does this to us - it fills our minds with murder and corruption and keeps our mind off of Him and His word)

Come out of the world, My beloved. Run to Me and be safe in My arms! Run to Me where I can protect you from what is coming.

My bride must ready herself for My return. She must wash herself clean in My Holy Word. She must turn away from the ways of this world and cling to Me.

BRIDE OF CHRIST

The church is the Bride of Christ. We are the Church. We are the Bride of Christ. What knid of bride are we? God looks at us in expectation of His beautiful pure bride. Do I /you fit what He wants to see? Am I seeking after Jesus? Am I studying His Word? Do I want to grow closer  and deeper inrelationship with my God? Will I sacrifice TV to spend time with the One who loves me most?

CAN WE ATTAIN WHAT HE HAS CALLED US TO?

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (Amplified Bible) And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly consecrated to God];         (Lord God, that is YOU. You do it. You sanctify me. You keep me separated from unholy things; YOU help me to be pure and consecrated to You . . . when I am committed to that goal)

and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah). You Lord will help me to preserve my spirit, my soul: mind, will, and emotions~ and my body sound and complete so I can be blameless when Jesus returns.

24 Faithful is He Who is calling you [to Himself] and utterly trustworthy, and He will also do it [fulfill His call by hallowing and keeping you].

Hebrews 13:20 says God does all those things for us and for others" By the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting covenant."

Isn't that amazing? God does it for us!

Hebrews 13:20-21 (Amplified Bible)

20 Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace?],  By the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting covenant."Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),

When we are praying and we plead the blood of Jesus over something, we are essentially activating the power of the New Covenant established by the death and resurrection of Jesus. We're saying, "I have God's covenant promise of blessings, and of protection and of deliverance.  So when I apply the blood of Jesus to a particular situation in my life, I essentially loose the power of God Himself to go to work for me fulfilling these covenant promises."

This mighty Creator of the universe loves us so much! And by simply pleading the blood of Jesus over the members of my family and others as the Lord leads, I open the door for God to protect them physically and sanctify their hearts. We can even open the door for the Holy Spirit to prepare them for the coming of the Lord. How awesome is that!!

Hebrews 13:21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages). Amen (so be it).

Can this loving God offer more to us? He is the One Who gives us strength and equips us with everything we need to carry out His will. Yes He asks things of us, but He helps us to the point of actually working inside of us Himself to bring us to the point of pleasing Him!

Can we really ask any more?

SAME ITCHY EARS TODAY

As I was reading this Scripture, it sounded familiar:

2 Tim 4:3 For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold,  And will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths and man-made fictions.

Paul, the Apostle, wrote these words , and I guess mankind does not change much, for today is no different. Many still have' itching ears'. There are an increasing number of  false teachings around for people to glum onto, and there are those who still seek teachings that satisfy what they want to hear to give validity to the life they want to live. It is sad, because, Lord, Your truth brings immense satisfaction to the soul and a fullness of joy to the heart.

Your truth merits eternal rewards; no false teaching does. When Your Word is refused as truth, one must then decide according to the soul and the flesh what they want to do, say and believe. The enemy takes joyful glee in that; for he is a master at manipulating and implanting deceptive and false thoughts into unprotected minds.

You know in sci-fi they have had episodes where one person puts a helmet like device on, turns on the machine and implants knowledge into themselves or others. Wish I could implant all I know to be true of You God into others. You are so loving, so good, so faithful!

Yes, the enemy does a masterful job of deceiving people and speaks satisfactory lies into their minds, just as it did with Adam and Eve. They bit, and many today take bites from the same apple. They do not trust Father God. It boils down to that. So many fears. People are afraid to entrust their lives to Him. They believe they can do a better job of living their lives than God can if they give Him control. They do not know the extent of His love for us all, and the end results of our choices. Yes, when one knows His love and His character, trusting Him becomes easier.

Despite what Jesus did for us. . .  the enemy has managed to whitewash, to cover, to demote it into some kind of ritual or fiction. If they could truly grasp the intense pain You, Jesus, were willing and did endure for us~so intense You sweat blood in the garden just thinking of what was to come. When the pain became nearly intolerable as the whip took bites out of Your flesh, you thought of us and your love for us kept You going. As they impaled You on the cross with those huge nails crushing bones, causing nerve endings screaming pain, You thought of us and were empowered to continue on with Your mission of salvation. As You took on all our sin, the Father had to leave You, and the devastation of that emptiness was so intense it nearly broke You entirely.

Jesus did all that needed to be done to save us, to make it possible for us to enter the Lord God’s presence and receive His loving blessings and powerful revelations in this earthly life and the next one to come.

The love of God is so incredibly huge, we cannot begin to comprehend it. Yet it is in the knowing that we are able to trust. God is so magnificent, enormous and powerful and He also treasures us as His precious children. How can we not trust Him?

My friends, explore the gains to those who accept, God's Son Jesus as their Savior, the peace, the rest, the total cleansing of the soul, and the eternal rewards that will come.

COLD SO EVIL

Come in out of the cold. These words reverberated in my head. It’s the coldest October ever and there are many homeless people on the streets! The shelters are full, still churches reach out to invite people into the warm. Police drive buses around finding homeless. How miserable many must be! A mother and baby were found almost frozen to death, but God led His people to discover them and they survived. Children shivered, men crunched themselves into corners out of the wind, and this is the physical condition. So weary.

                        t

In the spirit, many are in a similar condition. Shivering with fear of unknown futures, darkness surrounds as evil stalks the minds. Abuse looms over them and remembered pain covers the light. Can anything sweep away the stench of betrayal?

Where is the one who can save them? Can hope survive this chaos of brain scatter? Walking down the street, music drifts out of a doorway: from where does it flow? Melodies of remembrance from early life when mother was alive . . . Yes a momentary peace caused shoulders to relax. Mother sang of a Savior, one who loved. one who died, yet one who lives again. Hope seeped up from her childhood and put one finger on her heart. Could it be real?

Her face lifted from the frigid shadows into the brightness of light as she entered the warm building. Heavenly voices sang worshipping tunes to the God of her childhood. Her body and soul felt the spark of joy illuminated by the candle light; smiles touched her heart in welcome. Eyes closed in calmness. She had come home.

Once again she was returned to her Father Creator. Here was peace; here was joy; here was the One Perfect Love!

HIDDEN PAIN

There once was a small angel precious in the sight of God. He loved her and watched over her. Unfortunately she was born into a family who rejected her and wanted to end her life. But God put His protection around her and she survived the rejection. A nurse looked at the little creation and loved her, and the strength of that love grew in the small one. Despite her irregularities, she grew. The side of her face was marred by a large strawberry birthmark, but her eyes were shining, and some saw only this allure. The nurse adopted her as her very own daughter and called her Sunny.

Each morning the nurse~mom kissed the mark on Sunny’s face with a loving smile and a lilting laugh of joy, and Sunny giggled. And they were happy. However, not everyone was happy, for the enemy of our souls could not abide love; so he called a force of demons to begin to harass this family. They called children to be cruel calling Sunny hurtful names. When she ran to nurse~mom for comfort, she found love and joy. For God’s love inhabited nurse~mom and poured out into Sunny. Jesus wrapped Sunny in His warm cloak of protection which was  a shield that covered her heart. Love flowers of pink and purple, yellow and orange, red and blue began to sprout from the soil between the rocks of offense, and her heart emerged as an exquisite garden.

Love was Sunny’s answer, and she grew to discover great gifts within. Her strawberry birthmark spread out on her face as she matured into adulthood; it formed a perfect heart on her face. Everywhere Sunny went, she carried God’s message of perfect love.

When we are attacked by offensive actions or remarks that pierce our soul, the best solution is to take it to God. He alone knows what our heart needs, and is capable of giving it. So many people are hiding behind masks of a happy face, when their true emotions are steeped in pain. Cheeks wet with tears betray the inner reality. Struggles to hide their deep sadness causes build up of emotional agony.

Our God can bring the answer, for He is love. The answer might be just cuddling the hurt one in a soft blanket of caring; or it could be a nugget of information on hormones that can lead to healing the emotions. The best suggestion is to never lose hope, for God will lead one to answers. Trust in Him!

Love can overcome many negative situations. Our God is love and when love shines, miracles can happen. Hurts can be soothed. Anger can soften. Understanding can begin. Continue to build relationship with our powerful God of love, for truth be told, He has all the answers. Seek Him.

He is Love and the source of all love!

LOVE POURS OUT! PSALM 62

Posted on October 21, 2019 at 1:20 AM Comments comments (1)

Psalm 62  (TPT)

Unshakable Faith

To the Pure and Shining On

King David’s melody of love’s celebration:

I stand silently to listen for the one I love,
waiting as long as it takes for the Lord to rescue me.
For God alone has become my Savior.

2 He alone is my safe place;
His wrap-around presence always protects me.
For He is my champion defender;
there’s no risk of failure with God.
So why would I let worry paralyze me,
even when troubles multiply around me?

3 But look at these who want me dead,
shouting their vicious threats at me!
The moment they discover my weakness,
they all begin plotting to take me down.

4 Liars, hypocrites, with nothing good to say.
All of their energies are spent
on moving me from this exalted place.
Pause in His presence
(This sounds a lot like our President's situation)....                                                                  ..

5 I am standing in absolute stillness, silent before the one I love,
waiting as long as it takes for him to rescue me.
Only God is my Savior, and He will not fail me.

6 For He alone is my safe place.
His wrap-around presence always protects me
as my champion defender.
There’s no risk of failure with God!
So why would I let worry paralyze me,
even when troubles multiply around me?

7 God’s glory is all around me!
His wrap-around presence is all I need,
for the Lord is my Savior, my hero, and my life-giving strength.

8 Join me, everyone! Trust only in God every moment!
Tell him all your troubles and pour out your heart-longings to him.
Believe me when I tell you—He will help you!
 Pause in his presence

9 Before God all the people of the earth, high or low,
 are like smoke that disappears,
like a vapor that quickly vanishes away.
Compared to God they’re nothing but vanity, nothing at all!

10 The wealth of the world is nothing to God.
So if your wealth increases, don’t be boastful or
put your trust in your money.
And don’t you think for a moment that
you can get away with stealing by overcharging others
just to get more for yourself!
11 God said to me once and for all,
“All the strength and power you need flows from Me!”
And again I heard it clearly said,

12 “All the love you need is found in Me!”
And it’s true that You repay people for what they do.

My friends, one can see why God said that King David was a man after His own heart. David was far from perfect, but he repented his sins and returned to God and His will. Our God loves us so much! We too should be praising God. We can take everything to Him as verses 5 and 6 and 8 show: our stress, hardships, disappointments, fears, anxiety, etc. He is our Protector, our Safe-Place.

 ..............        ....................  ...............................

David's love for and trust in God pours out in this Scripture. This is for us too. We can trust and have a love relationship with God! He first loved us and is just waiting for us to discover how much He cares for us, so we can respond to this love. Dear ones, do not deny yourself a marvelous experience! Choose to believe that Jesus died for your sins and they are cleansed away. Make Him King of your heart, and be filled with His peace and joy.

GIFTS

There was a time in my early married years that I decided to try out my sewing machine, a wedding gift from my parents. It didn’t look too difficult, Actually I sewed curtains for my kitchen window and it was a matter of some straight line sewing and measuring. They turned out well. Then I chose to make a dress. That did not go well. I discovered I needed to go and buy a Pattern. Even following that was difficult. Never wore the dress. However I did find a simpler pattern to work from, and that was a little better.

These memories came up later when I found this Scripture in my Bible quiet time:

Romans 12:2 (NIV)

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

There are two very different choices to make here. You see life has patterns too, and I’ve found that they are really important. As a Christian, I've chosen to follow my life journey  on the road to eternal joy. As the Word tells us~

John 3:16  (NIV)

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I for one have decided to believe that Jesus is God’s Son and that His torturous death followed by His Resurrection bought me the gift of salvation. It paid for my sins, so I can now live in the purity of Jesus gift to me. My sins are forgotten and forgiven, washed clean away! I have been gifted with God’s DNA and am in His family now.

No longer am I a prisoner of sin and the evil one. Jesus freed me to live according to the blessed pattern of God’s will. I have  built a wonderful relationship with God, and you can do this too!! Then the patterns of the world will no longer entice you. Sin will have no hold over you. Your new pattern will bring you onto the road of a new life where joy and peace can seam together perfectly.

If you are tired of the traps of the enemy, the unhappiness, addictions, fear, evil  memories that often capture your mind; then it’s an easy choice that brings a great reward now and also of eternal proportions!  Just opt for Jesus to be the designer of your pattern, the King of your life! Ask Him.

He will never refuse a heartfelt desire for a relationshipnwith Him!

LIFE'S GUIDE

Are you facing a problem? Our amazing God loves us so much, He wants to help us live our life and solve our ptoblems. God actually gave us an Owners Manual on how to get the most out of life. It’s called the Bible. and God’s Word is so good! It is for teaching and inspiring. Not only that, but when we accept Jesus gift of salvation we also are given the Holy Spirit to live in us as a Guide, Teacher, Mentor, Protector, Comforter.

Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, Third Person of the Godhead. It’s a little difficult to understand. But many things are 3 in one: an egg: shell, egg white, and the yolk. Water is liquid, gas (steam), and solid (snow or ice.) Humans have a body, a soul, and a spirit. Anyway, our God loves us each uniquely. Yes, He loves all His kids, but because He loves us all does not mean that one makes up for another. He does not want to lose any of us, for we are each special to Him. His Spirit indwells us when we accept Jesus as His Son and our Savior.

When we face situations in life, we can take them to God and He is right there to help us to fix them, and the Bible is filled with His personal Word to us on how to do that. With Holy Spirit as our guide, He will lead us right to where the correct Scripture is. Let’s look at the first five verses of the Hebrew 12 Scripture.

Hebrews 12:1-5 (TPT)     The Great Cloud of Witnesses

1.As for us, we have all of these great witnesses[a] who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us[b] and the sin we so easily fall into.[c] Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race[d] with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us.[e]

Verses can be understood more deeply from the [Footnotes] So what does this verse mean? Let's chck out the Footnotes for these verses.

So we must “let go of every wound that has pierced us [b] and the sin we so easily fall into”. Hebrews 12:1 Or “get rid of every arrow tip in us.” The implication is carrying an arrow tip inside a wound~ that weighs us down and keeps us from running our race with freedom.

“and the sin we so easily fall into”: Hebrews 12:1 Or “the sin that so cleverly entangles us.” The Aramaic can be translated “the sin that is ready [and waiting] for us.” If this is speaking of one sin, the context would point to the sin of unbelief and doubting God’s promises.

“Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race [d] with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us.” [e]

Or “obstacle course.” The Greek word agona means agony or conflict. The assumption is this race will not be easy, but the proper path to run has been set before us. The Aramaic can be translated:

the race [personally] appointed to us” God has a destiny for each of us that we are to give ourselves fully to reach.

2 We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection.[f] His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be His,[g] He endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation,[h] and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!

Verse 2:  We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection

OrHe is the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be His, He endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, This was the joy of our salvation. He placed before His eyes the bliss we would forever share together with Him, which empowered Him to go through His agony, The Greek is “thinking nothing of its shame.”

and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! He is now

3 So consider carefully how Jesus faced such intense opposition from sinners who opposed their own souls,[i] so that you won’t become worn down and cave in under life’s pressures. Or “those who were their own stumbling block.” As translated from the Aramaic. Refuse to belief.

4 After all, you have not yet reached the point of sweating blood[j]

Or “resisting until blood. Dreading the future so strongly as Jesus did that He sweat great drops of blood contemplating the cross.

“in your opposition to sin." translated “Don’t let your soul tremble [with dread] when your loyalty strays from Him.”

5 And have you forgotten his encouraging words spoken to you as his children? He said,

My child, don’t underestimate the value
of the discipline and training of the Lord God,
or get depressed when he has to correct you.[k]

My friends, by meditating on each verse, we can gain understanding and apply verses to our own life. This was just an example of a way to study the Bible.

Take time to ask Holy Spirit to be your guide and follow His lead. Spend time with Him as you set an appointment each day to spend with our Lord; make it an important comittment.

                                                    Enjoy, my friends!

TALKING WITH GOD

Posted on October 6, 2019 at 3:40 AM Comments comments (1)

Was thinking about prayer this morning, and how important and helpful it is. After all, prayer is talking to God. It does not have to be certain words, certain time, it is much more like talking to a friend. After all, our goal is to develop relationship with our God; and just like ALL relationships come by spending time together, by sharing hearts with each other in friendship, so a connection develops with our God in the same way.

I think trusting God is first;  we have to know how much our God loves us, and the Bible is full of His words of love for us. I have just chosen a couple as examples. Our prayer life can exude from a love of God like this demonstrates ~

I submit myself to You Lord, my heart, my soul, my will. You are my strength! You are my protector! You are the Lord of my life! I bow before You in humble homage. Holy Spirit, meaning no disrespect, I relate to You more my Lord. You are like a friend; a holy friend to whom I have the highest respect and love. One of Your functions is to bring me to Jesus, to know Him truly, to relate to Him as I do to You; it is with this closeness, this tender love, I approach Jesus, Who walked the earth 2000 years ago; Who indwells me through You; this Jesus loves me so much He became human and suffered incredible pain to pay off my sin debt, so I can be with Him forever. He could not bear to see me in hell and separated from Him forever. So He chose to pay the huge price for my/our sins

Now when we choose to accept Jesus gift of paying our sin debt, so we can be free of evil's clutches, we are reborn into Jesus' family with His DNA. Our whole life can turn around, and we get hungry to know all about our God. Jesus sends the Holy Spirit to indwell us. To know Him is to love Him. Yes I want to know Father, Son and Holy Spirit more and more!

1 Coriinthians 2:10-16

But God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit. Yes, he has revealed to us his inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things. 11 After all, who can really see into a person’s heart and know his hidden impulses except for that person’s spirit? So it is with God. His thoughts and secrets are only fully understood by his Spirit, the Spirit of God.

12 For we did not receive the spirit of this world system but the Spirit of God, so that we might come to understand and experience all that grace has lavished upon us. 13 And we articulate these realities with the words imparted to us by the Spirit and not with the words taught by human wisdom. We join together Spirit-revealed truths with Spirit-revealed words.

14 Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can’t understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit. 15 Those who live in the Spirit are able to carefully evaluate all things, and they are subject to the scrutiny of no one but God.

16 For who has ever intimately known the mind of the Lord Yahweh well enough to become his counselor? Christ has, and we possess Christ’s perceptions [ the mind of Christ]

Yes, with the Holy Spirit indwelling us we have the mind of Christ. I use this biblical truth as a claim over my own life. For example if I am forgetful. I will say, “I have the mind of Christ. He was not forgetful of things, therefore neither am I.” Thank You Lord that I have the mind if Christ. Your Word says so, and You cannot lie. I believe this truth and claim it over my life.

There is even a place in the Bible where Jesus prays for us. It is shortly before He returns bodily to heaven:

John 17:11    I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.

Jesus Prays for You and me:

John 17:20 “And I ask not only for these disciples,
but also for all those who will one day
believe in Me through their message.

21 I pray for them all to be joined together as one
even as you and I, Father, are joined together as one.
I pray for them to become one with us
so that the world will recognize that You sent Me.

22 For the very glory you have given to me I have given them
, so that they will be joined together as one
, and experience the same unity that we enjoy.

23 You live fully in me and now I live fully in them
, so that they will experience perfect unity,
and the world will be convinced that you have sent me,
for they will see that you love each one of them
with the same passionate love that you have for Me.

Yes, God loves us with the same passionate love as He loves His Son Jesus.

When we understand that we arethe beloved of God, we can approach Him with confidence and love in return. As we develop this love relationship, our conversation with God will reflect it. Our prayer life will grow in conviction and love as well.

So if you have questions or comments in relation to your prayer life, please feel free to share.

A WILD RIDE!

Holy Spirit, third Person of the Holy Trinity, You are my God. I am Your child. I love You and thank You for healing my body, for helping my thinking be always true. I cast out the spirit of pride commanding it to leave my self forever. My Holy One, You always bring me joy. You love me in a special unique way. Holy Spirit do You have a Scripture for me?

Isaiah 54:17 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.

If something's coming and I need this Scripture, thank You Lord. You are my Protector! Holy One teach me more about Jesus; I want to go deeper, to really commune with Him at a deeper level.  His majesty is enormous! His glory is brighter than the sun! He is my Savior, My King! On that earthly cross, You Jesus bought me and paid a dear price for me in your blood. Thank You!

This Scripture above was needed. We know the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He has cruel weapons and vicious evil spirits who work for him. Recently he tried to kill us, but my God is stronger, and can protect us from the enemy.

It was a wild ride indeed ~ 75mph swerving back and forth across a  highway. . .

It happened like this:

I was driving along a Colorado highway returning from a long road trip. My cruse control set on 75/mph on a  straight road' whose peaceful quiet views caused me to relax… too much. Drowsy eyes went into a kind of hypnotic state; I fell asleep. It was the sound of the ‘off the highway’ warning strip' that woke me to my car heading toward a ditch and a metal pole coming at me fast. I jerked the wheel to the right, got back on the road, but car was still going at 75/mph and so reached the opposite edge  quickly; instinct jerked the wheel back which headed the car fast toward the other side. This happened several times until I heard a voice say “do not turn the wheel so far ~ just make a small correction. That voice calmed my thoughts and reactions and the process brought the car under control. My husband in the passenger seat later said “You were still half asleep. It must have been the Holy Spirit driving”

Needless to say, I exited at the next available place. God was with me ( He might even have taken over the driving) Another blessing was that there was not another car in sight! A major highway with no car in sight ~ that has to be a work of God too! Yes we needed His protection and my God was faithful to provide it.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, You are my God Who loves me. You love me as daughter, as warrior in training, as servant by choice. I lay before You my ego and I ask You to help me conform it to Your will. You are so great and I don’t understand how You can relate to me, but You do. You are God and You do choose to care about me, protect me, and embrace me. I feel so loved!

My friends, our great God is a loving Father and does all He can to help us in ways only He is able. Do you have relationship with this amazing God Whose love covers us in so many ways? If not, please develop a relationship with Him. He loves you and desires to have relationship with you as well! Life connected with God is a joy.

ANOTHER DISCOVERY OF A WANDERING MIND

Posted on September 18, 2019 at 1:00 PM Comments comments (0)

This Scripture sent me on a new journey of discovery, and this time I invite you to join me. I ask Holy Spirit to help me learn more about Jesus, and He gives me these verses from Hebrews in The Passion Translation:

Hebrews 6:18-20 TPT

18 So it is impossible for God to lie for we know that his promise and his vow will never change! And now we have run into his heart to hide ourselves in his faithfulness. This is where we find his strength and comfort, for he empowers us to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakeable hope!

19 We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God Himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat [b] which sits in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold,[c] 20 and where Jesus, our forerunner,[d] has gone in before us. He is now and forever our royal Priest like Melchizedek.[e]

Footnotes

Hebrews 6:19 Implied in the text and made explicit as that which is found inside the innermost chamber. Hebrews 6:19 As translated from the Aramaic, which is literally “beyond the faces of the door.”

Hebrews 6:20 Or “trailblazer.” Jesus has blazed a trail for us to enter into the sacred chamber and seize the hope that has been fulfilled in His eyes already, to have a company of king-priests who will dwell with Him in the holiest of holies and minister from there out to the nations of the earth. The clear implication of ~  we can depend on that and hide in His heart and His love whenever we need that strength and comfort.vv. 19–20    He takes us in to share his throne and his ministry as the royal Priest.

Hebrews 6:20 Or “in the order [likeness] of Melchizedek.”

“We have run into His heart to hide ourselves” in His faithfulness. How marvelous to know beyond doubt that our God is always faithful. And like the Scripture says, it’s where we find His strength and comfort! We are anchored to Him / held firmly to Him by Him. How secure it makes me feel. How about you?

He, Jesus, empowers us to seize what was already established ahead of time ~ an unshakeable hope.  The Word also says we are fastened to the mercy seat. If we do wrong and repent, God’s mercy forgives and forgets. This too, is part of our security, for we know our God will never reject us. His love for you and me is all powerful It keeps our souls superglued to Jesus as we travel our road to eternity. Holy Spirit works within us to hold us on the right road.

My friends, we are not wandering with no goal in sight. Oh no, Jesus is in the Holy of Holies waiting for us to join Him. Our unshakeable Hope is that we will be with Jesus as king-priests who will dwell with Him and minister from there out to the nations of the earth. It is our home and cannot be shaken, because Jesus already sees us there with Him.

As each of us journey down our path, we will grow and learn with Holy Spirit’s aid to become more like Jesus. Our experiences will teach us, and sitting under the tutelage of Holy Spirit and studying the Bible will build the character of God in our hearts. So we will one day find ourselves in the holiest of holies with Jesus and  being assigned our ‘priestly’ work for Him.

Can you see yourself being in His powerful Presence? His face looking at you with love? His smile is for you alone as He talks with you? Peace and quiet joy surround as you listen to His words. Feel your heart rest in contentment and excitement.

This Scripture takes me wandering down my own eternal highway. Did you like the journey?

DISCOVERIES OF A WANDERING MIND

Posted on August 30, 2019 at 12:05 AM Comments comments (0)

My mind has just been wandering around on a journey to no particular destination. However I am still on the King's way and before Him, I bow low! He is my God Who rules this eternal kingdom. So wherever I go, He is with me. This I know because He said so:

1) Deuteronomy 31:6-8 (AMP)

6 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.”

Walking along this kingdom road, Holy Spirit reminds me of Jesus words while He walked the earthly paths speaking to all who would hear. Those who were hungry for things of the Spirit, were drawn to Him.

Is it not the same today? I recall when I was ready to hear Him, Holy Spirit led m to meet a friend at a small restaurant where I waited for my friend (we arranged to meet between our 2 cities) As I sat a woman came along and asked if she could sit with me? I said yes. She spoke about the Bible and invited me to a Bible Study. That was the beginning of my deeper walk with God. Bless that lady for being obedient to You Father.

John 14:16-17 The Passion Translation

And I will ask the Father and he will give you another Savior, the Holy Spirit of Truth, who will be to you a friend just like Me—and He will never leave you. The world won’t receive him because they can’t see him or know him. But you will know him intimately, because he will make his home in you and will live inside you.

2) Now I know I have Holy Spirit living in me.

Indeed, Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Holy Trinity, indwells me as an intimate friend. So as my mind wanders along this trail, I submit it to Holy Spirit guidance, so it’s not just aimless wandering, I just don’t know the destination yet.

My eyes behold a movement~ a breeze has disturbed the towel hanging, a blossom is swaying, an invisible softness is caressing my cheek. My mind identifies the Spirit’s breath of love reminding me that my God holds me as His precious child. Love is guiding my mind now.

God’s love is powerful, and is a weapon against evil. An evil germ has attacked my throat and sinuses. I reach out and grab the Words that fight evil. They are God’s Words about Jesus passage here  and its ultimate purpose ~ it was all for us. God loves us so much, He wants us to know Him and have a deep personal relationship with Him. His greatest gift to us was His Son Jesus; for He took upon Himself to pay all our sin debt. And we, upon accepting this marvelous present from Him, become cleansed from all our sin ~ it is gone from us and we are born anew, pure and free from the clutches of sin. We belong to God’s family now with His DNA.

The other part of this gift is the effects of sin can be erased as well. In the garden Adam and Eve were created free from any disease. Being reborn means we have a renewed body ~ like Adam’s. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and King, God’s Son, we have bodies that can accept the healing grace of God’s Word. He is not a man that He should lie:

Numbers 23:19  New King JV“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

By Jesus tortured body, death and resurrection, we were healed, and that healing grace flows down through the ages covering us.

3) We live in divine health

1 Peter 2:24 The Passion Translation (TPT)

24 He himself carried our sins [a] in his body on the cross [b] so that we would be dead to sin [c] and live for righteousness. Our instant healing flowed from his wounding. [d]

Footnotes: 1 Peter 2:24 This healing includes the body, soul, and emotions. It was fulfilled in two ways: first, by the healing ministry of Jesus, and second, by the blood of Christ’s wounds. See Matt. 8:16-17; Isa. 53:5.

Isaiah 53:5 But HE was wounded for our transgressions, HE was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrong doing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on HIM, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.

Wow! My mind wandering has hit the jack pot! This cruise through time has netted me a powerful truth! I have God Himself abiding in me ~ an eternal divine friend to lead me on my life trip. He brings me to Truth and salvation, healing and joy. I follow His ways, and my destination will be an everlasting home with Him. I like this mind wandering! I’ll have to try it again! Next time I invite you to come along with me.

BE A CAVER

Posted on August 19, 2019 at 3:40 AM Comments comments (0)

“Spelunkers” are those who choose to go down into the earth exploring caves. Many are untrained and for them it can be a hazardous sport. “Cavers” are those who have been trained in cave exploration, its dangers, its required skills, its necessary tools, etc. One facetious banner says “Cavers rescue spelunkers.”

So let’s look at the sport from a different perspective. One chooses to enter darkness, for once beyond the entrance, no light penetrates. Walking carefully, observing the tapering passages, the surprising waterways, crawling through narrow holes~ the excitement for some is in the dangers and challenges.

Life can be like a murky trip in a strange cave, because In life we find places of spiritual darkness. Temptations can look exciting, but the shadowy adventure into challenges bathed in gloom can hide deadly falls. In caves flashlights can help provide light. What is our light in spiritual places where no light exists? Pridefull thinking~we know the way, or just being unsure of our way, we can stumble into lies and destruction~stalagtites hanging down or stalamites rising up from the ground can be painful stumbling blocks.

In our spiritual cave we face similar challenges from the unlighted interior; without a light source our travels can become hazardous indeed.

For us illumination must be from our God, He is the indwelling Lord of all! Christ in us provides the light. I recall a previous blog where Jesus and I were on a ledge overlooking a garden as a dark shadow began crawling over it. Jesus asked me if I were willing to go down into the darkness for Him? It placed a heavy fear in my middle. I asked, “Will You go with me?” He smiled and said," I am always with you". Realizing this truth, I agreed to go. The advancing shadow was full of evil and wickedness, as well as vicious foes. But remember what the Word says,

1 John 4:4“New King James Version

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Jesus dwells in me with all His power. Trusting Him is the victors march. i will go anywhere He commands. Recalling Who is the Light in me I have no fear! See what Jesus says,

John 9:4-5 The Passion Translation (TPT)

4 While I am with you, it is daytime and we must do the works of God who sent me while the light shines. For there is coming a dark night when no one will be able to work.[a] 5 As long as I am with you my life is the light that pierces the world’s darkness.”

Just check the news programs and you will notice the darkness like an inky smoke covering the globe. One country is fighting another the world over. The hatred of Satan is infusing itself into many world governments. Laws are being put in place some instilling hatred, or coming against God’s laws; LGTB is insinuating its agenda every where now. Baby murder is world spread. Generations are being annihilated for selfish and greedy reasons. Yes the evil shadow is spreading.

Each of us with Jesus (when we have chosen Him as the King of our lives, thus now indwelling us,) are a light in the world. God has a plan for us, a path He set for us to follow, and He is the light upon our path

Psalm 18:11 New King James Version

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Psalm 18:28 The Passion Translation

God, all at once you turned on a floodlight for me! You are the revelation-light in my darkness, and in your brightness I can see the path ahead.

When we go into the darkness to carry Jesus message, it is crucial that we be “cavers” who are secure in the knowledge of whose we are, and that we carry the God of the Universe within as our source and power. My friends, if you are not convinced that Jesus is God and helps us in our life journey, then seek Him! Get to know Him. Ask Him to be Lord of your life. He will gladly lead you on the path out of the darkness and into the light of your destiny. Any battle can be won when we have Jesus fighting with us! We can carry His light into any cave's darkness to discover truth.

TRUST

Posted on August 16, 2019 at 3:50 AM Comments comments (0)

I'm remembering when the  kids were small. We were swimming and they were just learning. They were at the steps entering the pool and and I said "jump to me" as I held my arms out. They trusted me and I caught them. One time she didn't jump far enough and went under water before I could catch her. Of course, I was close enough to grab her up quickly.. Because we had already  built a trust relationship, she continued to jump to me.

We have that situation with God too. Our ability to trust God is of critical importance for us to live a peaceful and powerful life. My little ones knew I loved them and would not abandon them. Do you have any idea how much Father God loves us? I know some do, but if you do not, then how can you trust Him? How do you begin a new friendship? You arrange to spend time with that person so you can get to know them on a deeper level sharing ideas and getting to know their character. That;s the way we come to know God also.

Once you become acquainted with Who He truly is, You will  be aware of His faithfulness and His love for you. Begin by getting to know His Word in the Bible. Find a good Bible Study and a good church that teaches the Word. Ask God to lead you  to the place He has for you to learn and grow.

My friends, this will be the most exciting time in your  life! Connecting with God, I mean truly getting to know Him and how much He cares for you, is a joy filling time. As you continue to build your relationship, with Him, You can experience His help as you meet challenges in life. He doesn't promises to take them awy, but He does promise to walk through them with you. Some Scriptures that have held me close are:

Romans 8:28  (NIV)

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Psalm 138:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;

Isaiah 43:1 (AMP)

I have called you by name; you are Mine!

He promises to help us through our trials and storms; He will never abandon us. To us it may seem like He is not listening, but He is listening and working behind  the scenes for us. Trusting means we do not turn away from Him, but continue to trust Him to be faithful to His promises no matter what the circumstances look like. Our powerful God is not bound by worldly ways. Keep thanking Him for being faithful to His Word. Trust Him. He never fails us. That does not mean He aslways gives us what we want in our timimg, but He'll always give us what's best for us in His best timing. We are  called to trust!

IDENTITY THEFT

My friends, in case you are unaware, let me reveal a truth to you. We have an enemy, and our enemy  comes to lie, steal and destroy us.  We all must be aware of our chief enemy, for it is a cunning snake and hates us. No matter what is your history or how you grew up, know the enemy will use the things in Your life and mine that make us vulnerable to its malice. He most wants to steal our identity. So we must know beyond a doubt whose we are. I've pulled just two Scriptures of the many that show us our true identity.

Do you know who you are? I’ve been looking at a few Scriptures lately, and found beautiful words that reveal whose we truly are! . One example is:

Hebrews 10:12-16 (TPT)

12 But when this Priest [Jesus] had offered the one supreme sacrifice for sin for all time he sat down on a throne at the right hand of God, 13 waiting until all his whispering enemies are subdued and turn into his footstool.

14 And by his one perfect sacrifice He made us perfectly holy and complete for all time!

15 The Holy Spirit confirms this to us by this Scripture, for the Lord says,

16 “Afterwards, I will give them this covenant: I will embed my laws into their hearts and fasten my Word to their thoughts.”

Look at these verses. They say Jesus' perfect sacrifice for us on the cross made us holy and complete for all time. Yes, He paid off our sin debt freeing us and cleansing us of all sin.as we accept Jesus perfect gift and choose to follow His ways;  we are made holy and complete. Does that mean we never behave imperfectly or sin? No, it means our new nature is such that we want to live our life for Christ; if we do fall into temptation and sin, but we are truly sorry and repent, our sin is forgiven and forgotten. We go forward in our freshly renewed and cleansed state.

So look at verse 16: God promises to make a covenant with us. He will embed His laws into our hearts. That results in us loving God and His laws ~ thus we will be inclined to obey them. To help with that He fastens His Word in our thoughts, and His powerful Word will work on our mind, our will, and our emotions. His Word is so encouraging to any situation, that we will learn to trust God throughout any trial. He knows us completely and thus can help us when we seek Him out.

I’ll share a second one with you too. This one is so full it grabbed me from the first time I read it.

John 1:10-13 The Passion Translation (TPT)

10 He entered into the very world he created,

    yet the world was unaware.

11 He came to the very people he created—

to those who should have recognized him,

but they did not receive him.

12 But those who embraced him and took hold of his name

    were given authority to become

    the children of God!

Footnotes:

John 1:12 Or “those who are putting faith into his name.” To “lay hold of his name” means to believe all that he represents and put into practice what he taught in the power of his name.

13 He was not born by the joining of human parents

or from natural means, or by a man’s desire,

but he was born of God.

Footnotes:

This verse could be considered John’s version of the virgin birth of Christ. The Word (message) is now “humanized” (and become the messenger). or new birth of those who became “children of God” Once we accept Jesus as Lord of our life, we are transformed into God's kids with His DNA.

Here we are a couple of thousands of years later and we are able to see Jesus, the Son of God, Lord Almighty. We are so blessed! We know who He is, and we accept Him for who He is, and we revere Jesus as our Savior, the Son of God. So through our acceptance we become children of the Almighty. You and I are the beloved sons and daughters of God Himself!

Yes, we are each a child of God and He loves us as His kids. What a joy to be in His Presence! How reassuring to know He is with us, and He is always true to His promises. just remembering that causes my shoulders to relax. My friends, knowing who you are, I hope you will pursue a growing relationship with Him! No matter what trials you may have, never allow the enemy to cause you doubt about your Father and His mighty love for you. You belong to God! He knows your name!

                                                    Isaiah 43:1

I have called you by your name; you are Mine.

BECOME WHO YOU WERE CREATED TO BE

Going deeper with God. Diving in all the way into the deep discovering who I really am, and who I really am with God ~ knowing tests and trials are in that scenario. God is my Creator who put all potential in me. He placed a path in me to take me to the full realization of who I was made to become. Each day I follow His ways, His voice and grow more like Jesus. If you don’t get what I am saying, then let me start in a different place.

Eternity goes on and on, an ever-ready bunny never stopping, a center of the earth no one has ever reached. Eternity is where Heaven and hell are found. My pathway created in me by God ~ the way I choose to follow~ leads to my Father God and heaven. The unique thing to understanding is that Eternity is now. It’s the road in the kingdom that I walk along. I found the map in my Bible and follow it every day so I don’t get lost. Sometimes I find myself discouraged and sad, and my path can get blurred as I choose to go my own way; I end up in trouble. “Oh Lord! Help me,” I call out to God.

What’s really amazing is that He is there, just waiting for my cry; He comes and shows me the way back. It’s a wonderful thing about our relationship, He never fails me. Even when I mess up, so long as I repent of my sin, God forgives it and FORGETS IT. I am given a fresh start and continue on my journey. The longer I follow His path the less and less I am tempted to leave it.

Even forgiveness has become easier; when I think of what Jesus suffered for me to be forgiven, I can only feel humble and thankful. What a wonderful God, how loving He is. He has a plan and a purpose for my life, and He acts in my life to help that goal be achieved. How can I not succeed when He lives in me and directs my path?

See my friends, He will do all this for you too if you just ask. Once we accept Jesus as Lord of our lives, He will joyfully indwell you and help you become whom He created you to be. You have a purpose!  You start with a sinless fresh beginning and rejoice in your new freedom! You belong to God now having inherited His DNA. The devil no longer owns you; You are free! Jesus paid the price for you. You are now of the Family of God. Be thankful. Rejoice and LIVE as God planned for you.

DEEPER

Have you ever been really hungry? I mean like your stomach hurts? Your only thought is "FOOD! WHERE IS FOOD!!" That's been an image of, "I must have more,"  my spiritual hunger lately. It's like I need to go deeper into God. And so  what does that mean? My God connection is good, but sometimes life gets so demanding that my focused  time with the Lord gets cut short, and my spiritual tank gets depleted or empty. Just like my car doesn't run well or at all on an empty tank, neither do I.

It is then necessary for me to go get a fill up. Purposefully I begin to schedule my time with my  Lord each morning. It's an appointment I must keep, and I do. When I meet with Him I find He is right there waiting for me. I begin by praising Him, this most awesome God ~ the mighty Creator who loves us all so much! There is so much joy in this world He made for us~ flowers of many colors and scents; just today I smiled at the yellow and white columbine outside my window. Earlier this year the lovely smell of lilacs flowed through my open door. How about the skies showing off His majesty in vibrant reds, oranges, yellows at dawn and sunset. Or the double rainbow that created a colorful arc over the  eastern horizon. Observe the marvelous animals in all shapes and dressed in colorful patterns. Our God cannot be described in words; He is too magnificent!

Sometimes after praise and worship, I just sit and commune with Him in the atmosphere of His love. Then I bring up questions I have for Him and ask Him to show me Scriptures, or occasionally He will answer me in His quiet voice. This time spent with my God fills me and empowers me to live the day in His way. After years of meeting with Him almost every morning our connection is strong and I know my Lord and His character.

My friends, this is my way of staying connected. I encourage you to set up an appointment with God each day and faithfully keep it. The relationship that develops will become a joy and a staunch support for you!

WHAT IS GOD'S PERSPECTIVE?

Posted on July 26, 2019 at 1:05 AM Comments comments (1)

Looking down upon the earth from God's perspective in Heaven, what does He see? Perhaps He sees all, not just physical things. He sees the war being raged between His angels and the devil. There is a darkness creeping over the world where evil is pervasive ~ hatred, persecution, murder prevails here.

However, He also sees brightness where His children fearlessly spread the Word and pray. He has set up camps of His people who are dedicated to truth and love. They reach out and call forth His power to fight off the enemy.

I don't knoiw about you, but personally, I believe He must be preparing to return fairly soon. He said,

Matthew 16:1-5  (AMPC)

16 Now the Pharisees and Sadducees came up to Jesus, and they asked Him to show them a sign (spectacular miracle) from heaven [attesting His divine authority].

2 He replied to them, When it is evening you say, It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,

3 And in the morning, It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and has a gloomy and threatening look. You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.

4 A wicked and morally unfaithful generation craves a sign, but no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. Then He left them and went away.

Footnotes:

Matthew 16:1 Of the three major sects of Judaism of that day (Pharisees, Essenes, and Sadducees), the Sadducees were a small but influential group that philosophically denied the supernatural and gravitated instead toward political control of the people.

Matthew 16:4 The “sign of Jonah” points to Jesus in many ways. Jonah being thrown into the sea points to Christ’s death. Being swallowed by the fish for three days points to Christ’s burial. And being expelled from the fish speaks of Christ’s resurrection and triumph over death, which is the greatest “sign” God could ever give. The resurrected Jesus is the eternal sign that our sins are forgiven.

What are the signs of the times that you notice? I have definitely noticed how fast time is speeding? Then have you seen the evil that is being pushed all over the world? Not just the Middle East, but Europe, and our nation as well. Norway is in the business of taking kids from their parents? For what reasons? One infant was a pound under weight; threy called it abuse and took the infant from its mother. Another couple had 4 children removed, because they were home schooling their kids and teaching Christian values to them. We know many countries are persecuting Christians for their faith.

In many countries andd US as well, children and young adults are made slaves kidnapped into the  profitable sex trade. And all must notice the murdering of unborn babies is causing the death of millions of children every year. Seems it's being pushed as a woman's right to murder her child if she doesn't want it. It hurts my heart, and how that must wound God's heart too.

Unnatural sex is claimed as a "natural" behavior now. Even changing God-given sexual parts of bodies is condoned.

Is this what God's perspective sees as He views this beautiful earth He created for us? He even gave us a book of instructions on how to live happily on this earth. Of course, His enemy who was kicked out of heaven is attempting to mess up God's plan for us. Unfortunately, he's working hard with disceptive words and lying thus gaining many followers. He calls evil good and good evil convincing confused minds.

Is God sitting back and watching the battle froom an easy chair? Absolutely not. He'e working with those who know Him to guide and empower them in the fight. We have no clue as to all He is doing behind the scenes, but we know He is moving. From over 2000 years ago He has been setting up our victory.

My friends, please know that God even sent His Son Jesus to become a human being on our earth for two reasons. One was to show us how much God loves us. The second was to take on the punishment for our sins which actually removes our sin nature and we are reborn with a God-nature. This is His gift to us. If we choose to accept this gift (and it's there waiting for us to choose to take it) we become new creatures with new natures; we can develop a deep loving relationship with God.  It is a beautiful and rewarding life we are reborn into. You can simply ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life, and He will cleanse all your sins and guide you in your life journey.. You will never know another love so fathomless, intense, tender, and faithful.

God's perspective sees all. Come be a part of the light of the love of those who know Him and have a marvelous intimate relationship with Him. Be a light in the world! Spread the good news of our salvation! Invite others to be freed from satan's clutches,  join in God's army and fight the enemy!
