LIFE'S GUIDE

Are you facing a problem? Our amazing God loves us so much, He wants to help us live our life and solve our ptoblems. God actually gave us an Owners Manual on how to get the most out of life. It’s called the Bible. and God’s Word is so good! It is for teaching and inspiring. Not only that, but when we accept Jesus gift of salvation we also are given the Holy Spirit to live in us as a Guide, Teacher, Mentor, Protector, Comforter.

Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, Third Person of the Godhead. It’s a little difficult to understand. But many things are 3 in one: an egg: shell, egg white, and the yolk. Water is liquid, gas (steam), and solid (snow or ice.) Humans have a body, a soul, and a spirit. Anyway, our God loves us each uniquely. Yes, He loves all His kids, but because He loves us all does not mean that one makes up for another. He does not want to lose any of us, for we are each special to Him. His Spirit indwells us when we accept Jesus as His Son and our Savior.

When we face situations in life, we can take them to God and He is right there to help us to fix them, and the Bible is filled with His personal Word to us on how to do that. With Holy Spirit as our guide, He will lead us right to where the correct Scripture is. Let’s look at the first five verses of the Hebrew 12 Scripture.

Hebrews 12:1-5 (TPT)     The Great Cloud of Witnesses

1.As for us, we have all of these great witnesses[a] who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us[b] and the sin we so easily fall into.[c] Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race[d] with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us.[e]

Verses can be understood more deeply from the [Footnotes] So what does this verse mean? Let's chck out the Footnotes for these verses.

So we must “let go of every wound that has pierced us [b] and the sin we so easily fall into”. Hebrews 12:1 Or “get rid of every arrow tip in us.” The implication is carrying an arrow tip inside a wound~ that weighs us down and keeps us from running our race with freedom.

“and the sin we so easily fall into”: Hebrews 12:1 Or “the sin that so cleverly entangles us.” The Aramaic can be translated “the sin that is ready [and waiting] for us.” If this is speaking of one sin, the context would point to the sin of unbelief and doubting God’s promises.

“Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race [d] with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us.” [e]

Or “obstacle course.” The Greek word agona means agony or conflict. The assumption is this race will not be easy, but the proper path to run has been set before us. The Aramaic can be translated:

the race [personally] appointed to us” God has a destiny for each of us that we are to give ourselves fully to reach.

2 We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection.[f] His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be His,[g] He endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation,[h] and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!

Verse 2:  We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection

OrHe is the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be His, He endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, This was the joy of our salvation. He placed before His eyes the bliss we would forever share together with Him, which empowered Him to go through His agony, The Greek is “thinking nothing of its shame.”

and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! He is now

3 So consider carefully how Jesus faced such intense opposition from sinners who opposed their own souls,[i] so that you won’t become worn down and cave in under life’s pressures. Or “those who were their own stumbling block.” As translated from the Aramaic. Refuse to belief.

4 After all, you have not yet reached the point of sweating blood[j]

Or “resisting until blood. Dreading the future so strongly as Jesus did that He sweat great drops of blood contemplating the cross.

“in your opposition to sin." translated “Don’t let your soul tremble [with dread] when your loyalty strays from Him.”

5 And have you forgotten his encouraging words spoken to you as his children? He said,

My child, don’t underestimate the value
of the discipline and training of the Lord God,
or get depressed when he has to correct you.[k]

My friends, by meditating on each verse, we can gain understanding and apply verses to our own life. This was just an example of a way to study the Bible.

Take time to ask Holy Spirit to be your guide and follow His lead. Spend time with Him as you set an appointment each day to spend with our Lord; make it an important comittment.

                                                    Enjoy, my friends!

TALKING WITH GOD

Posted on October 6, 2019 at 3:40 AM Comments comments (1)

Was thinking about prayer this morning, and how important and helpful it is. After all, prayer is talking to God. It does not have to be certain words, certain time, it is much more like talking to a friend. After all, our goal is to develop relationship with our God; and just like ALL relationships come by spending time together, by sharing hearts with each other in friendship, so a connection develops with our God in the same way.

I think trusting God is first;  we have to know how much our God loves us, and the Bible is full of His words of love for us. I have just chosen a couple as examples. Our prayer life can exude from a love of God like this demonstrates ~

I submit myself to You Lord, my heart, my soul, my will. You are my strength! You are my protector! You are the Lord of my life! I bow before You in humble homage. Holy Spirit, meaning no disrespect, I relate to You more my Lord. You are like a friend; a holy friend to whom I have the highest respect and love. One of Your functions is to bring me to Jesus, to know Him truly, to relate to Him as I do to You; it is with this closeness, this tender love, I approach Jesus, Who walked the earth 2000 years ago; Who indwells me through You; this Jesus loves me so much He became human and suffered incredible pain to pay off my sin debt, so I can be with Him forever. He could not bear to see me in hell and separated from Him forever. So He chose to pay the huge price for my/our sins

Now when we choose to accept Jesus gift of paying our sin debt, so we can be free of evil's clutches, we are reborn into Jesus' family with His DNA. Our whole life can turn around, and we get hungry to know all about our God. Jesus sends the Holy Spirit to indwell us. To know Him is to love Him. Yes I want to know Father, Son and Holy Spirit more and more!

1 Coriinthians 2:10-16

But God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit. Yes, he has revealed to us his inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things. 11 After all, who can really see into a person’s heart and know his hidden impulses except for that person’s spirit? So it is with God. His thoughts and secrets are only fully understood by his Spirit, the Spirit of God.

12 For we did not receive the spirit of this world system but the Spirit of God, so that we might come to understand and experience all that grace has lavished upon us. 13 And we articulate these realities with the words imparted to us by the Spirit and not with the words taught by human wisdom. We join together Spirit-revealed truths with Spirit-revealed words.

14 Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can’t understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit. 15 Those who live in the Spirit are able to carefully evaluate all things, and they are subject to the scrutiny of no one but God.

16 For who has ever intimately known the mind of the Lord Yahweh well enough to become his counselor? Christ has, and we possess Christ’s perceptions [ the mind of Christ]

Yes, with the Holy Spirit indwelling us we have the mind of Christ. I use this biblical truth as a claim over my own life. For example if I am forgetful. I will say, “I have the mind of Christ. He was not forgetful of things, therefore neither am I.” Thank You Lord that I have the mind if Christ. Your Word says so, and You cannot lie. I believe this truth and claim it over my life.

There is even a place in the Bible where Jesus prays for us. It is shortly before He returns bodily to heaven:

John 17:11    I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.

Jesus Prays for You and me:

John 17:20 “And I ask not only for these disciples,
but also for all those who will one day
believe in Me through their message.

21 I pray for them all to be joined together as one
even as you and I, Father, are joined together as one.
I pray for them to become one with us
so that the world will recognize that You sent Me.

22 For the very glory you have given to me I have given them
, so that they will be joined together as one
, and experience the same unity that we enjoy.

23 You live fully in me and now I live fully in them
, so that they will experience perfect unity,
and the world will be convinced that you have sent me,
for they will see that you love each one of them
with the same passionate love that you have for Me.

Yes, God loves us with the same passionate love as He loves His Son Jesus.

When we understand that we arethe beloved of God, we can approach Him with confidence and love in return. As we develop this love relationship, our conversation with God will reflect it. Our prayer life will grow in conviction and love as well.

So if you have questions or comments in relation to your prayer life, please feel free to share.

A WILD RIDE!

Holy Spirit, third Person of the Holy Trinity, You are my God. I am Your child. I love You and thank You for healing my body, for helping my thinking be always true. I cast out the spirit of pride commanding it to leave my self forever. My Holy One, You always bring me joy. You love me in a special unique way. Holy Spirit do You have a Scripture for me?

Isaiah 54:17 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.

If something's coming and I need this Scripture, thank You Lord. You are my Protector! Holy One teach me more about Jesus; I want to go deeper, to really commune with Him at a deeper level.  His majesty is enormous! His glory is brighter than the sun! He is my Savior, My King! On that earthly cross, You Jesus bought me and paid a dear price for me in your blood. Thank You!

This Scripture above was needed. We know the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He has cruel weapons and vicious evil spirits who work for him. Recently he tried to kill us, but my God is stronger, and can protect us from the enemy.

It was a wild ride indeed ~ 75mph swerving back and forth across a  highway. . .

It happened like this:

I was driving along a Colorado highway returning from a long road trip. My cruse control set on 75/mph on a  straight road' whose peaceful quiet views caused me to relax… too much. Drowsy eyes went into a kind of hypnotic state; I fell asleep. It was the sound of the ‘off the highway’ warning strip' that woke me to my car heading toward a ditch and a metal pole coming at me fast. I jerked the wheel to the right, got back on the road, but car was still going at 75/mph and so reached the opposite edge  quickly; instinct jerked the wheel back which headed the car fast toward the other side. This happened several times until I heard a voice say “do not turn the wheel so far ~ just make a small correction. That voice calmed my thoughts and reactions and the process brought the car under control. My husband in the passenger seat later said “You were still half asleep. It must have been the Holy Spirit driving”

Needless to say, I exited at the next available place. God was with me ( He might even have taken over the driving) Another blessing was that there was not another car in sight! A major highway with no car in sight ~ that has to be a work of God too! Yes we needed His protection and my God was faithful to provide it.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, You are my God Who loves me. You love me as daughter, as warrior in training, as servant by choice. I lay before You my ego and I ask You to help me conform it to Your will. You are so great and I don’t understand how You can relate to me, but You do. You are God and You do choose to care about me, protect me, and embrace me. I feel so loved!

My friends, our great God is a loving Father and does all He can to help us in ways only He is able. Do you have relationship with this amazing God Whose love covers us in so many ways? If not, please develop a relationship with Him. He loves you and desires to have relationship with you as well! Life connected with God is a joy.

ANOTHER DISCOVERY OF A WANDERING MIND

Posted on September 18, 2019 at 1:00 PM Comments comments (0)

This Scripture sent me on a new journey of discovery, and this time I invite you to join me. I ask Holy Spirit to help me learn more about Jesus, and He gives me these verses from Hebrews in The Passion Translation:

Hebrews 6:18-20 TPT

18 So it is impossible for God to lie for we know that his promise and his vow will never change! And now we have run into his heart to hide ourselves in his faithfulness. This is where we find his strength and comfort, for he empowers us to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakeable hope!

19 We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God Himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat [b] which sits in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold,[c] 20 and where Jesus, our forerunner,[d] has gone in before us. He is now and forever our royal Priest like Melchizedek.[e]

Footnotes

Hebrews 6:19 Implied in the text and made explicit as that which is found inside the innermost chamber. Hebrews 6:19 As translated from the Aramaic, which is literally “beyond the faces of the door.”

Hebrews 6:20 Or “trailblazer.” Jesus has blazed a trail for us to enter into the sacred chamber and seize the hope that has been fulfilled in His eyes already, to have a company of king-priests who will dwell with Him in the holiest of holies and minister from there out to the nations of the earth. The clear implication of ~  we can depend on that and hide in His heart and His love whenever we need that strength and comfort.vv. 19–20    He takes us in to share his throne and his ministry as the royal Priest.

Hebrews 6:20 Or “in the order [likeness] of Melchizedek.”

“We have run into His heart to hide ourselves” in His faithfulness. How marvelous to know beyond doubt that our God is always faithful. And like the Scripture says, it’s where we find His strength and comfort! We are anchored to Him / held firmly to Him by Him. How secure it makes me feel. How about you?

He, Jesus, empowers us to seize what was already established ahead of time ~ an unshakeable hope.  The Word also says we are fastened to the mercy seat. If we do wrong and repent, God’s mercy forgives and forgets. This too, is part of our security, for we know our God will never reject us. His love for you and me is all powerful It keeps our souls superglued to Jesus as we travel our road to eternity. Holy Spirit works within us to hold us on the right road.

My friends, we are not wandering with no goal in sight. Oh no, Jesus is in the Holy of Holies waiting for us to join Him. Our unshakeable Hope is that we will be with Jesus as king-priests who will dwell with Him and minister from there out to the nations of the earth. It is our home and cannot be shaken, because Jesus already sees us there with Him.

As each of us journey down our path, we will grow and learn with Holy Spirit’s aid to become more like Jesus. Our experiences will teach us, and sitting under the tutelage of Holy Spirit and studying the Bible will build the character of God in our hearts. So we will one day find ourselves in the holiest of holies with Jesus and  being assigned our ‘priestly’ work for Him.

Can you see yourself being in His powerful Presence? His face looking at you with love? His smile is for you alone as He talks with you? Peace and quiet joy surround as you listen to His words. Feel your heart rest in contentment and excitement.

This Scripture takes me wandering down my own eternal highway. Did you like the journey?

DISCOVERIES OF A WANDERING MIND

Posted on August 30, 2019 at 12:05 AM Comments comments (0)

My mind has just been wandering around on a journey to no particular destination. However I am still on the King's way and before Him, I bow low! He is my God Who rules this eternal kingdom. So wherever I go, He is with me. This I know because He said so:

1) Deuteronomy 31:6-8 (AMP)

6 Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.”

Walking along this kingdom road, Holy Spirit reminds me of Jesus words while He walked the earthly paths speaking to all who would hear. Those who were hungry for things of the Spirit, were drawn to Him.

Is it not the same today? I recall when I was ready to hear Him, Holy Spirit led m to meet a friend at a small restaurant where I waited for my friend (we arranged to meet between our 2 cities) As I sat a woman came along and asked if she could sit with me? I said yes. She spoke about the Bible and invited me to a Bible Study. That was the beginning of my deeper walk with God. Bless that lady for being obedient to You Father.

John 14:16-17 The Passion Translation

And I will ask the Father and he will give you another Savior, the Holy Spirit of Truth, who will be to you a friend just like Me—and He will never leave you. The world won’t receive him because they can’t see him or know him. But you will know him intimately, because he will make his home in you and will live inside you.

2) Now I know I have Holy Spirit living in me.

Indeed, Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Holy Trinity, indwells me as an intimate friend. So as my mind wanders along this trail, I submit it to Holy Spirit guidance, so it’s not just aimless wandering, I just don’t know the destination yet.

My eyes behold a movement~ a breeze has disturbed the towel hanging, a blossom is swaying, an invisible softness is caressing my cheek. My mind identifies the Spirit’s breath of love reminding me that my God holds me as His precious child. Love is guiding my mind now.

God’s love is powerful, and is a weapon against evil. An evil germ has attacked my throat and sinuses. I reach out and grab the Words that fight evil. They are God’s Words about Jesus passage here  and its ultimate purpose ~ it was all for us. God loves us so much, He wants us to know Him and have a deep personal relationship with Him. His greatest gift to us was His Son Jesus; for He took upon Himself to pay all our sin debt. And we, upon accepting this marvelous present from Him, become cleansed from all our sin ~ it is gone from us and we are born anew, pure and free from the clutches of sin. We belong to God’s family now with His DNA.

The other part of this gift is the effects of sin can be erased as well. In the garden Adam and Eve were created free from any disease. Being reborn means we have a renewed body ~ like Adam’s. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and King, God’s Son, we have bodies that can accept the healing grace of God’s Word. He is not a man that He should lie:

Numbers 23:19  New King JV“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

By Jesus tortured body, death and resurrection, we were healed, and that healing grace flows down through the ages covering us.

3) We live in divine health

1 Peter 2:24 The Passion Translation (TPT)

24 He himself carried our sins [a] in his body on the cross [b] so that we would be dead to sin [c] and live for righteousness. Our instant healing flowed from his wounding. [d]

Footnotes: 1 Peter 2:24 This healing includes the body, soul, and emotions. It was fulfilled in two ways: first, by the healing ministry of Jesus, and second, by the blood of Christ’s wounds. See Matt. 8:16-17; Isa. 53:5.

Isaiah 53:5 But HE was wounded for our transgressions, HE was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrong doing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on HIM, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.

Wow! My mind wandering has hit the jack pot! This cruise through time has netted me a powerful truth! I have God Himself abiding in me ~ an eternal divine friend to lead me on my life trip. He brings me to Truth and salvation, healing and joy. I follow His ways, and my destination will be an everlasting home with Him. I like this mind wandering! I’ll have to try it again! Next time I invite you to come along with me.

BE A CAVER

Posted on August 19, 2019 at 3:40 AM Comments comments (0)

“Spelunkers” are those who choose to go down into the earth exploring caves. Many are untrained and for them it can be a hazardous sport. “Cavers” are those who have been trained in cave exploration, its dangers, its required skills, its necessary tools, etc. One facetious banner says “Cavers rescue spelunkers.”

So let’s look at the sport from a different perspective. One chooses to enter darkness, for once beyond the entrance, no light penetrates. Walking carefully, observing the tapering passages, the surprising waterways, crawling through narrow holes~ the excitement for some is in the dangers and challenges.

Life can be like a murky trip in a strange cave, because In life we find places of spiritual darkness. Temptations can look exciting, but the shadowy adventure into challenges bathed in gloom can hide deadly falls. In caves flashlights can help provide light. What is our light in spiritual places where no light exists? Pridefull thinking~we know the way, or just being unsure of our way, we can stumble into lies and destruction~stalagtites hanging down or stalamites rising up from the ground can be painful stumbling blocks.

In our spiritual cave we face similar challenges from the unlighted interior; without a light source our travels can become hazardous indeed.

For us illumination must be from our God, He is the indwelling Lord of all! Christ in us provides the light. I recall a previous blog where Jesus and I were on a ledge overlooking a garden as a dark shadow began crawling over it. Jesus asked me if I were willing to go down into the darkness for Him? It placed a heavy fear in my middle. I asked, “Will You go with me?” He smiled and said," I am always with you". Realizing this truth, I agreed to go. The advancing shadow was full of evil and wickedness, as well as vicious foes. But remember what the Word says,

1 John 4:4“New King James Version

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Jesus dwells in me with all His power. Trusting Him is the victors march. i will go anywhere He commands. Recalling Who is the Light in me I have no fear! See what Jesus says,

John 9:4-5 The Passion Translation (TPT)

4 While I am with you, it is daytime and we must do the works of God who sent me while the light shines. For there is coming a dark night when no one will be able to work.[a] 5 As long as I am with you my life is the light that pierces the world’s darkness.”

Just check the news programs and you will notice the darkness like an inky smoke covering the globe. One country is fighting another the world over. The hatred of Satan is infusing itself into many world governments. Laws are being put in place some instilling hatred, or coming against God’s laws; LGTB is insinuating its agenda every where now. Baby murder is world spread. Generations are being annihilated for selfish and greedy reasons. Yes the evil shadow is spreading.

Each of us with Jesus (when we have chosen Him as the King of our lives, thus now indwelling us,) are a light in the world. God has a plan for us, a path He set for us to follow, and He is the light upon our path

Psalm 18:11 New King James Version

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Psalm 18:28 The Passion Translation

God, all at once you turned on a floodlight for me! You are the revelation-light in my darkness, and in your brightness I can see the path ahead.

When we go into the darkness to carry Jesus message, it is crucial that we be “cavers” who are secure in the knowledge of whose we are, and that we carry the God of the Universe within as our source and power. My friends, if you are not convinced that Jesus is God and helps us in our life journey, then seek Him! Get to know Him. Ask Him to be Lord of your life. He will gladly lead you on the path out of the darkness and into the light of your destiny. Any battle can be won when we have Jesus fighting with us! We can carry His light into any cave's darkness to discover truth.

TRUST

Posted on August 16, 2019 at 3:50 AM Comments comments (0)

I'm remembering when the  kids were small. We were swimming and they were just learning. They were at the steps entering the pool and and I said "jump to me" as I held my arms out. They trusted me and I caught them. One time she didn't jump far enough and went under water before I could catch her. Of course, I was close enough to grab her up quickly.. Because we had already  built a trust relationship, she continued to jump to me.

We have that situation with God too. Our ability to trust God is of critical importance for us to live a peaceful and powerful life. My little ones knew I loved them and would not abandon them. Do you have any idea how much Father God loves us? I know some do, but if you do not, then how can you trust Him? How do you begin a new friendship? You arrange to spend time with that person so you can get to know them on a deeper level sharing ideas and getting to know their character. That;s the way we come to know God also.

Once you become acquainted with Who He truly is, You will  be aware of His faithfulness and His love for you. Begin by getting to know His Word in the Bible. Find a good Bible Study and a good church that teaches the Word. Ask God to lead you  to the place He has for you to learn and grow.

My friends, this will be the most exciting time in your  life! Connecting with God, I mean truly getting to know Him and how much He cares for you, is a joy filling time. As you continue to build your relationship, with Him, You can experience His help as you meet challenges in life. He doesn't promises to take them awy, but He does promise to walk through them with you. Some Scriptures that have held me close are:

Romans 8:28  (NIV)

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Psalm 138:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;

Isaiah 43:1 (AMP)

I have called you by name; you are Mine!

He promises to help us through our trials and storms; He will never abandon us. To us it may seem like He is not listening, but He is listening and working behind  the scenes for us. Trusting means we do not turn away from Him, but continue to trust Him to be faithful to His promises no matter what the circumstances look like. Our powerful God is not bound by worldly ways. Keep thanking Him for being faithful to His Word. Trust Him. He never fails us. That does not mean He aslways gives us what we want in our timimg, but He'll always give us what's best for us in His best timing. We are  called to trust!

IDENTITY THEFT

My friends, in case you are unaware, let me reveal a truth to you. We have an enemy, and our enemy  comes to lie, steal and destroy us.  We all must be aware of our chief enemy, for it is a cunning snake and hates us. No matter what is your history or how you grew up, know the enemy will use the things in Your life and mine that make us vulnerable to its malice. He most wants to steal our identity. So we must know beyond a doubt whose we are. I've pulled just two Scriptures of the many that show us our true identity.

Do you know who you are? I’ve been looking at a few Scriptures lately, and found beautiful words that reveal whose we truly are! . One example is:

Hebrews 10:12-16 (TPT)

12 But when this Priest [Jesus] had offered the one supreme sacrifice for sin for all time he sat down on a throne at the right hand of God, 13 waiting until all his whispering enemies are subdued and turn into his footstool.

14 And by his one perfect sacrifice He made us perfectly holy and complete for all time!

15 The Holy Spirit confirms this to us by this Scripture, for the Lord says,

16 “Afterwards, I will give them this covenant: I will embed my laws into their hearts and fasten my Word to their thoughts.”

Look at these verses. They say Jesus' perfect sacrifice for us on the cross made us holy and complete for all time. Yes, He paid off our sin debt freeing us and cleansing us of all sin.as we accept Jesus perfect gift and choose to follow His ways;  we are made holy and complete. Does that mean we never behave imperfectly or sin? No, it means our new nature is such that we want to live our life for Christ; if we do fall into temptation and sin, but we are truly sorry and repent, our sin is forgiven and forgotten. We go forward in our freshly renewed and cleansed state.

So look at verse 16: God promises to make a covenant with us. He will embed His laws into our hearts. That results in us loving God and His laws ~ thus we will be inclined to obey them. To help with that He fastens His Word in our thoughts, and His powerful Word will work on our mind, our will, and our emotions. His Word is so encouraging to any situation, that we will learn to trust God throughout any trial. He knows us completely and thus can help us when we seek Him out.

I’ll share a second one with you too. This one is so full it grabbed me from the first time I read it.

John 1:10-13 The Passion Translation (TPT)

10 He entered into the very world he created,

    yet the world was unaware.

11 He came to the very people he created—

to those who should have recognized him,

but they did not receive him.

12 But those who embraced him and took hold of his name

    were given authority to become

    the children of God!

Footnotes:

John 1:12 Or “those who are putting faith into his name.” To “lay hold of his name” means to believe all that he represents and put into practice what he taught in the power of his name.

13 He was not born by the joining of human parents

or from natural means, or by a man’s desire,

but he was born of God.

Footnotes:

This verse could be considered John’s version of the virgin birth of Christ. The Word (message) is now “humanized” (and become the messenger). or new birth of those who became “children of God” Once we accept Jesus as Lord of our life, we are transformed into God's kids with His DNA.

Here we are a couple of thousands of years later and we are able to see Jesus, the Son of God, Lord Almighty. We are so blessed! We know who He is, and we accept Him for who He is, and we revere Jesus as our Savior, the Son of God. So through our acceptance we become children of the Almighty. You and I are the beloved sons and daughters of God Himself!

Yes, we are each a child of God and He loves us as His kids. What a joy to be in His Presence! How reassuring to know He is with us, and He is always true to His promises. just remembering that causes my shoulders to relax. My friends, knowing who you are, I hope you will pursue a growing relationship with Him! No matter what trials you may have, never allow the enemy to cause you doubt about your Father and His mighty love for you. You belong to God! He knows your name!

                                                    Isaiah 43:1

I have called you by your name; you are Mine.

BECOME WHO YOU WERE CREATED TO BE

Going deeper with God. Diving in all the way into the deep discovering who I really am, and who I really am with God ~ knowing tests and trials are in that scenario. God is my Creator who put all potential in me. He placed a path in me to take me to the full realization of who I was made to become. Each day I follow His ways, His voice and grow more like Jesus. If you don’t get what I am saying, then let me start in a different place.

Eternity goes on and on, an ever-ready bunny never stopping, a center of the earth no one has ever reached. Eternity is where Heaven and hell are found. My pathway created in me by God ~ the way I choose to follow~ leads to my Father God and heaven. The unique thing to understanding is that Eternity is now. It’s the road in the kingdom that I walk along. I found the map in my Bible and follow it every day so I don’t get lost. Sometimes I find myself discouraged and sad, and my path can get blurred as I choose to go my own way; I end up in trouble. “Oh Lord! Help me,” I call out to God.

What’s really amazing is that He is there, just waiting for my cry; He comes and shows me the way back. It’s a wonderful thing about our relationship, He never fails me. Even when I mess up, so long as I repent of my sin, God forgives it and FORGETS IT. I am given a fresh start and continue on my journey. The longer I follow His path the less and less I am tempted to leave it.

Even forgiveness has become easier; when I think of what Jesus suffered for me to be forgiven, I can only feel humble and thankful. What a wonderful God, how loving He is. He has a plan and a purpose for my life, and He acts in my life to help that goal be achieved. How can I not succeed when He lives in me and directs my path?

See my friends, He will do all this for you too if you just ask. Once we accept Jesus as Lord of our lives, He will joyfully indwell you and help you become whom He created you to be. You have a purpose!  You start with a sinless fresh beginning and rejoice in your new freedom! You belong to God now having inherited His DNA. The devil no longer owns you; You are free! Jesus paid the price for you. You are now of the Family of God. Be thankful. Rejoice and LIVE as God planned for you.

DEEPER

Have you ever been really hungry? I mean like your stomach hurts? Your only thought is "FOOD! WHERE IS FOOD!!" That's been an image of, "I must have more,"  my spiritual hunger lately. It's like I need to go deeper into God. And so  what does that mean? My God connection is good, but sometimes life gets so demanding that my focused  time with the Lord gets cut short, and my spiritual tank gets depleted or empty. Just like my car doesn't run well or at all on an empty tank, neither do I.

It is then necessary for me to go get a fill up. Purposefully I begin to schedule my time with my  Lord each morning. It's an appointment I must keep, and I do. When I meet with Him I find He is right there waiting for me. I begin by praising Him, this most awesome God ~ the mighty Creator who loves us all so much! There is so much joy in this world He made for us~ flowers of many colors and scents; just today I smiled at the yellow and white columbine outside my window. Earlier this year the lovely smell of lilacs flowed through my open door. How about the skies showing off His majesty in vibrant reds, oranges, yellows at dawn and sunset. Or the double rainbow that created a colorful arc over the  eastern horizon. Observe the marvelous animals in all shapes and dressed in colorful patterns. Our God cannot be described in words; He is too magnificent!

Sometimes after praise and worship, I just sit and commune with Him in the atmosphere of His love. Then I bring up questions I have for Him and ask Him to show me Scriptures, or occasionally He will answer me in His quiet voice. This time spent with my God fills me and empowers me to live the day in His way. After years of meeting with Him almost every morning our connection is strong and I know my Lord and His character.

My friends, this is my way of staying connected. I encourage you to set up an appointment with God each day and faithfully keep it. The relationship that develops will become a joy and a staunch support for you!

WHAT IS GOD'S PERSPECTIVE?

Posted on July 26, 2019 at 1:05 AM Comments comments (1)

Looking down upon the earth from God's perspective in Heaven, what does He see? Perhaps He sees all, not just physical things. He sees the war being raged between His angels and the devil. There is a darkness creeping over the world where evil is pervasive ~ hatred, persecution, murder prevails here.

However, He also sees brightness where His children fearlessly spread the Word and pray. He has set up camps of His people who are dedicated to truth and love. They reach out and call forth His power to fight off the enemy.

I don't knoiw about you, but personally, I believe He must be preparing to return fairly soon. He said,

Matthew 16:1-5  (AMPC)

16 Now the Pharisees and Sadducees came up to Jesus, and they asked Him to show them a sign (spectacular miracle) from heaven [attesting His divine authority].

2 He replied to them, When it is evening you say, It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,

3 And in the morning, It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and has a gloomy and threatening look. You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.

4 A wicked and morally unfaithful generation craves a sign, but no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. Then He left them and went away.

Footnotes:

Matthew 16:1 Of the three major sects of Judaism of that day (Pharisees, Essenes, and Sadducees), the Sadducees were a small but influential group that philosophically denied the supernatural and gravitated instead toward political control of the people.

Matthew 16:4 The “sign of Jonah” points to Jesus in many ways. Jonah being thrown into the sea points to Christ’s death. Being swallowed by the fish for three days points to Christ’s burial. And being expelled from the fish speaks of Christ’s resurrection and triumph over death, which is the greatest “sign” God could ever give. The resurrected Jesus is the eternal sign that our sins are forgiven.

What are the signs of the times that you notice? I have definitely noticed how fast time is speeding? Then have you seen the evil that is being pushed all over the world? Not just the Middle East, but Europe, and our nation as well. Norway is in the business of taking kids from their parents? For what reasons? One infant was a pound under weight; threy called it abuse and took the infant from its mother. Another couple had 4 children removed, because they were home schooling their kids and teaching Christian values to them. We know many countries are persecuting Christians for their faith.

In many countries andd US as well, children and young adults are made slaves kidnapped into the  profitable sex trade. And all must notice the murdering of unborn babies is causing the death of millions of children every year. Seems it's being pushed as a woman's right to murder her child if she doesn't want it. It hurts my heart, and how that must wound God's heart too.

Unnatural sex is claimed as a "natural" behavior now. Even changing God-given sexual parts of bodies is condoned.

Is this what God's perspective sees as He views this beautiful earth He created for us? He even gave us a book of instructions on how to live happily on this earth. Of course, His enemy who was kicked out of heaven is attempting to mess up God's plan for us. Unfortunately, he's working hard with disceptive words and lying thus gaining many followers. He calls evil good and good evil convincing confused minds.

Is God sitting back and watching the battle froom an easy chair? Absolutely not. He'e working with those who know Him to guide and empower them in the fight. We have no clue as to all He is doing behind the scenes, but we know He is moving. From over 2000 years ago He has been setting up our victory.

My friends, please know that God even sent His Son Jesus to become a human being on our earth for two reasons. One was to show us how much God loves us. The second was to take on the punishment for our sins which actually removes our sin nature and we are reborn with a God-nature. This is His gift to us. If we choose to accept this gift (and it's there waiting for us to choose to take it) we become new creatures with new natures; we can develop a deep loving relationship with God.  It is a beautiful and rewarding life we are reborn into. You can simply ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life, and He will cleanse all your sins and guide you in your life journey.. You will never know another love so fathomless, intense, tender, and faithful.

God's perspective sees all. Come be a part of the light of the love of those who know Him and have a marvelous intimate relationship with Him. Be a light in the world! Spread the good news of our salvation! Invite others to be freed from satan's clutches,  join in God's army and fight the enemy!

FEAR OF THE LORD PART 2

Posted on July 19, 2019 at 5:25 AM Comments comments (0)

Oh Jesus for all the miracles You accomplished on earth, none even touches on Your greatness and power, Your authority over anything in this world, Your grace that flows to us as a gift of Your power. It was released at the cross and is the answer to every need we will ever have. It’s there waiting for our faith to access it. Jesus You are the answer to all our needs. My God, I bow down with my face to the ground. I am totally unworthy to be in Your Presence.

Reverence = respect, honor, awe = respect mixed with wonder

Lord, Lord! Can I have this intimate relationship with You and also have reverential awe of You? Holy Spirit, please teach me the answer here

I sit and reflect on the awesomeness of the mountains, the sound of the rushing waters, standing at the base of Wolf Creek Falls entranced by its raw power. Moving in a mighty storm wind I glory in the forceful breath of God, stagger at the lightening, and feel the booming crash of the thunder reverberate through my body, tremble at a forest fire!  He is indeed mighty!

My spirit, soul and body make up me. The soul is the mind, will, and emotions. The body brings information to the soul, and the soul transmits it to the spirit. Intimacy involves love. God is love. With which part of our being do we experience true love? The heart is what God looks at.

Matthew 5:8 (AMPC)

Blessed (happy, enviably fortunate, and spiritually prosperous—possessing the happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His grace, regardless of their outward conditions) are the pure in heart, for they shall see God!

The Message

“You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.

I believe this Scripture gives a clue as to why some people cannot believe in God. The heart and the mind must be open to choose God.

One must also know love.

Matthew 5:22

But I say to you that everyone who continues to be angry with his brother or harbors malice (enmity of heart) against him shall be liable to and unable to escape the punishment imposed

Looks like the heart involves feelings which is in the soulish realm. Yet since God is love, love is also a spiritual element. So it seems Love is bigger than just one element. Love is huge and encompasses everything surrounding God.

So I can have an intimate close relationship with You, my Lord, knowing and feeling Your love, sharing love with You, feeling Your love for me and in me. And Your love expands the universe including the universe of my inner spirit. So to answer my question, “Yes, I can share an intimate close, a togetherness, with You and also experience reverential awe for You.” The closer I am to You, the greater You become, and the more I understand about Your grandeur and Your glory!.

We are special to You, I know. You love the uniqueness You put in my creation; however, I also know You love all Your children uniquely, and we can each share a loving intimate relationship with You while holding You in reverential awe.

One brings together, the other separates. Only an Almighty God can put those two together successfully.

What do you think? Have you ever thought about these things?

WHAT IS FEAR OF THE LORD? Part 1

Posted on July 15, 2019 at 1:30 AM Comments comments (0)

Scriptures talk about  'Fear of the Lord' . That is not necessarily fear 'be afraid of Him.' You see another definition is "reverential awe". So I asked myself, Do I have reverential awe of my God? Do I have fear of the Lord in my heart?   I have a close relatinship with God, but. . .

Lord help me. Do I have reverential awe of You, or have i gotten too familiar? Holy Spirit You are awesome and great, mighty with power, the fire in my bones. You love me, and when You told me that, it drew me to You like moth to a light. Since then, I feel Your love; know that indeed You do love me. I feel close to You.

And You, Father God, have loved me as Your daughter and I know that and love You as well. You are my Father and my God. I bow down at Your feet and place myself and my trust in You, my God, Who created the universe! You are so huge, so magnificent! Your glory fills the temple. Your power is fearsome! You speak in a still small voice so we can hear and comprehend and not be scared out of our wits by a booming sound.

Jesus, last I bow down to You, my Savior who made it possible to have a relationship with my God. You removed my sin nature; caused me to be a true child of Almighty God, with His DNA. Your love Jesus built us a beautiful world, then You entered into it by stepping down to become human, one of us, so we could really come to know our God. Jesus sometimes I see You as less great than the Father and the Holy Spirit, I repent of that false idea. For You are full of almighty love, power and grace.

Then I sit in my prayer closet in the quiet of my home, and His mighty power is contained in the moments of His Presence. Listen to Hebrews 1:3 describing Jesus:

Hebrews 1:3 The Passion Translation  The Son is the dazzling radiance of God’s splendor,[ the exact expression of God’s true nature—his mirror image! He holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of his spoken word. He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins, and then took his seat on the highest throne at the right hand of the majestic One.

Don't you think these are great Words of the Bible to describe Jesus who holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of His spoken word? He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins. Now He sits at the right hand of the Father.

Thank You my Jesus for making all joy possible!

CANOE RIDE WITH JESUS

Posted on July 3, 2019 at 4:35 AM Comments comments (1)

Jesus I want more walks with You. You walked along sandy beaches. I grew up around towering granite hewn cliffs. I’ve walked along the top through the woods and I’ve jumped into the blue waters flowing with sustained current beneath the surface.

My spirit calls out, "Take an early morning canoe ride with me Jesus?" He smiles agreement. The sky is barely awake and the lingering chill of night makes my jacket feel cozy and warm. We put the dew covered canoe in the water and grab the required cushion/life preserver pillows. The waters are still, a mirror reflecting the cliffs and trees. There is silence as the world sleeps; only sound is the water dripping off our paddles. “It’s good being alone with You in the silence, Lord, enjoying morning on the river” Peace reigns.

“Mary, morning stillness is where You most easily find Me. Yet it is in the business and confrontations of the day that you need my guidance most. When the struggle with the winds causes waves to threaten and the canoe to be blown off course, call on My hand and My voice to still the gales."  You are my protector, Jesus.

Mark 4:38-40 (NKJV)

38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow.

And they awoke Him and said to Him,

“Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”

39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind,

and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!”

And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful?

How is it that you have no faith?”

Sound of a motor breaks the air as a speed boat hurtles it’s way up river. Our blue heron flies gracefully out of the bay looking for breakfast. Sun sticks it’s eyebrows above the horizon. The day beckons with all it’s challenges and decisions that must be made. Thank You Jesus for Your promises!

Philippians 4:13 (AMP)

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything

and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me;

I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].

Winds and seas obey the sound of Your voice, Lord. All things are possible for/with You. Only faith is required.  For what do you need storm calming faith today? He is here waiting for us to speak.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Posted on June 23, 2019 at 4:35 AM Comments comments (0)

Thank You Lord for the things You do for us. Thank You for your wisdom and Your help in all the  blessings You  pour upon us every day. They add up to feelings of safety and security.

Trusting in God is such a calming state. God loves us so much and He’s always watching over us. God is working behind the scenes when we are unaware.

A friend shared a great story the other day. His shy son had one day called and said, “I’ve met her Dad, the woman I’m going to marry. Every morning I stop at Starbucks for coffee, and she always waits on me.“

“Really son? What’s her name“ ?

“Her name is Sue.”

“Do you have her phone number?”

“No Dad.”

“Are you going to ask her out?”

“Yes.”

Two weeks later shy Guy called again. Dad, she’s gone. She doesn’t work there anymore; and I never got her number.”

Now Guy had an older brother who worked in a hospital. His wife also worked there. A new lady had been hired, and they became acquainted. One day feeling sad for his brother who lost a potential great life partner, he invited the new acquaintance to double on a blind date with his brother and he and his wife, the four would go out together. A date was set.

When the time came for introducing the two on the blind date, they were shocked, because Guy’s blind date was Sue from Starbucks. It seems Sue had liked Guy also, and the other baristas would send Sue to wait on Guy when he came in.

Guy and Sue are now happily married! Can you see God’s hand in weaving this relationship together? Trusting God is such a right place to be. My own story told a few years ago had an intricate weaving of “coincidences” to bring my best friend, playmate, and husband and I together. With God's help our relationship will soon reach the 53rd year.

Our God is faithful! You can trust Him.

SECRET: BALANCING GRACE AND FAITH

Andrew Wommack    "Living in the Balance of Grace and Faith"                                                       (Go to his website and get the full training free! www.AWMI.net)

Amazing!

Ephesians 2:5-9

He  made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

1 Corinthians 14:18, 15:9-10

18 For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Paul says, 'I am not worthy to be called an apostle, but by the GRACE of God I am what I am. . .' but I labored with the grace of God.   We cooperate, work with God's grace to us, and we become who God created us to be. God works in us.

The GRACE of God is manifested (Brought into action) by our belief. Every person has God’s GRACE, but we must reach out and appropriate it = that’s faith

FAITH is our positive response to what God has provided by Grace

Isaiah 14:24

The Lord Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will happen.

Psalm 139:12-16 (AMP)
Even the darkness is not dark to You and conceals nothing from You,
 But the night shines as bright as the day;
Darkness and light are alike to You.

13
For You formed my innermost parts;
You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.
14
I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
 Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well. You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.

God had a purpose for our lives before we were even born, but we have to choose to make it happen, we must respond in faith

Romans 10:9-10

9 And what is God’s “living message”? It is the revelation of faith for salvation, which is the message that we preach. For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will experience salvation. 10 The heart that believes in him receives the gift of the righteousness of God—and then the mouth gives thanks to salvation.

GRACE is God’s part and is given independent of us; it is unmerited, undeserved favor

John 1:16 The Passion Translation (TPT)       16 And now out of His fullness we are fulfilled!
And from Him we receive grace heaped upon more grace!

Grace came by Jesus before we existed, unearned, undeserved. We are saved by grace through Faith. Now FAITH is not what I do to influence God; rather it is a positive response to what God has already done by GRACE. I must respond, accept,  what He’s already provided.

Titus 2:11 (NIV) For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.

1 Peter 2:2-4 The Passion Translation (TPT)

2 In the same way that nursing infants cry for milk, you must intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. For this “milk” will cause you to grow into maturity, fully nourished and strong for life — 3 especially now that you have had a taste of the goodness of the Lord Jehovah and have experienced his kindness.

4 So keep coming to him who is the Living Stone — though he was rejected and discarded by men but chosen by God and is priceless in God’s sight.

Footnotes:

1 Peter 2:2 Implied by the Greek word for “spiritual” (logikos), which seems to be a play on words with what Peter says in 1:23–25 concerning the living Word (logos) of God. The “pure spiritual milk” is the sustaining power of God’s Word coming from his very breast, as it were, to nourish and strengthen our inner being. From v. 3 we can see that this “milk” is the Lord himself dispensed to us in the Word of God. Our craving for this “milk” is not only because of necessity but of delight. He is the Seed, the Word, the Milk, the Lord, and the Living Stone.

1 Peter 2:2 As translated from the Aramaic. The Greek is “grow into salvation.”

1 Peter 2:3 See Ps. 34:8; Luke 1:53.

1 Peter 2:4 The church is built on Christ, “the Living Stone.” See Ps. 118:22; Isa. 28:16.

God by grace antiseptically erases every sickness, wound, disease~ Jesus already provided by the cross in His body (He took it on) Healing grace is already provided.

1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV)

24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you WERE healed.

Don't speak to God about your mountain, rather speak to your mountain about your God! You have already been healed by grace! Reach out and receive it.

James 4:7 The Passion Translation (TPT)    So then, surrender to God. Stand up to the devil and resist him and he will turn and run away from you.

Proverbs 18:20 (NKJV) A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth;
From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.

Mark 11:23-24 The Passion Translation (TPT)

23 Listen to the truth I speak to you: If someone says to this mountain with great faith and having no doubt, ‘Mountain, be lifted up and thrown into the midst of the sea, and believes that what he says will happen, it will be done. 24 This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer—believe that you have received it and it will be yours.  (The grace is there. Believing is our act of faith that manifests the grace.)

Footnotes:

Mark 11:23 The Aramaic word for doubt means “to be divided (undecided) in your heart.”

Mark 11:23 The mountain and the sea can also be metaphors. Mountains in the Bible can refer to kingdoms, and the sea represents the nations (e.g., “sea of humanity”;). Faith lifts up and brings with us the “mountain” of God’s kingdom realm when we go into the nations. The Greek word for mountain, oros, is related to a verb that means “to lift up and carry off and take with you.”

This truth Jesus brings us is more than hyperbole (exaggerated statements or claims, not meant to be taken literally); it is the active power of faith to take and carry the power and authority of the mountain—God’s kingdom realm—within us wherever we go

Reach out believing and take what God has already purchased for us with GRACE! It's already been paid for!

FEAR OF THE LORD ?

Posted on June 1, 2019 at 2:20 AM Comments comments (0)

As I was studying my Bible  the other day, it seems the words "Fear of the Lord" have brought a lot of confusion. I began meditating on the term, and In my dictionary search I found:a definition of "fear" as   "reverential awe". That helped a great deal, for then "fear of the Lord" did not mean "be afraid of God", rather we must hiold Him in "REVERENTIAL AWE"

My thoughts continued~ I have a close relationship with God, but do I have fear of the Lord? I prayed, "Lord help me. Do I have reverential awe of You, or have i gotten too familiar? Holy Spirit You are awesome and great, mighty with power, the fire in my bones. You love me, and when You told me that, it drew me to You like moth to a flame. Since then, I feel Your love; know that indeed You do love me. I feel so close to You.

And You, Father God, have loved me as Your daughter and I have known that for most of my life, and love You as well.

Jesus, last I bow down to You, my Savior, who made it possible to have a relationship with my God. For You are full of power and grace. My God, I bow down with my face to the floor. I am totally unworthy to be in Your Presence.

Reverence = respect, honor, awe = respect mixed with wonder I sit and look at the awesomeness of the mountains, the sound of the rushing waters, the power of a water fall. I stand in the mighty wind; stagger at the lightening, and feel the booming crash of the thunder reverberate through my body. He is indeed mighty!

Great Words of the Bible to describe Jesus who holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of His spoken word. He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins. Now He sits at the right hand of the Father.

Oh Jesus for all the miracles You accomplished on earth, none even touches on Your greatness and power, Your authority over anything in this world. Your grace that flows to us is a gift of Your power; It was released at the cross and is the answer to every need we will ever have. It’s there waiting for our faith to access it. Jesus You are the answer to all our needs; I worship You for Your power and glory, Your tenderness and loving kindness.

Lord, Lord! Can I have this intimate relationship with You and also have reverential awe of You? Holy Spirit, please teach me the answer here. My spirit, soul and body, that is me. The soul is the mind, will, and emotions. The body brings information to the soul, and the soul transmits it to the spirit. Intimacy involves love. God is love. With which part of our being do we experience true love? Our heart is what God looks at ~ is it soft in love or hard in resentment?

Matthew 5:8 (AMPC)

Blessed (happy, enviably fortunate, and spiritually prosperous—possessing the happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His grace, regardless of their outward conditions) are the pure in heart, for they shall see God!

The Message

“You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.

Matthew5:22 But I say to you that everyone who continues to be angry with his brother or harbors malice (enmity of heart) against him shall be liable to and unable to escape the punishment imposed

So to answer my question, “Yes, I can share an intimate close togetherness with You and also experience reverential awe for You.” The closer I am to You, the greater You become, for the more I understand about You.

I am special to You, I know. You love the uniqueness You put in my creation; however, I also know You love all Your children uniquely, and we can each share a loving intimate relationship with You while holding You in reverential awe.

One brings together, the other separates. Only an Almighty God can put those two together successfully.

LET THE WINDS BLOW

Doesn’t it feel splendid to be inside on a cold windy night? Listen to the wind howl around like a hungry frustrated nocturnal creature! As a child it became a monster in the darkness. Windows rattled, wind borne objects crashed down as bumps in the night. Trees bent low, sometimes branches loudly crack off to become morning obstructions in the road.

Yet here I cuddle comfortably in my blanket absorbed in my book, not totally oblivious to the maelstrom outside, but thankful for the warmth and shelter of my sanctuary. i heard a song the other day by Scott Krippayne; ”Sometimes He holds us close, lets the wind and waves go wild, “Sometimes He calms the storm; other times He calms His child.” I love it! God is my strong tower in the. storms of life.

Have you noticed how swiftly the months are blowing off the calendar ~ sorta like the winds are grabbing each page and ripping away the time. I actually am recalling a number of years past when we moved my Dad from Alabama to Denver. His Parkinson’s Disease had worsened. Being so far away became a dichotomy. On one hand the distance isolated me from the every day pain of watching him deteriorate; on the other hand, I worried about him. So the ‘insulation’ needed to be pulled off, other issues be faced, and true feelings exposed. We all had to deal with the loss. Seeing my Daddy as a healthy and strong rock to lean on, then having to face the results of the disease. . . was difficult.

Yet now as the years rush by, awareness opens my eyes to the reality that i can no longer qualify for the Olympics (LOL) The years are hurrying by, and as another wrinkle is noticed, energy is not the same. But there are still challenges I meet with strength and wisdom, and places where I can make a difference. So my eyes look up to enjoy the sunrises, the stars at night and all the beauty each day brings, and my mouth declares, “Let the wind blow”’.

I actually enjoy being out on a windy day, letting it rush through my hair feeling the power of God therein. It blasts the cobwebs out of my mind and leaves a freshness! I shout out “Remember where my strength comes from!”, and “Fear not, for there is nothing to fear!”. I like to lecture myself. Do you do that too?

My dear friends, as this day beckons me forth to a new task,  may your spirit dance like leaves in the wind!  I wish you Joy and Blessings!

GREEN GREEN SPRING

Greenest of green greeted me as I awoke that first morning in Alabama. Forest of trees are all around. The house had an excellent screened in porch where we enjoyed breakfast amidst birdsong each morning. One mockingbird greeted my friend with “judyjudyjudy” repeatedly. A lovely peaceful world to break from the hilarity of life. Breathe deeply and relax.

Then it was back to Denver where the semi-desert region lacked the lush green. However, Spring is just beginning and after it finally wins the battle with winter, we will have warm sunny days as it unfolds; then softly flowing breezes will caress my face as I walk and warm sunshine fill my heart with its light and love. It reminds me of my Lord with His gentle strength. My heart rejoices as I delight in the trees dressed in white and pink blossoms, and gardens coming alive again with red and yellow tulips, joyful daffodils, sweet smelling purple lilacs, pansies turning their vibrant faces to the sun. Spring! New life! However, tomorrow it will snow and temps will dip to near freezing; sadly, winter has not given up yet. So we can only be patient till the days of Spring's full victory.

You know I get so psyched waiting for Spring, that one day there is snow on the ground, I cry aghast “Christmas in May? No!” However, in reality, this is Colorado, and we do love it! Right? And there is something about rain and snow that refreshes and washes away the grime. We don’t get a lot of it here, so when it does come, it is refreshing, and we do need it. As I was driving down the street, I glanced at the mountains and they were green, green! Beautiful!

God is so good! He replenishes our souls with the things He knows we need. Each season brings His gifts for our enjoyment. Thank You loving Lord!

MOTHERS

Hurrah May! As Spring and  Summer ease in, out pops the roses and smiling daffodils and nourishing vegetables. It's also the month where we celebrate our mothers. Mothers are life giving! They are instruments through which God can pour the music of His love. I would hope each of you was blessed by a mother like ours. My Mom was such a woman, such a lover of God, my Dad, and us. Her life was dedicated to being a godly woman. . . memories are such fun~

Memories. . . I remember every evening before Dad got home from work, she would change out of her ‘housedress’ into a nicer dress and fix her hair… when they went out she smelled so yummy, looked so pretty ~ she always did her nails holding them out as she kissed us goodbye ~ because they were not quite dry. She made sure we were dressed right for school and church, she cooked great meals, and was aways ready to help us with problems. She would stay up past midnight to type a paper for us that was due the next day. She encouraged us not to be afraid to try any good interest. She made sure we knew God. She loved the Lord and tried to pass this on to us.

She was kind and loving, and the results of her labor are evident today as I look at my siblings. This day and age it is more difficult to do the same job, but the commitment she built into us has been evident. In this day and age moms often have to work outside the home, but their dedication to family and love covers us all. It keeps us busy, but we are willing to be soccor moms, PTA associates, volunteers, members of Bible Studies, play dates, etc. Our job is a big one!

Today to each Mother I say “congratulations!” May our loving Father God continue to pour His blessings upon you and your families. It is a primary job, a crucial one today!
