Once upon a time a little boy was walking down a small town street when a stranger asked him for directions. The little child had trouble directing the man, so he said he would take him there. Too small for discernment, the child got in the car with the man and off they went. Now this story could have many endings.
a. the boy was never seen again.
b. The boy was kidnapped and later found alive or . . .
c. The stranger thanked the boy for directions and let him out at the destination.
Which ending would you write? The mind of today would probably choose a. or b. It is the atmosphere of our present culture; the third ending is what happens in Jesus’ Kingdom~ the one we want to bring to our world, even though today we are much closer to the poisons of the Sodom and Gomorrah towns. Jesus Kingdom has a culture of true love for one another. What do you think it would take for us to get there?
Who can bring change to our world? The only answer is God. But He works through us, you and I. What can one person do?
Last night I saw a short production on Martin Luther King Jr. He changed our world. One man from a persecuted race who believed strong enough in freedom and righteousness went out and made a difference. He was not a perfect man, but God used him in a mighty way.
Abraham Lincoln again was just one man who failed many times, but God used him to free a people. There are many such individuals that you could name, perhaps not so famous, but used of God for divine purposes. Do you know of John G. Lake? Read about his life; he trusted much and was a greatly anointed man of God.
So what about you and I? Do you want to be used of God to bring Jesus’ Kingdom to the earth? Sometimes it’s just a one person at a time journey. Affect one life, and they affect one or two, and they each bring some into the Kingdom, and soon your one success has brought thousands to know the Lord planting gardens of love and grace into our culture.
The enemy is working hard to destroy Jesus’ Kingdom. Families are his biggest target! If he can sew division and offense into a marriage, he can rip families apart. Pray for families, especially if you know one that satan is trying to destroy. My friends, we can make a difference. Carry God’s love with you wherever you journey and share His Word abundantly. We are able!
Habakkuk 3:19 AMPC
The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]!
Living in the Kingdom directs our steps on His path, and the Holy Spirit is our guide. Tranquility settles within as we rest in Jesus. Fear not! God works in/with us. With Him we can be world changers one step at a time.
