His Commandment Is Love

This is a confusing time to be living, and therefore it’s a time to be trusting You all the more, Lord.

Exodus 33:13 (AMPC)
13 Now therefore, I pray You, if I have found favor in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You [progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with You, perceiving and recognizing and understanding more strongly and clearly] and that I may find favor in Your sight. And [Lord, do] consider that this nation is Your people.

I prostrate myself before Your throne, my God, giving my whole self to You. In me alone there is no worth, but with You in me there is nothing I cannot do. Come Holy Spirit, be active in me that I may progressively know You, hear Your words, and obey. You lead my life. Do all You want through me. Holy One I release my will to You, my mind, my mouth to You. I belong to You. You belong to me. Jesus, You have so generously given us Holy Spirit to be our mentor, guide, and counselor. Thank You. I love You Jesus.

Remember the song “Camelot”? Here's one stanza:
"I know it sounds a bit bizarre,
But in Camelot, Camelot
That's how conditions are.
The rain may never fall till after sundown.
By eight, the morning fog must disappear.
In short, there's simply not
A more congenial spot
For happily-ever-aftering than here
In Camelot.

Not too many years ago our country had that flavor. We were a strong and Godly nation where families were together. Neighbors often visited. Politics were never a separation in families and communities. We believed differently, but we were never bitterly opposed to the other party. We had a good system that worked well until this election. Now bitterness has caused division where there once was love. Do you remember when ours used to be a nation of “happily-ever-lftering”? It was always growing, changing, improving, blessed by God.

Jesus, Your second great commandment says we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. I lift up this nation and ask You to help us all to love each other. Your supernatural love in us is the only hope we have for unity to be restored, and nothing is impossible for You. I give this great country into Your hands, mighty God! I ask that all blinders be removed from people’s eyes, that Your truth will be revealed world wide.

Lord, I ask You to bless our President and keep him strong and safe, and surround his family with Your angels. Lord Please sort out this ugly work of the devil, the creator of hatred and chaos, the destroyer of peace and love; in Jesus name I ask. Amen.
