There You were Lord, my God, deciding to cast forth Your love like a fisherman casts out his net, but You brought forth creations of Your enormous love. Your boundless might created universes, and within our universe, You spoke forth Your word and made earth. Upon it You caused to come forth light.
Genesis 1:14 (AMP) Then God said, “Let there be light-bearers (sun, moon, stars) in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be useful for signs (tokens) [of God’s provident care], and for marking seasons, days, and years; 15 and let them be useful as lights in the expanse of the heavens to provide light on the earth”; and it was so, [just as He commanded].
16 God made the two great lights—the greater light (the sun) to rule the day, and the lesser light (the moon) to rule the night; He made the [galaxies of] stars also [that is, all the amazing wonders in the heavens]. 17 God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to provide light upon the earth, 18 to rule over the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good and He affirmed and sustained it.
And then You formed a beautiful world with flora and fauna to delight the soul. And You peopled it with creatures of wonder whom You smiled upon. You loved them and gave them a beautiful garden home.
Genesis 2:7 then the Lord God formed [that is, created the body of] man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit]. 8 And the Lord God planted a garden (oasis) in the east, in Eden (delight, land of happiness); and He put the man whom He had formed (created) there. 9 And [in that garden] the Lord God caused to grow from the ground every tree that is desirable and pleasing to the sight and good (suitable, pleasant) for food; the tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the [experiential] knowledge (recognition) of [the difference between] good and evil.
But alas, Your ancient enemy betrayer snuck into the garden as a serpent and lied and deceived the man of Your heart. Satan caused him to disobey and betray the love You had poured upon him. Sadly, first man (and woman) were driven out of this garden paradise and the guilt of his betrayal tainted his very blood. Satan laughed and rejoiced at this strike against God.
As mankind reproduced, the tainted blood carried the betrayal subjecting mankind to the continual taunting, temptations and evil of the devil. But God had a plan to redeem His beloved people. Since a man broke faith with God, it was a God-man that was required to redeem the human race. God loved His people so much he sent Jesus, His beloved Son, to earth for the task. Lovingly Jesus traded His place in heaven for that of a human being on earth. Jesus was eager to begin His mission, but He was held back to grow in wisdom and learn until at age thirty His public ministry began.
Jesus chose 12 men to help Him and these men He taught and trained for three years. But He was such a threat to the evil hierarchy that even though He was totally innocent, they captured, tortured and crucified Jesus. Innocent Jesus in pure love for us subjected Himself, God-man, to this torture and death to pay for our redemption. Then in three days He rose from the dead overcoming satan’s evil completely; yes He even defeated death. When we accept the gift~ that Jesus paid our sin debt for us by His shed blood~ we are reborn as children of God. Our whole DNA changes and we become new creatures, true children of our Heavenly Father. We once again belong to Him, and all heaven rejoices over us.
2 Corinthians 5:17 AMP
Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].
But Jesus was not done. He promised to send the Third Person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, to all who believe and trust in Him. When we invite Him in, our loving Holy Spirit dwells within us to help us become whom our Creator made us to be. He continues Christ’s mission of teaching us more about our Father and the loving relationship we can have with Him, and much more. He works with us individually with whatever we need to become full of the love God pours out to us.
John 14:16-17 (AMP)
Role of the Spirit
16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.
My friends, God put a potential, a mission within each of us, and then He sends Holy Spirit to help us so we can attain the purpose that He installed within us. This enormous love for us is beyond our ability to understand, but we get clues to it from the Word of God.
The Bible is a love story of God for His people. Many things that happen in the Bible are beyond our ability to fully understand. Somethings we, in our human limitations, would not judge as love, but God’s thoughts are so far above ours that it is no wonder we fail to see it. Just do not make the mistake of putting God in some kind of box where you get to judge Him. Then He would not be God. Would you be judged by an ant? a mosquito? Just know He loves you. He is faithful, and He is trustworthy.
It seems incredible to me that The Creator of the universe would care for me. I am like an ant in an ant hill. But my God knows me as an individual, my likes, my strengths, my dislikes, my weaknesses; He knows my heart. I can hide nothing from Him. He loves me just as I am. He loves you that way too. Come experience the wonder of a warm personal love relationship with the Creator of the universe! Choose to accept Jesus' gift to you!
