Growing Roman's Way

Holy Spirit, You are my indwelling Lord! Lead me this morning, my Lord.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 AMP
Rejoice always and delight in your faith;
be unceasing and persistent in prayer;
in every situation [no matter what the circumstances]
be thankful and continually give thanks to God;
for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.

“Rejoice and delight in your faith”, it says. I know ‘delight’ Lord. I have delighted in You. Why can I not sustain delight? Because the enemy works so hard to bring distress rather than delight. When I focus on You, the delight returns, because I know that I can trust You.

And You tell me You are always with me. When I listen to You, You guide me right. It’s when I allow the flesh to take over that I make stupid decisions. I repent of the bad decisions I have made when I did not listen to You. I give my repentance to You and ask for forgiveness for not listening to Your voice.

Now Lord I shall not dwell on the past, but I move forward into the future with You, opening my mind up to You alone. I shall rejoice in You and delight in my faith! I shall be unceasing in prayer. Keep me close to You as You are to me Holy Spirit. Thank You for watching over me, for healing me.

I repent that I allow negative fear thoughts to cross my mind at night. I give them to You, and trust You to take care of those situations! I fully trust in You to take care of me.

Psalm 22:26 ,31
Those who [diligently] seek Him and require Him
[as their greatest need] will praise the Lord.
May your hearts live forever!

31 They will come and declare His righteousness.
To a people yet to be born—
that He has done it [and that it is finished].

Verse 31 is speaking to you and me. Jesus, You died that we might live. As for me, I choose life. I bow down in deep thanksgiving for what You did for me. So much!! Help me spread Your Word that more may be saved. Let my life have meaning by You doing Your work through me. I give You this body and soul as Your tools for saving my sisters and brothers around the world. Speak through my mouth. Write through my pen. Open our ears to hear Your heart.

Romans 12:1-2 (MSG)
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you:
Take your everyday, ordinary life—
your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—
and place it before God as an offering.
Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.

          Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture
that you fit into it without even thinking.
Instead, fix your attention on God.
You’ll be changed from the inside out.
Readily recognize what he wants from you,
and quickly respond to it.

                                  Unlike the culture around you,
always dragging you down to its
level of immaturity,
God brings the best out of you,
develops well-formed maturity in you.

My friends, embrace all that God does for you. Seek Him in your everyday, fixing attention on knowing Him more and more. He will bring out the best in you helping you fulfill all the potential He has created in you.

Thank You Lord for the work You do in us! As we grow through Your teaching, Holy Spirit, keep a fire burning in our hearts, a passion for what burns in Your heart!
