Fear Not! The Victory Is Always Ours!

John 16:33 AMP
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished,
My victory abiding.]

What a great Scripture to start out the new year~ a future that could contain much struggle; but we have Jesus promising that we can face anything with courage and peace, because He came; He conquered; and that overcoming strength is in us always. He will never leave us!

Matthew 28:20
and lo, I am with you always
[remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance,
and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.”

Hebrews 13:5 (AMP)
. . . for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you
[nor give you up nor leave you without support,
nor will I in any degree leave you helpless],
nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you
[assuredly not]!”

The enemy has set its conquering forces to bring evil into every area. But we have the hand of God Himself to defend goodness and righteousness. We begin in a place of dominance, and what a great position to be in; Jesus' promises are true and He is faithful to them; we can depend on them. God does not sit back as an observer, but is ever active on our behalf. We cannot always see this, because our vision is so short. God’s got it planned all the way to eternity, and there is a good purpose for all things:

Romans 8:28 (AMP)
And we know [with great confidence] that God
[who is deeply concerned about us]
causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good
for those who love God,
to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.

If we trust our Almighty God, believe His Word, and know His character, then we know that when we pray with our hearts, He hears, He listens, and He responds; however, one thing that also must be remembered is that His timing is not our timing. We want NOW what we pray for, but God’s purpose may be to answer it later as part of His plan.

Isaiah 55:8-10 (AMP)
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts higher than your thoughts.

We stand on the wall as watchmen and warriors, strong and courageous; and with Almighty God on our side, we can defeat the enemy, and God has the strategy for it. We just grab hold of our Savior and never let go! We listen for the Holy Spirit’s instructions and obey them. That is our part in the battle.

Nehemiah 7:3  (AMP)
I said to them, “Do not let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot; and while the watchmen are still standing guard, have them shut and bar the doors. Appoint guards from the residents of Jerusalem, each at his post [on the wall], and each in front of his own house.”

Stand strong, my friends; be steadfast with Christ as our foundation,
obey, and we are guaranteed the victory!
