Ephesians 5:8-10 (MSG)
You groped your way through that murk once, but no longer.
You’re out in the open now. The bright light of Christ makes your way plain.
So no more stumbling around. Get on with it! The good, the right, the true—
these are the actions appropriate for daylight hours.
Figure out what will please Christ, and then do it.
This Scripture grabbed my heart as I read it. He has placed truth in you and me. It’s fact I am no longer groping around in the dark or in a fog. Over the weekend I enjoyed wonderful grilled foods and salty chips and desserts. I can tell by the scale in my bathroom, these foods became a part of my body. In like manner when I feast on the Word of God, it too grows me~ in my spirit.
Have you ever felt confused, not sure of the way to go? The answer is inside of us. This Scripture shows the bright light of Christ makes our way plain. Holy Spirit dwells inside of us; He lives in our spirit just waiting for us to ask for His help~ He is a gentleman and will not just jump in. But when we ask~
Straight up shot her arm. This was a friend who I’d been taking to physical therapy for a frozen shoulder. She had made some progress, but still could not raise her arm more than part way up. Now suddenly that arm had no problem reaching high and straight up. She invited me to attend a service the next night.
As my husband and I entered the sanctuary, I could feel the peace of God. The service began with much praise and worship of Jesus, and Holy Spirit was welcomed; His Presence was felt. The evangelist was a tall well dressed man whose strong voice joined in the worship. Early on he pointed at my husband and said, “the Lord has something for you tonight”; and later he stood before him as words of knowledge poured out and then he prophesied over my husband.
A young girl born almost deaf was prayed over and the spirit of deafness cast out. They removed her hearing aids and the evangelist stood behind her about 10 feet and called her name in a normal tone, and the girl turned around to him. We watched swelling in an older woman’s feet go down. There were more. Never having been a witness before to miracles, my mind was a little skeptical. So in my quiet time the next morning I asked the Lord about it and He impressed me to return that afternoon to the service.
This time we took our daughter, and the evangelist chose our daughter as one to address. Again he spoke words of knowledge and prophesied over her. More healings occurred and he spoke about the Holy Spirit (his anointing was to teach about Holy Spirit.) It was a powerful time. Yet, I felt like my place there was as an observer.
Next morning in quiet time when I asked Holy Spirit about the whole experience, He told me “I sent you there to observe, for I wanted You to see with Your own eyes that I am still working on earth through my servants that you might believe fully in your heart. I have work for you to do, Mary. Be ready. Hear my call. Believe.”
So do you believe God is still doing miracles on the earth? Have you seen one?
