Depression Can Be Only A Season

Tears ran down my face. I had 3 small children all born in 27 months. It all came clanging down on this day. Dirty diapers, all day long. Quarreling, crying, no peace. Depression set in. My future felt like day after day of dirty diapers and chaos.

It was then the Lord gave me the Word: Seasons. Not only are they found in the weather, but they exist in life also, and this season will not last forever. It will end and a new season begin.

Hope. I could feel a glimmer of hope. Oh God, thank You. You are with me. I can do this. Such a minor issue of life, but to me today, monumental. Father how do you do it? You always know when I need You and what it is that I require to restore my peace. I ask You to help me bring an atmosphere of Your love to my home today!

2 Corinthians 3:17–18 (Amp.)
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom). (18) And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another;
[for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

There are many Moms out there who are going through the same feelings. Remember and know that a loving Father God is there and a few minutes spent with Him can reveal sunshine to brighten any storm clouded day.

Time has flown and many more storms of various sizes and varieties have come and gone, and miraculously all the children have grown to be happy adults. We are all now friends, and it has been worth the journey, no matter the thunderous situations that sprang up along the way. So take heart; be strong to face the enemy’s blockages and deceptions. Develop and maintain a close relationship with our loving Father; He has all the answers. Trust in Him!

 Proverbs 3:5 (NKJV)
 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
