Woke up the other morning feeling challenged, weak, attacked by negatives like there were little mites covering my mind weakening it with a trails of negative slime as they went. Thankfully, when I awake with a dissenting spirit, I’ve learned to go to God who is my strength. First I asked Holy Spirit to wipe the bugs off my mind; then Holy Spirit took me to Scriptures. He began with one showing me the righteousness of God and His faithfulness to His promises:
Galatians 3:18 (AMP)
For if the inheritance [of the promise depends on observing] the Law
[as these false teachers would like you to believe],
it no longer [depends] on the promise; however,
God gave it to Abraham [as a free gift solely]
by virtue of His promise.
Next Holy Spirit led me to Scriptures of strength to build brick upon brick of my High Tower:
Deuteronomy 6:4-6 (NKJV)
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!
5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, and with all your strength.
6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.
Joshua 10:25 (NIV)
25 Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
Be strong and courageous.
This is what the Lord will do to all the enemies
you are going to fight.”
You, my Lord, fight my battles with me and for me. You come against the enemy attacks, and bring me away safely.
Psalm 18:2 [AMP] The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer;
my God, my keen and firm Strength in Whom I will trust and take refuge,
my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower.
Lord, You are always willing to help me when I come to You! You have never failed me. So long as I worship You alone, lean on You and trust in You, I need never fear~
Psalm 27:1-3 (NKJV)
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
Lord, You are my strength and You never leave me, for Your Holy Spirit indwells me; thus I am strong and always go in the right direction because Holy Spirit is my guide in life!
1 Corinthians 1:7-9 (NLV)
7 You have the gifts of the Holy Spirit that you need while you wait for
the Lord Jesus Christ to come again. 8 Christ will keep you strong
until He comes again. No blame will be held against you.
9 God is faithful. He chose you to be joined together with His Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:7-9 (MSG)
7-9 Just think—you don’t need a thing, you’ve got it all! All God’s gifts
are right in front of you as you wait expectantly for our Master Jesus to arrive on the scene for the Finale. And not only that, but God himself is right alongside to keep you steady and on track until things are all wrapped up by Jesus.
God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of his Son and our Master Jesus.
He will never give up on you. Never forget that.
1 Corinthians 1:8-9 (AMP)
8 And He will establish you to the end
[keep you steadfast, give you strength, and guarantee your vindication;
He will be your warrant against all accusation or indictment
so that you will be] guiltless and irreproachable
in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).
9 God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise,
and He can be depended on); by Him you were called into companionship
and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
There is no need to fear anything, for when the great God, Creator of the Universe, dwells within me [and you], what have we to fear indeed! Trust in, lean on, rely on mighty God!
Now there are no more negative mites crawling over my mind; it is cleansed and greatly strengthened by the rebars of the Word embedded within it.
How do you keep negative bugs out of your mind?
