I’ve always been drawn by the wind. . . to stand facing into the breath of God. Blow wind, blow! It’s true, I have been drawn to the wind especially when it blows forcefully. Now I’m not talking hurricane force or tornado force; but facing a good strong wind feels like it blows all the debris out of my mind, freeing me of tethers that bind me to the earth. Fly away on the winds of the Spirit.
Holy Spirit, breath of God, blow away all fears, all negatives, all garbage the enemy tries to use to ensnare my thoughts. Holy Spirit blow into me Your ways, Your thoughts, Your plans. Let me be a balloon that Your breath expands ever more until i become more You than me. Form me, enlarge me, send me. Holy Spirit free me from the ropes that have bound me to untrue past ways of thinking; I choose to step out in courage and follow Your path even when it is unclear and I just must trust in You.
You love me Holy Spirit. You are a person, the Third Person of the Holy Trinity, and like the Father and Jesus You love me personally; You smile at me and cherish me. You guide me and teach me; You remind me of what Jesus said and of His ways. You help me be all I can be, fulfilling the potential the Father weaved into me in my mother’s womb.
You are my finisher~ like the last step the potter makes in His creations, or the carpenter makes in the works of his hands. You indwell me living Your life in me; I give You my body that Your life may be lived in me. I give You my soul, that I may be subject to Your will in all things; I give You my heart that Your love can pour though me to every person You designate, to all whom You bring across my path.
I feel You moving in me Holy One. . . an expectation of something greater growing in me. There’s an excitement stirring. Oh Holy Spirit, I love living my life with You! I bow down to You!
