December 31, 2014 Last day of 2014. The year has come to an end, never more to be seen. It’s the last morning I shall ever write 2014 as my daily date. Now the new begins, and Lord You are doing a new thing. . .
Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 AMP
Thus says the Lord, Who makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters, Do not [earnestly] remember the former things; neither consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
You make a path through the mighty waters. The past of roaring oceans and chaos of flooding rivers does not make the future. You do, if we listen to You. We focus not on the former things, but put them behind us. For our God is doing a new thing! He does the impossible. He has a new vision for us. Can you see it? Now it springs forth, now with the new year, a new beginning. He is going to make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
If 2014 was not a good year, remember it ends tonight at midnight. Tomorrow is a new day, a new year. Write down your vision for this new year; talk to God about it. What do You see?
I see a path through a foggy wood containing myriads of lightening bugs glowing. I’m walking forward with anticipation, but carefully. It has a bit of an eerie atmosphere, but one of welcome as well; it sure is different and I am cautious. The fog hides clarity but the path is still there; it’s as though my inner senses perceive it. Lord, this is different indeed, something new. I’m just putting one foot in front of the other, and I’m glad the path is there, because I do not want to move carelessly or without Your purpose.
This wood is like a fairy tale having the same unreality, but truth hides here as well. It is the new year, and You Lord are doing a new thing. I cannot see far because of the white mist, but Your path is still in place. I’m drawn forward to walk Your ways, and I’m sure as 2015 continues more clarity will be revealed. What I’ve learned is to trust You Lord; You always lead me in ways that are right and good for me.
I enter the new year with expectation and with joy, for I know the Lord has a good plan for my life, and I trust Him.
Jeremiah 29:11Amplified Bible (AMP)
11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
What new thing is God planning for you in 2015? If you seek to know Him deeper, then good will be your New Year. Worship Him as He deserves. Make God your primary search this new year~
Matthew 6:32-34 (NIV)
32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
God's promise comes with a condition: seek first God’s heart!
