strength sapping enemy

I knew a young woman who was healed of a serious disease and all rejoiced! She is healed!! Yet, after weeks she was still weak. It’s like there was a spirit of weakness upon her sapping her energy like water through a straw draining her body's life spirit. Limping slowly and looking downcast,  she has been healed of a deadly disease, yet her strength is missing. Why?

Then I came across a book by Ms Cornella Nuzman called The Life of Faith, and insight began to build.

The Word promises in Philippians 4 that God supplies all our needs. All curses went down into the grave with Jesus. His Word heals. Weakness and infirmity is a  curse. How do we get healing? By repentance, obedience, and belief (faith). How do we regain strength? The same way knowing and believing as God’s Word says ‘all curses were taken away by Jesus death’ and resurrection:

Galatians 3:13-14
Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life
by absorbing it completely into himself.
Do you remember the Scripture that says, "Cursed is everyone who
hangs on a tree"? That is what happened when
Jesus was nailed to the cross: He became a curse, absorbing all curses into Himself
and at the same time dissolved the curse.the curse Adam brought to the human race by his betrayal of You, my God. You, Jesus, absorbed the curse into Yourself freeing us from it. You took them to the grave destroying the curses. We accept Your gift of freedom from all curses!

Strength is regained by faith too. Jesus longs to see us avail ourselves of what His suffering purchased for us. In her book Mrs. Cornella Nuzman speaks to this problem according to the Word of God:

Psalm 29:11 says, “The Lord will give strength unto His people.
“The people that know their God shall be strong.”
Isaiah 27:5 says, “Let him take hold of My strength,” and
Acts 3:16 says faith in the name of Jesus made a man strong that had never been strong before in his life.

Christ delivered us from weakness at the same time He delivered us from sin. Again and again in the Bible we are commanded to “be strong.” Another verse says, “The people that know their God shall be strong.

Isaiah 27:5 says, “Let him take hold of My strength,” and
Acts 3:16 says faith in the name of Jesus made a man strong that had never been strong before in his life. That man came to know God, and took the strength of God—not natural strength, but God’s strength—and he got it by faith.

Just as the body has a hand of flesh that lays hold of material things, takes and holds fast to them, even so the spirit has a hand of faith that takes hold of the things God offers and holds fast to them.

She goes on to explain that our hand of flesh feels what it is holding; but the hand of faith doesn’t depend on our senses, rather it depends upon what the Word of God says, and it says we can take it and have it.. . and believe ‘I did take it, and therefore I do have it, even though I cannot see, feel, or find it as yet.’
So we must think, believe and confess with our mouth that we have it.

Joel 3:10 says, “Let the weak say, I am strong.”

Jesus died for it! How can we not take it? Strength is ours for the taking. Do you believe?
