Fighting the Ancient Battle

Ache in my back. After 8 hours of standing and talking to people a dull pain began growing in my back. It drained energy away and I had to sit down. Still 3 more hours to go. Mentally, even more than physically, I could almost feel  strings of negativity being pulled like a puppet seeping strength away. Normally I have no back problems, but figured I must have pulled a muscle. It seemed to steal away my force to be the best I could be. Fought it much I could until thankfully dropping into bed with a heating pad for the night.

Next morning it was better, but by midday it returned. Our ancient enemy knows how to bring us down; however, this time I knew it was really a spiritual attack, and I recalled Paul’s “thorn in the flesh” and God’s response to him. “Where you are weak, I am strong” God will show His strength in our weakness. During this busy time where I thought too little about my Lord, He brought me a reminder. So I did what I knew to do: I called on Scripture reminding myself that “I am healed by Jesus’ stripes” and “My God is my Healer.” He is faithful to heal!!
New vigor grew in my spirit and my body!

There is no God like ours! He is the mighty Creator. This gloriously came in picture form as we got out of the car that night and looked up! Wow!

Blackness was filled with many teeny holes leaking out light from the glory of heaven. No city lights were near, so the darkness was nearly total allowing the jewels to shine brightly. We just stood there leaning against the car, heads back breathing in the beautiful starry sky above.

When was the last time God reminded you of His presence?
