Just so, my life is not some haphazard wandering. It has an intentional goal bred into its DNA by Creator God! Jeremiah 29:11 says it’s a good goal:
Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP)
For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you,
says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace
and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
(MSG) I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you,
not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.
So I know, Father, everything I encounter in this life, be it positive or negative, will turn into a blessing that will increase my character and create inner beauty. It will do this because I give it to You to handle. Good will not cause a spirit of pride to rise in me; bad will be transformed into positive results by You. I cannot lose! You are an awesome Dad!!
To be totally truthful, there are times when my trust and careful thought is overlooked. . . like when a huge task was put on me that I did not want; my emotions became involved and my mind scattered into mindless fear, tension and depression. I know it’s part of human nature, but sleepless nights made for crabby days.
I talk a good line, but I am just as vulnerable as others to surprise traps set by the enemy. Have you recently found yourself vulnerable to his attacks?
