Being on the water in a boat is one of my favorite things; being on the water in a boat with my whole family is precious. Moving along the water in a place of beauty is true blessing. Sun warm, breeze cool, children laughing, family sharing as we experience the lovely creativity of our God. Kids and I find critters and story pictures in the ever changing white fluffy clouds floating in the blue sky, while the same clouds form paintings of reflection on the water catching something in my spirit. Lord, the reflections are not the clouds, but they have a beauty none the less; it reminds me of my relationship with You in that You call for me to be a reflection of Your grace and beauty. I am not You, but I can reflect You and Your light shines through me for others to see. Help me always be a reflection of You, my Lord!
That is not always easy especially when I am tired; at those times the enemy tries to block out my knowledge and relationship with You. It’s like black angry clouds covering the sun and swirling up the water. What is within and comes out is far from attractive, not like You at all; yet when I come to You in these times for help, You never fail me. Your love can never be shut out by clouds of darkness! Thank You my Father for Your unfaltering care of me. In my weakness You come on strong! It’s the lesson You taught Paul.
2 Corinthians 12:9
. . . for My strength and power are made perfect
(fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective
in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will
all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities,
that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah)
may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!
