Hearing that statistic that more military personnel have committed suicide than have been killed in the war really was gut wrenching. War is terrible to go through. . . killing and watching friends die, constant threat of being blown up. . . Oh Lord! My heart goes out to miltary. It’s frustrating hearing statistics and being unable to do anything to help men and women who went through a horrendous time for me and you.
However, I can pray for them, and prayer is formidable. It's like watching that power of the flooding stream turned into a careening river hurtling down the hill~ immense. A number of people have lost their lives to it. We cannot underestimate the dangerous might of flooding streams and rivers.
However, danger seems to excite people, especially those who like to live on the edge. Competing with the power of nature draws them to plunge in where the cautious fear to go.
Super~natural also gives the feeling of exhilaration and enormous power! There are wild rivers of the spirit world few even know about. Here there are events occurring all the time. Angels and demons live there. It’s a place of warfare, spiritual warfare. Knowing his time is short, the enemy, satan, constantly strikes out against God’s people spreading evil, blinding people to truth, lying, subverting, deceiving, he uses his evil to attempt to steal people from God. But we, as God’s people, have been supplied with weapons of warfare, and they are found in Ephesians 6:
Ephesians 6:10-18 (AMP)
10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].
11 Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies],
that you may be able successfully to stand up
against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents],
but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers
of this present darkness,
against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
13 Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].
14 Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and
having put on the breastplate of integrity
and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,
15 And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability,
the promptness, and the readiness produced by
the good news] of the Gospel of peace.
16 Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles
of the wicked [one].
17 And take the helmet of salvation
and the sword that the Spirit wields,
which is the Word of God.
18 Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty.
To that end keep alert and watch with
strong purpose and perseverance,
interceding in behalf of all the saints
(God’s consecrated people).
Enter the compelling world of spiritual warfare. With the enormous strength of Jesus flowing through us, nothing is impossible. Holy Spirit will guide us in battle, thus we are confident in our words, and victory is ours. Be aware it is not child’s play, nor is it easy and without danger. Commitment is required; allegiance, daily meeting with our Lord is necessary to stay strong, protected, and aware.
Does the ‘drawing’ of nature’s strength call your heart to join forces with God?
