This morning I ask Jesus to teach me again, and He walks with me in Scripture.
“Come follow me. Do you recall Mary and Martha?” Yes Lord. “Mary just wanted to sit at my feet and hear the Words of my mouth; she loved Me and wanted to be close to Me.”
“Martha was consumed with cleaning and preparing a meal for Me. She loved Me too; but her thinking was divided between being a ‘good hostess’ before Me, wanting to impress Me, and valuing My nearness.”
“So Mary, where do You fit?” I just want to be close to You Jesus. I’ve about given up on having a perfect house, but in my body, my mind, my spirit~ I just want You teaching me. I want to be in Your presence! “Mary, Mary, I see something is consuming you now? What is it?” The future Lord. “And what have I been teaching you about that?” You have been telling me it is in Your hands, and I should trust You with it.
“Mary, you need encouragement this morning. Go read Isaiah 43:1-4.”
Isaiah 43:1-4 (AMP)
1. . . I have called you by your name; you are Mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.
3 For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; . . .
4 Because you are precious in My sight and honored, and because I love you, I will give men in return for you and peoples in exchange for your life.
Father, I am precious in Your sight. You call me by name~ I belong to You. No matter what the future holds, You will be with me and go through it with me. I have nothing to fear, nor concern myself over. I am Yours. And You are great and mighty, glorious and beautiful! You are my immense and powerful Dad; I belong to You, and You care for me tenderly; I am in safe hands. :)
All things in my life are in Your hands, Lord. I know the the greatest command ‘You shall love the Lord with your whole heart!’ I bow before You Father in reverence and homage. Yes, You are my Dad, but You are also my God! I love You with all my heart!
Any more Marthas out there?
