My heart’s need calls out, “Jesus can we walk together this morning?” Early morning just before light fall creates a natural atmosphere of intimacy. As I enter the garden, it’s just a pulling I feel to walk a different path. It leads me to a small glen concealed by bushes and trees. Bubbling sounds of the stream still effervesce through the woods. It is here I find my Lord sitting on a stump. Entering slowly as the mood summons, I quietly take my seat upon a log long fallen from its host. Stillness reigns.
I feel Jesus’ eyes upon me; “what would you have of me Lord?” I ask.“Trust Me, Mary. Lean into Me.” You know me so well, Lord, my every thought, my every pretense; You know when I am afraid, when I am strong. Take my hand Lord; free me from the enemy attempt to capture my mind with fear and doubt. Jesus smiles, “Whatever trial attempts to manacle you today, call upon Me, and allow my power to free you. Know who I AM.”
Gentleness, kindness, understanding do not mask the authority of His Godliness this morning. Strength inside, His mastery like power swirling fiercely~ He is Son of God, seated at the right hand of the Father in full majesty and dominion.
Matthew 28:17-19 (AMP)
17 And when they saw Him,
they fell down and worshiped Him; but some doubted.
18 Jesus approached and, breaking the silence,
said to them,
All authority (all power of rule) in heaven
and on earth has been given to Me.
Touch of His hand upon my head and His power seems to encircle me: “Do not fear My child, I AM always here.” Peace flows as the truth of His words intermingle with my thoughts. The stillness almost explodes with His divine Presence.
Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!
Why, my Jesus, would You choose to spend time with me? His eyes find mine, Jesus smiles, “I love You”.
