Jesus Sitting on a Rock

Jesus, You are sitting on a rock in the garden this morning. I’m feeling so unworthy to be in Your presence right now. Yet You are the One who died to make me worthy to ‘be in Your presence’.

It’s not my worthiness, but Your gift of saving grace that covers me in Your blood, the debt You paid, to make me God’s child with His nature. Accepting Your gift causes my rebirth with Godly DNA now. So I’ve been cleansed of evil’s nature; yet he still tries to come around and deceive me. You, Jesus, tell me, “I love you”, and with the warmth of Your gentle smile and the look in Your eyes, I know it to be true. Evil’s doubting deceptions are destroyed!

It’s still early and the sun is not yet up, but it’s close for the sky has lightened. This morning there will be no walk; we’ll just sit in the quiet and listen to hear the awakening of the critters of the day. The stream is what I hear at first listening. It is small and gurgles over miniature boulders and around a large rock sitting staunchly in its path. It’s a happy sound that brings the first smile to my face. Water is a cleansing element and just its sound brings new life into my tired soul.

Jesus looks up through the bare branches to the sky. Clouds are turning from grey to pink and red orange. The hills now absorbing the sun’s colors are standing out in neon orange against the moody grey. Yet it seems in the blink of an eye the happy colors fade away and unadorned gray takes over again. Jesus says, “Be prepared to see the joy and do not miss the moments of happiness you find. Allow the small  joys to enter in and fill a vault of gladness to sustain you when the gray tries to reign.”

“Look up Mary, keep your gaze on things above. Do not be pulled down. Some things of the earth have My beauty in their creation, and You can worship Me as you find the good in My gifts to you. But I AM the Creator, and it’s in Me you will find what you thirst for in your soul. Keep Your eyes upon Me and where I lead, you follow. Allow Me to give you all you require.”

Matthew 11:27-29 (AMP)
All things have been entrusted and delivered to Me by My Father; and no one fully knows and accurately understands the Son except the Father, and no one fully knows and accurately understands the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son deliberately wills to make Him known.

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]

29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls

Thank You Jesus for our garden visits. You teach me and bless my life with Your great love! Thank You for rest in my soul. You always know what I need and You are pleased to provide it!

Have you discussed a need with Jesus lately?
