December 26 representing the day after Jesus is born~ I’m sure Joseph set about finding a place for his family to live, and Mary rested a lot, while she cared for her new Son. Many thoughts must have been going around in her head and heart as she pondered all that had taken place the night of His birth.
Two thousand years later I too ponder, for we have celebrated the birth of our King of Kings! It’s the day after~ will I go on, take the tree down, put decorations away, clean up the mess, and return to “normal” without pondering the glory of His birth? Without really meditating on the miracle of God becoming man? Without realizing the goodness of God who sent His own Son to teach us about the character of His Father, and to suffer and die so we might have life?
Recently I've had experience with some of those who refuse to see and understand the truth about You, God. You are so grand and glorious, we could never come to know You on our own; You are just too huge. You knew this, so You sent Jesus as a human being so that He could share and we could comprehend the truth about You.
Then You gifted us with Holy Spirit, as a Helper, Guide, and Counselor for us. Holy Spirit gives us a true spirit to Spirit connection with You that allows us to have conversation with You. You are a Father Who cherishes us and desires a close relationship with us, Your kids. You lead us down the life path You have already prepared for us. You’ve given us everything we require for a fulfilling journey all the way to the end of the road. . . which is the beginning of our new life in eternity with You.
