23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
Before Your throne O Lord I come with humble heart. I choose to live my life for You. It is not an easy choice, for it musters up thoughts of facing giants who want to hurt me and slay me. Only knowing You as my loving Father gives me the courage to stand and choose a life of service to You!
Jesus already won the victory, but our strength must grow to claim that victory. God gave us directions for success in:
10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the
shield of faith

to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.
17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere
Standing strong daily requires committing quality time to our Lord and God! As we stand in His presence and we speak together, our strength increases. We know that God will reveal the places where there is weakness.
In a recent GPAN letter it said it this way:
While removing the rocks [These stones are secret sins that were allowed to remain hidden for a season], God is also uprooting weeds. The weeds are the seeds of the past the enemy has sown. Often these are hurts, offenses and cares of life that choke and hinder fruit from fully flourishing.
Being in Your Presence, Lord, floats these seeds up to the top where the conscious mind becomes aware of them, and they can be effectively rooted out. Lord You are so good to us. We follow Your ways and become better and hardier.
Another reward that comes with daily communing with our amazingly loving Father, is learning concepts that help us to please Him more. Here is one way GPAN puts it is so clearly:
not in your past,
and you cannot carry these things into the next season. They will hinder your growth.
[This statement has an underlying truth that is immense enough to thrust itself beneath the surface of the heart and create a window to release truth to the conscious mind. Run forward into the future.]
Forgive others, and embrace unity with those the Lord has placed around you. Let Him complete His work of uncovering the rocks and uprooting the weeds. Let Him awaken the soil of your life and prepare it for what is next.
Fall on your knees, and experience the clarity of His voice and the sweetness of His presence.
The goodness of God can be so overwhelming! His presence brings joy~let us jump into it and relish our time together with our Heavenly Father!
