What is it that is the underlying goal of every heart? God created us in His image and likeness and He breathed life into us. There's a God-shaped place in each person that only God can fill.
For completeness of life, each must seek the Lord with all their heart. How? We go to our 'secret place' and commune with Him; let His presence fill us. We spend time in personal prayer ~talking with God and listening for His answers~ to become more intimately acquainted with God. This is the secret of moving forward with resolution and peace. Allowing Him to guide us will bring satisfaction and joy ~ knowing His will for our lives supplies our souls with rest.
Have you driven along an unfamiliar highway and in the distance seen storm clouds heading your way? Darkness descends as the sun is blocked; mighty winds begin to surge; huge drops of rain pelt the car as hands grip the wheel more tightly. It’s tornado season and as the car is whipped around, trickles of fear begin to invade the
mood. . . it’s choice time now.

Do we trust in the Father Who loves us? Is peace still reigning? Temptations of fear could invade if we allow it. Can we just put ourselves in God’s hands and determinedly drive on?
A loved one is sick, and this is a test of greater faith. Will death be able to steal them away? Fear again invades our private space. Where to go to get help? God has provided us with the best help ~ His Word. He promises healing in His Word. He promises peace. He promises comfort. Trust in God and His Word.
Will the loved one be healed? Is that the best answer for them? The God who is all loving and all knowing of past, present and future will make the decision, but our prayers and claiming the Word is all a part of it. God does do miracles, but He considers all things ahead of time. There’s a story of a man who was a drunk and a sinner and a blasphemer who got sick with cancer. In the hospital he got healed and saved and was telling everyone about the wonders of God and what Jesus did for us. Everyone was joyful and praising the Lord. Suddenly he developed a blood clot that went to his heart and killed him. His wife was seeking the Lord about “why”? He told her if the man had lived he would have been sucked back into his old ways and lost his salvation.
Things do not always go the way we want, and prayers are not always answered as we would choose. That is why we need to spend precious time with the Lord each day, so we can come to know Him and His character. Complete trust only comes when we know the One we are trusting. Our God is a loving Father who wants the best for all His children. In our life journey we trust and rely on Him alone! This brings us into our future with strength and mastery.
