April 15: What a crazy Spring we are having! Woke up to snow and wind again this morning. We need the moisture desperately Lord, but this snow is suppose to come in winter. Spring usually evokes pictures of gentle warmth, beautiful flowers, budding trees, baby animals, and singing birds. But this winter continues to persist and claim the right to prolong its time. Reminds me of what’s happening in the spiritual world. The enemy is fighting to bring and keep coldness in hearts and parched souls. Lord, today I lift up our people to You. Send Your angels to surround Your beloved children, those who love You and are being harassed by the devil. Send warrior angels to fight for them.
You Lord are all powerful! Nothing comes close to You. You are huge and encompass all life watching over Your creation. There is reason for the drought and all the unseasonable weather. We as a nation are trying to remove You as unimportant or questioning 'if You exist at all?'. People want to believe in themselves as supreme. Those with money and power use their authority to push their godless agenda upon our nation. If they can control this country, they can control the world. They have to remove You to achieve this goal.
Lord, we lift up our hands in prayer. There is no other answer. You alone have the power to help us now. While we slept the enemy has snuck in and planted weeds among the wheat.
Matthew 13:24-30 (NLT)
Here is another story Jesus told:
“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted
good seed in his field. 25 But that night as the workers slept, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat, then slipped away. 26 When the crop began to grow and produce grain, the weeds also grew.
27 “The farmer’s workers went to him and said, ‘Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds! Where did they come from?’
28 “‘An enemy has done this!’ the farmer exclaimed.
“‘Should we pull out the weeds?’ they asked.
29 “‘No,’ he replied, ‘you’ll uproot the wheat if you do. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest.
Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds, tie them into bundles, and burn them, and to put the wheat in the barn.’”
Lord, Your Word says You’ll deal with 'the weeds' at the end of time. But we ask that as the weeds grow You protect the wheat from them. Watch over Your children Lord. Open eyes to see, rub away the sleep and blurred vision; let Your truth penetrate our hearts! Lord, send us leaders who have Your heart and clear vision! Send us Isaiah-like teachers of truth!
Job 8:8-19 MSG That’s what happens to all who forget God— . . . . they’re like weeds springing up in the sunshine, invading the garden, Spreading everywhere, overtaking the flowers, getting a foothold even in the rocks.
But when the gardener rips them out by the roots, the garden doesn’t miss them one bit.
