Step Out of Loneliness

Today’s blog is not pablum and milk, it is meat. The Word is full of lessons and some are easy and sweet, but others are deep and difficult to understand and follow ~ made for adults not children. Today’s blog is for spiritual adults; it is taken from:

Colossians 2:11-13 (AMP) In Him also you were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but in a [spiritual] circumcision [performed by] Christ by stripping off the body of the flesh (the whole corrupt, carnal nature with its passions and lusts).
12 [Thus you were circumcised when] you were buried with Him in [your] baptism, in which you were also raised with Him [to a new life] through [your] faith in the working of God [as displayed] when He raised Him up from the dead.

What a strong concept, not necessarily comfortable, but empowering ~ we have been spiritually circumcised by Jesus. As Jesus flesh was stripped by the cruel lashes of the Roman soldiers, our corrupt carnal-natured flesh has been spiritually stripped off our body; we were buried with Christ and raised up with a renewed nature free of the corruption to a fresh life through our baptism of faith, powerful faith in the working of God [as displayed] when He raised Jesus up from the dead.

Colossians 2:12  (NLV)
12 When you were baptized, you were buried as Christ was buried. When you were raised up in baptism, you were raised as Christ was raised. You were raised to a new life by putting your trust in God. It was God Who raised Jesus from the dead.

(MSG Bible) Going under the water was a burial of your old life; coming up out of it was a resurrection, God raising you from the dead as he did Christ. When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive—right along with Christ! Think of it!

Yes, think of it! God provided a way to strip off our sinful nature and be reborn into our Godly nature, where we are capable of having the Holy Spirit indwell us and guide our life. We can have the love of Jesus flowing through us. I repeat, ‘As we choose to repent of that old sin and accept Jesus as Lord of our life, we go through the spiritual stripping off of our fleshly nature, and being reborn in our brand new nature.’ God is amazingly loving and the more we know Him, the more we love Him!

We can step out from the hassles, depression and loneliness of our old sin nature into a relationship with our God who promises He will never leave us, but always walk beside us; He will be our protection against any evil, provide wisdom and divine guidance when we need it. He loves us with the heart of a Father for His beloved child. He desires an intimate relationship with us and even offers to send His Holy Spirit to indwell us! That means we live with God Himself in us. See how this can change a life? Your life?
