Depressed? Repressed? or Blessed?

Another new month arrives. I look up at a strange horizon. . . its rather empty and barren. A few dead scrub bushes scattered here and there, wind blowing in dirt filled gusts. . . sky is a dirty gray. A lone figure, shoulders downloaded with the weight of the world on them, is slowly walking away from the camera.

In Scripture Jesus said His disciples need to grow up and eat meat and vegetables, not milk.

Hebrews 5:11-14 (MSG)
11-14 I have a lot more to say about this, but it is hard to get it across to you since you’ve picked up this bad habit of not listening. By this time you ought to be teachers yourselves, yet here I find you need someone to sit down with you and go over the basics on God again, starting from square one—baby’s milk, when you should have been on solid food long ago! Milk is for beginners, inexperienced in God’s ways; solid food is for the mature, who have some practice in telling right from wrong.

This blog is meat and vegetables:
This is a picture of a world without Jesus. Our future holds many challenges, and they have the ability to pull us down into a depressive scene like above. . .  taxes and regulations that close down businesses leaving families without jobs, insurance that limits care according to age, constitutional amendments taken away, rise in violent crimes as evil grows and God is mocked and removed wherever government can do it.

Challenges like these could easily come into our lives if the church does not wake up and begin to take action. This nation is filled with enough people to flood our nation with overcoming goodness through prayer. God has given us warnings (if you are not aware of them, read the book Harbinger) but His mercy will not stay forever if we refuse to act. Prayer is simply the first act that everyone can do. Repent for laziness and lack of vision and courage to act. Form a pray-for-our-nation group at your church. Join together and pray the Scriptures asking God to be faithful to His Word and heal our land.

All of us, but especially our Pastors must stand up for the Word of God and what God says to us in His Word, for it truly is His 'instruction manual' for life. Satan and his minions have gotten a stronghold on our country. It’s the fault of the sleeping church ~ we let it happen step by step.

Some of us are like the man in the movie scene above ~ dejected with no hope, no dreams, no faith. The call on the church is to come alive! Stand up! Be the man or woman God created you to be! You do not live in this place at this time by accident! You were born for it! If you are just waking up to this truth, go to the mighty “I AM” in prayer. Bow before Him in repentance and worship and give your heart to Him. He will bring new life into you giving you a joy and a courage to face any challenge. He will bring His supernatural power to work in your life!

Oh my friends, do not let the movie of oppression and depression be your life! Rather be courageous and outrageous for Jesus! Commit your life to Him! Be renewed by purpose installed in you by the great “I AM”!
