My heart finds it difficult to write at this time. How can words help the families of tragedy? Take my words Lord and let them release Your pure love. There is such sorrow pulling down, and yet such joy in the Lord lifting up! Still I must write and share what Holy Spirit gives my heart to share.
The Philistines would not allow a blacksmith in the land of the Israelites for fear they would make weapons. So God's people had all their tools: plowshares, prods etc sharpened. They used what they had to fight the battle.
Lord, You always provide what we need, but sometimes we do not see Your provision. Sometimes it is covered up by hurt and pain, or we do not trust You enough to seek it. But the truth is, when we are faithful to You, trusting You, we discover You never fail us.
Deuteronomy 7:8 (NLT)
He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.
Painful times come. Evil exists. Yet You Lord will always turn evil around for a good when we trust in You. I know some are in such deep pain right now. Dragging sorrow hinders the forward motion, like walking in soaking sand. It’s like just wanting to sink into a numbing darkness and stay there. Help these sorrowing ones to walk through the mist till the tears on their face become release as they blend with Your refreshment of cleansing rain. May Your Hand, God, squeeze the healing moisture from the clouds and wash the hurt from their mourning souls! Allow memories to be comforting and blessing. Oh, Lord, lift them up and allow the healing balm of Your love to return warmth to their hearts. May Your loving arms provide healing hugs for each of them.
Father, help us return You to our schools so that our kids are protected, and they can learn how to live right, to handle their own emotions with Your help, and they do not later become pawns to the devil’s evil schemes.
There is a huge wound in our nation; only You Lord have the power to heal it. The power of Your love heals. This is the time when we gather together to celebrate the birth of our Savior, the greatest love there ever was/is. Lord I ask You to put a shield of protection around the parents and families and close friends of the slain. The special difficulty of trying to be happy in this time of good cheer while their insides are mourning a horrible loss has to be terrible. Hold them close to Your heart Lord! Loose Your love to enter into and to surround them.
Father, I know You have a plan and it will bring redemption to this land. Lead each of us to do Your will in our lives, because Your will extends to all in goodness and light. Let Your angels sing Your glory ~ it just occurred to me - You have a new children’s choir now! Let their special voices be heard . . .
Father God, let the Christmas love shower upon every home in this nation, and shine through the special lights of joy bringing the true message of Christmas ~ that Your immense love for Your children brought our Savior to the earth.
Let us all humble ourselves, repent and seek the face of God with all our hearts and souls! He promises healing to our land if we do. Only this will stop evil from succeeding.
