Twinkling eyes wide open in excitement as words pour out like water from a pressure hose. Tune the ear to general and raise the comprehension focus to high, as you behold little body signs signaling great excitement: “You’ll never guess. . .”!!
Heart lifting contagious moments that only children can inspire. Why? When they get excited it’s with their whole being! There body fairly leaps with it! Their eyes glow, their mouth forms a huge grin as they chatter.
Adults. As we grow up, our tendency is to tamper down excitement. But hey, when we are dealing with God Himself, our whole body, soul, and spirit can be involved. All of us can experience the exuberance of being in His presence. Have you ever gone up to a friend with something exhilarating to share? Do you understand God has that same eagerness about us? Where do you think children get it from? God loves us, delights in us, and is elated when we turn to Him in love.
One lesson my grandkids have taught me: be excited. be excited about life, about God; allow that exhilaration to blast forth from my being! He is Father; He is Protector; He is Savior; He is Friend; He dotes on us in tender love! God is Almighty, all knowing, all accepting, all powerful!
Don’t be too proud to be excited, too fearful to act. Know the magnificent attributes of our God, and in obedience spread the truth with twinkling eyes, smiling mouth, and words leaping with elation! Yes, be enthusiastic!(Enthusiasm < Greek ( énthous, variant of éntheos having a god within.) Be enthusiastic about your God-relationship and about sharing His truth with friends and family. Enjoy exhilaration about/with God!
