See the universe, the wonder of the stars and the beauty of space as explored by the eyes of a telescope. It is a wonderment! Open the expanse of your spirit to envelop the immensity of it all. See the beauty of the gifts God has hidden for our delight in discovery! We serve an awesome God Whose love for us is monumental.
This amazing God extends to us His very thoughts and ways. In the Bible we read of His love for us. We also learn about His Son Jesus Who sacrificed His very life for us, and how the Father has now placed Jesus over everything.
Ephesians 1:20-25 (MSG)
20-23 All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with His presence.
Since Jesus is over everything and is head of the Body - the Body of Christ, which is the Church, He is over the government as well ~ thus we as the church are also responsible for government. Realizing this, is it not time for the church to take up its responsibility to speak truth and pray for our government in earnest? God tells us in 1Timothy 2:1-3 that we must pray for our government. WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT. We are not poor little peons to give up our lives to the enemy’s deceptions.
Prayer power is enormous! We must be who we are called to be ~ powerful warriors of prayer who decide our own destiny according to the Word of God! All nations are under God, and we can place our colossal God of power to rule and reign with His blessings over us ~ if we obey Him and pray for our rulers!
E M Bounds writes about ‘prayer power’ in His book: Prayer opens the way for the Word of God to run without let or hindrance, and creates the atmosphere which is favorable to the Word accomplishing its purpose. . . We have got to believe that underlying God's Word is prayer, and upon prayer, its final success will depend. In the Book of Isaiah we read: So shall My Word be that goeth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
We as Bible believing obeyers of the Word must bend our hearts in deep prayer for our nations. God promises in 2 Chronicles:
2 Chronicles 7:14-15 (AMP)
If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer offered in this place.
We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and when we pray from our hearts, God hears us. Now we hear His promises: IF we pray and seek His face as first necessity ~ we hunger for Him, He comes first in our hearts, our lives, our focus; IF we require Him as our main first requirement in our life and turn from sin to righteousness in our hearts and behaviors of all kinds, THEN He will hear our prayers and He will heal our lands. Let the believers of all nations gather in the spirit to flood heaven with prayers for God to return to our lands!
Friends, we serve a mighty God who created us with a purpose; our purpose always begins with prayer. Hunger as a starving child to be close to God, to be in His presence. Spend time every day with Him; make an appointment with Him and keep it. Know Your God intimately as He knows you. Immerse yourself in His love, then pray for your nation. This is our only sure way to have our lands healed!
