Sharing about what happened. . .

Have a great testimony to share with you about the immensity of the love of our God! Even today when I think about it, I am surrounded by that wonderful feeling of God’s Presence! It all happened Sunday morning:

My daughter and I attended a Women’s Retreat sponsored by her church. I was delighted to accept her invitation to go with her. You see she leads a busy life with family and long work hours and so she does not have a lot of time for the spiritual. We were able to have some really good God chats.

Sunday morning we needed to head down the mountain right after breakfast, as she had to meet a client at 10:00AM. We left a little later than planned, but still had time to spare. Shortly into our journey we came to a longish tunnel through the mountains; part way through I reminded my daughter the speed was reduced. She’s a good driver, but  has a tendency to drive fast. However, when she saw her speed, she did slow down. Blessing #1: about a half mile later, not in the tunnel, her tire went flat. Thankfully she was able to safely pull onto the shoulder of the road. We jumped out to see which tire was to blame. Blessing #2: it was the right rear tire~not on the traffic side where cars rushed by.

My daughter was beginning to get upset until I reminded her “God is in control”. Then she got on the phone (yes, thankfully we had reception) and I began clearing out the trunk. My thought had been that if need be, we could change the tire. At the time I did not realize how heavy the tires on an Infinity are. But just as the trunk had been emptied, looking up, my eyes beheld Blessing #3 a semitruck had stopped just down the hill and 2 men were running toward us to help change the tire. (Actually, I believe they were 2 angels.) In any case they had the tire changed in about 15 minutes. A spirit of goodness shown from their eyes, and we could tell they were God-loving guys. We offered a payment, but they would not accept it and asked only for prayers. So I gave them each a hug and we prayed for their safety and their lives as we continued our journey down the road.

Our angels told us to keep the speed at 50mph or lower because of the ‘spare tire’ not being like a regular one. This we did, and it was a good thing too, because at the bottom of the mountain highway and around the bend was a speed trap. Blessing #4: we would surely have  been caught in it if we were not required to keep the speed at 50mph.

Blessing #5: After God sent our angels, His Presence stayed with us. Such a sweet feeling filled our vehicle. Our spirits were so lifted as we recounted all the ways God's goodness had blessed our morning. What better way could our spiritual retreat have ended then for God manifesting His love and care in such a concrete way!?

By the way, we arrived back and Lori met her client at 10:00 AM on the dot. Even this small detail was perfectly arranged by God!
