Rounded a bend and fabulous Fall attire greeted me ~ a group of trees gowned in deep reds, vibrant oranges, golden yellows backgrounded against the rich color of evergreen trees created a living canvas of God’s amazing artwork! This season so enriches my soul!
Eyes are pulled to left and right in appreciation of the grandeur even in driving down tree lined streets. We are so drawn to the beauty of the colors and hues. For me it is a time of joy to see the Lord’s mastery so expressed.
But do you ever ponder why the leaves of the trees become so vibrantly beautiful right before they die? That yes, right before they die, for just a short while, the leaves become their most spectacular? What does that say about death? and life? Perhaps, a life well lived grows in beauty every year?
As we grow close to God becoming more and more like Jesus in our love walk, we do develop an aura of quiet grace. Inside we flourish in His love and it flows out to all, and this creates a beauty that goes beyond what the world sees. It expresses itself right through the wrinkles, the imperfect weight, the kinks in movement that seem to come as we enter our own Fall season. Yet the glow from Holy Spirit living His life in us shines out of the eyes.
Can you see how God’s design is so marvelous, His love so perfect? To live each season and become the lovely vibrant person we were meant to be, we must allow Jesus’ love to grow as the food of our life ~ He calls Himself the "bread of life". Partake of it and bloom with His life within; this causes us to thrive through all challenges of our various seasons. Then in Fall our life “leaves” will glow with Jesus, an inner vibrancy that cannot be denied.
As Fall’s radiant richness commences to decrease into winter monotones, maintain wisdom and joy as the end of earthly life comes nearer. Remember in winter the trees do not die, they merely begin preparing for the next Spring. Our lives continue preparing for our entrance through the Jesus door of eternal life into God's delightful garden.
