Magical Time

We grew up in an almost magical time. Memories fly through my mind eliciting a smile. Pictures of flying down the street on skates with key in pocket; climbing on new construction after the workers had left; taking a shortcut through the woods to the movie theater at night; playing street football, baseball and basketball; making plans as we sat in our tree house, playing mumbly peg with our own pocket knives, sledding down Pandora Street(a long hill) after a big snowfall. Many more memories also rise up, and all are indicative of a time when life was sweeter and evil had much less influence on society.

My husband and I were sharing memories and it does now seem as though we grew up in magical times. Today I know Jesus, and because of that, life is not magical, but complete.

What memories cause a smile to form on your face? Do you remember a time of innocence? Did your youth seem magical? Some people have lives filled with challenges since infancy. If that's you, I am sorry; you have come through many struggles to be who you are today. If you know Jesus, then you know how loved and valued you are. You also know He has a mission for you to use your victory over your trials to help other people find their victory.

Jesus, invited to live within us, is God within. We have God Himself living is us helping us every moment of every day if we so choose. The power, the protection, the strength, the wisdom of God is at our fingertips. What our life has been like ~ full of struggles or magic moments, sin or strong temptations, love or hate, it is past and does not matter. Once we accept Jesus as Lord of our life admitting we are sinful creatures and repenting for our sin, we are forgiven, released from our sin nature and once again become as God originally created us ~ to truly be His children with His DNA. If you have not yet made this choice, do not wait another day!
