High Above it All

Sailing through the skies enthralled with the patterns of the earth below. . .  a Chinese dragon spun its head in different directions creating spiky inlets, turns and twists creating a beautiful water design seen only  from above. Give me a boat to go exploring! Wouldn’t that be amusing having the knowledge from this perspective? Now its true I do not know what weather guards the dragon’s lair; perhaps it would be hot and humid and buggy. None the less from 6 miles up, I can let the imagination go wild and just have fun with it. . . be a little kid again and seek a new adventure, find a lost treasure, search for wild critters to photograph, ‘see’ slithery snakes with beautiful skin patterns, frogs escaping their open mouths, and hear sweet tunes of birds calling each other.

Later I look out the window again and see nothing! Nothing but a white glare! Feels like an old ‘Twilight Zone’ with Rod Serling, where a critter was crawling on the wing of a plane. Spooky! Imagination can fabricate wonders! Then of course, there are times when it seems like one can jump and dance on the pillowy white clouds. Flying is always a grand experience for the mind to fashion fun.

Looking down now and the land is dotted with many different shaped roundish patches in tan and light orange colors. Looks like it has chicken pox. Love the views from high above. Soon we will float down out of the sky and our ground adventure will begin.

Lord, it is so rewarding to gain a fresh perspective on Your creation. Glancing down upon Your world brings a new level of understanding of Your power. It’s looking at You through a different window that opens our mind to view Your mind creating beauty. . . a thought, a vision and ‘voila’ a part of the earth exhibits its fascinating design. In the skies there are puff balls floating, or huge mountainous thunderheads looming in front of us. Your hand can do it all whether it is in the heavens, or on earth. You thought it; You put it in motion; You are an amazing God!
