In Isaiah 2 below we hear a prophecy for the last days. Which shall we be? Time is so short and can we afford to waste it? We cannot put out a hand and stop time; it's dashing with such rapidity, we cannot catch up; we can't capture it, but we can choose to act in the now!
Is it not time to remember the Almighty Lord God of the universe is speaking? He has warned us in many ways. 9/11 was the biggest warning that His hand of protection has lifted; He loves us so much, and we treat Him like an uninvited stranger. Unfortunately, if we do not return to offer Him the love, respect and worship He so deserves, our land will be shaken beyond recognition. Take time to read His prophecies, to hear His admonitions, and to obey God!
Isaiah 2:2 It shall come to pass in the latter days
that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be [firmly] established as the highest of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills, and all nations shall flow to it.
3 And many people shall come and say, Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, that He may teach us His ways and that we may walk in His paths. . . Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. 5 O house of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the Lord.
Or shall we be accused?
Isaiah 2:8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, what their own fingers have made.
9 And the common man is bowed down [before idols] idols of self, of greed, of lust, of power . . . Enter into the rock and hide yourself in the dust from before the terror of the Lord and from the glory of His majesty.
11 The proud looks of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be humbled; and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. . .
20 . . . into the caves of the rocks and into the holes of the earth from before the terror and dread of the Lord and from before the glory of His majesty, when He arises to shake mightily and terribly the earth. . .
22 Cease to trust in [weak, frail, and dying] man, whose breath is in his nostrils [for so short a time]; in what sense can he be counted as having intrinsic worth?
Again Lord You have shown us Your majesty and power. You, Who created the earth, can destroy it as well. You have stretched forth Your hand and given us the best You have in creation and in Your Son for our salvation. And have we been thankful? No! We have rejected You, Your Son, and claimed creation for ourselves. We have murdered the innocent and tried to kick you out of our land. We are not worthy of mercy.
Yet Lord, You listened to Moses when He pleaded for Sodom and Gomorrah. Your Word also says You searched the whole earth looking for someone to stand in the gap. Lord I am one, but there are more in our land Who are righteous; and there are more willing to stand in the gap for our nation. We lift our prayers up to You, mighty God and ask for mercy for our country.
Let us pray for our land! The Word says:
James 5:16 (AMP)
. . . The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
Dynamite-like power is available to us through prayer! and we have God’s promise: 2 Chronicles 7:14 (AMP)
If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
Let us pray! Pray for our nation; lift up our voices and our hearts to God giving Him the praise and worship He so deserves and asking for Him to hear from heaven and heal our land.
