You are our Father Who reigns supreme over everything. Your will be done! You are love. You love us as Your children~tenderly, softly, closely, and with gentle laughter enjoying our desire to please You. You are the source of all power! And that power is exhibited often in the earth. Like the wind seems to have been roaring all nightlong! (Didn't sleep that well, so I know) The winds can exhibit Your tremendous power, Lord, as in tornadoes that bring an unimaginable force that can drive a toothbrush through a telephone pole. Or one can see hurricanes that seem to boil the seas like a gigantic caldron. With Your power You raise the dead back to life. You are the Creator, You are the Master of Life!
You bring joy to life even in death. In the spirit I saw my Mom dance in a daisy filled meadow when death freed her from an Alzheimer ravaged body. Her music and happiness was a ballet of freedom and joy. Even in sorrow, it made my heart smile.
When Dad took a long time to die, You gave me a vision and a reason when I asked “why?”. The reason was pride. . . You asked me, “When was the last time you saw your father bow down to anyone?”. Then You gave me the vision of Dad dressed in a white robe, down on one knee, bowing before Jesus as a knight bows before his king. You give us joy even in death. Also, before Dad died, Teri saw an angel in his room. You sent Your angel servants to guard him in his last hours.
You are good, my Father; thank You for so many blessings! Even in times of sorrow You know how to bring solace to our souls.
Have you ever received such a gift from God when a loved one died? I've learned to pray this for friends who are about to go through a death experience with one they love.
