As a volunteer at a local hospital, I am privileged to help many people in varied situations, and most of them are stressful. It is truly a joy to be able to serve those who are so much in need of someone to care. It is also a reminder that life is full of surprises and not all are happy ones!
Have you given much thought to life after death? Or is it an unpleasant subject you would rather not dwell on nor think about? Actually, that can be as risky as backing up to a sheer drop off without windows and mirrors. If one is absolutely certain of their destination when walking through death’s door, then the actualization of that joy is something to look forward to.
But there are those who have no certainty of their destination, and that can be scary; so contemplation of death is avoided. The good news is we can all know with surety we will spend eternity in joy not in pain and deep regret. . . if we so choose.
Doubters, scorners and those who want to live their own way regardless of the laws of God may find themselves in big trouble when that day comes. The very sad thing is that we all have the opportunity to live lives of happiness and victory beginning now. This life will just continue growing better in eternity. One path, one journey continuing on in joyful expectation and fulfilled hope. Its something to shout about! Be excited about!
If you are one who is unsure or uneasy about death, let me know. I can help. And in the meantime, live with care.
