Psalm 36:5-6 (The Message)
God's love is meteoric, his loyalty astronomic,
His purpose titanic, his verdicts oceanic.
Yet in his largeness nothing gets lost;
Not a man, not a mouse, slips through the cracks.
Our God is huge and so amazing. The other day I spoke with someone who was trying to put God in a box of their own understanding, and then judge Him. “If He is all loving and all powerful, why does He not stop wars? Why does He allow sickness? Why does He let children die?” It’s like they believe God should live up to their expectations. God does not fit in their box.
Many have not had the experience of truly knowing God and the immensity of His love for us. Notice in the verse above it says, He does not allow anything to get lost. God is always with us and has His eye upon us constantly. Many people today do not understand that the world will not be perfect until the end of time. Some want to deny the existence of evil. I do not understand that one. Look at this world and Satan’s handiwork is everywhere. How can anyone deny he is working hard to destroy goodness and light in this world?
But the God of Light, life and love is also working through His people to spread His word of love and salvation. Once we truly know Him, it is so evident. Our God wants you to know Him and enjoy all the love, joy, and protection He brings to our life when we open ourself to Him; but He will not barge in where He is not welcome.
Do you think it is even possible to imagine the complexity and hugeness of our God and His enormous love for us?
