Live With Passion!

With a whimper and a shout the baby enters the world. Chilly and feeling abused, it squirms with a frown on its face. Then a loving touch cleans the child, wraps it securely in a soft warm blanket, and places it in the sweet embrace of its mother. Content now, the child’s eyes close and sleep comes gently.

My Wondering Heart Exposed

Rugged Rocky Mountains border the west side of Denver. I love their everchanging moods as the light and clouds define them. But their ruggedness is not only beautiful to look at, but they also have value in locating directions as I drive. If I get into strange territory, I can always tell what d...

The Empty Tomb

There were various reactions to Jesus’ “empty tomb” on the first Easter. Startled! Astonishment! Fear! The guards were really scared, but their bosses paid them to lie about the empty tomb. The apostles did not know what to think. Mary thoug...

Tongue of Fire

James 3:5 A bit in the mouth of a horse controls the whole horse. A small rudder on a huge ship in the hands of a skilled captain sets a course in the face of the strongest winds. A word out of your mouth may seem of no account, but it can accomplish nearly anything—or destroy it!

Christmas Is Not just A Day

Beautiful needle point work by Sharon Burke

Shining brightly in the silent night, the great star of Bethlehem alerted the astrologists to Jesus birth and His location. He was a light in the darkness.

Christmas comes near the end of the year, and this year it seems to have extra...

Year of the Holy Spirit

Praise You, God Almighty! You are amazing! This morning I watched a video that went into a process of slow motion and speeding it up. One incredible part showed a dragonfly which amazingly enough has 4 wings that can go in individual directions allowing the dragonfly to go forwards, backwards, sideways and hover. You designed that Lo...

Join in the Battle

Even though we are living in the last days, days when evil is fighting to conquer the world, we have reason to rejoice! This new year is going to bring God's hands moving in powerful new ways so long as we remain close to our God in obedience.

The Bible tells us in the last days hearts will grow cold; well the battle for the h...

Climb Any Mountain

Posted on January 2, 2015 at 6:35 AM Comments comments (0)

Watching the mountain climber swinging beneath the overhang, my stomach was in knots of concern for him. Then the camera showed a close up of his face, and it exposed no fear. Despite the thousand foot fall below, his face showed only determination as his eyes searched for the next move. Slowly I watched his body begin to swing. I closed my eyes in prayer for him. When I looked again he had maneuvered himself into a ...

December 31, 2014 Last day of 2014. The year has come to an end, never more to be seen. It’s the last morning I shall ever write 2014 as my daily date. Now the new begins, and Lord You are doing a new thing. . .

Luke 2:16-20 AMP

So they went with haste and [by searching] found Mary and Joseph, and the Baby lying in a manger. And when they saw it, they made known what had been told them concerning this Child, And all who heard it were astounded and marveled at what the shepherds told them. But Mary was keeping within herself all these things (sayings), weighing and pondering them in...

A Baby Is the Answer

Posted on December 19, 2014 at 6:45 AM Comments comments (0)

Tragedies continue to plague our world. Hatred filled evil ones murder a school full of children. Such vile work of satan brings a great cloud of tremendous sadness covering the earth. I lift those parents and loved ones up asking You Lord for Your comfort to fill them; there is no other that can help such sorrow. For us who see this depraved wickedness, all we can do is go before our mighty God and call upon the divine power of heaven to come against the at...

Hound After the Heart

I’m comfortable in the throne room, welcomed by my God and King. Sometimes I just go in to rest and enjoy some peace. Other times I go to make a request of Daddy God. This morning I go seeking His guidance for the day.

How do I come?

Like a 2 year old walking up to ...

Am remembering a story I heard from a man named John who shared a memory from his childhood. His Daddy was a very important businessman in town, a banker, yet he was always welcome in his Daddy’s office.

He had recently learned to ride his new bike, and one day he decided to ride his bi...

Walk About' Mind

Posted on December 5, 2014 at 6:35 AM Comments comments (0)

Don’t understand why, but sometimes my journey feels fruitless and just like vague wanderings. That was the case the other day, when suddenly, my mind took a "walk about": daily lessons? day by day lessons? How often can they bring new truth? Is there new truth or is it that my understanding of truth gets enlarged? Indeed!

Yes, like when I was shot through with a l...

He Pulled Me Out Of A Pit

Sometimes when awakening, it feels like my emotions are in charge. That is usually not a good thing; because of dreams or mood chemicals outa balance, or something that happened the day before, or whatever, there is a sadness, a dissatisfaction, a sore on my soul.

It is then that all my vulnerable places are magnified....

Immense Power Flows in Us

While praising and worshiping God at church Sunday, I was overcome with the vision, a realization of the power of Jesus and His gift to us. . . His NAME: I am seated with Jesus at the right hand of the Father, and suddenly the power of God surrounded me. Have you ever been in a strike area during a lightening storm and had your...

Depth 4

Here I am at the bottom of the sea with Jesus and the Treasure chest. It’s been a somewhat exhausting swim, but valuable in growth and learning! Now the goal is within reach. The front of the chest has buckles holding it shut tight. Releasing these, and already escaping from opening cracks is a bright golden light. Gently lifting the lid, amazement fills my soul. What is contained inside looks like parchment encased in translucent golden balls.
